You're better off going on Amazon to get reliable cameras and a monthly fee of $3. $2000+ for 3 cameras and window and door security isn't worth it when I've already had 2 break ins. I asked to get a technician weeks ago and only just found out through ADT that my contract was actually through safe haven after being on hold for literally 2+ hours and having a call go blank twice when trying to get connected to the Fresno location. The only person who reached out to me was a man on vacation via text. From there they had tech support call me instead of a technician coming out. It's cheaper at this point to stay in my contract, but I'll do everything I can to make sure people don't sign up for this like I did. A sales person from this company walked into the garage of our new house and knocked on our door at 9pm. They knew (and referenced) the name of the company we used to get our home loan. They then told my pregnant wife (who was home alone) that it was part of our loan agreement to sign up for their services, then told her it was illegal not to let them in the house. Safe Haven/ADT is at my house with a new employee they are training, giving their security system speech to my roommate at the time, again, while I'm outside. Who is worse? A loan shark or Safe Haven ? At least, with a loan shark, you know they are asking for a money they loaned you. Safe haven wants to force you to pay for service you don't want. It's all nice and great until you want to cancel. They carry their contracts like Jehovah witnesses carry their Bible. There are many better options out there than these crooks. A gentleman with the title of relocation manager solicited on our property on the 14th of March(Saturday) to try to sell ADT services. After about 30mins of talking to him, we decided to give Safe Haven a try even though we are thinking of other DIY systems out there. The man scheduled a technician(Phil) to come in on Monday (3/16) at 4pm. Phil arrived on Monday at around 4:45pm. The whole process took till around 10pm before Phil finished. I had to miss 2 important meetings during this time because no one informed me that it was going to take 5hours+ to install a few equipment but that is not the reason for my frustration today. After Phil installed the main unit, he tried upselling me on other devices like smart door locks, door bell, garage opener, etc. I told him I'm not sure about what I see in the photos as some of the devices look too old for me. He mentioned that I have 3 days to try them and can cancel if I don't like them. I was particularly interested in the smart lock but he didn't have it available with him. He said they have a much recent one and he would bring it on Wednesday (3/18) to install it. He came on Wednesday to finish the installation of the smart lock. He came around 4pm again and left around 6pm I believe. After my wife and I used the system as a whole on Thursday, we decided not to go with ADT. Since it was night time and figured we still have Friday or Monday to cancel (Because everything was not installed until Wednesday). I called (3/20) at 11:59am to request a cancellation only to be told by the agent, Jamaine that yesterday was my last day to request a cancellation without being changed 70% of 3 years worth of service. I asked to stop the service as I would not be going forward with it and he said he couldn't do it. I requested a supervisor and Brittany Shorts gave me a call back stating that the 3 day period starting counting the day I signed the contract which was late Monday night. I asked how Safe Haven could in good faith try to charge what would be roughly $1600 on a system I only had 1 day to truly use and test which was on Thursday? She kept referring to the contract and states she will not be waiving the cancellation fee. Could someone help me understand why we were allowed 1 day to try a system but want to enforce a 3 day period contract on us? How can SafeHaven enforce a contract when not all parts of the installation were complete? How can we as a customer review an incomplete system? Safe Haven actually isn't bad if you just read your contract. The equipment is very good to have as it has made my family feel much safer. The contract is a 36 month contract, and technicians will come to your house free of charge for warranted issues during the first 90 days of service to fix your equipment. After 90 days, there's a $59+tax service fee for warranted issues and $85+tax for unwarranted issues. (Changing your internet password and requesting a tech to come out is unwarranted, so I recommend a callback from Safe Haven's tech support to fix that for free). If you're still having the same issue after your paid service fee trip, just notify Safe Haven within 30 days of that appointment and they'll waive the service fee to come back out. The goal is to not charge you a service fee for the same issue within 30 days. If you choose to cancel your contract before 36 months, there is an early termination fee that is 75% of your remaining balances (how many months are left x monthly monitoring rate). There are ways to get out of this ETF such as military orders to relocate for more than 90 days, or if you're a certain age and moving into an assisted living home. If you're moving, there are movers options where Safe Haven will move your equipment to a new home. This company isn't looking to scam anyone. Everything is in the contract. You can cancel the contract with no penalty at ALL if you call and cancel within the first 3 days after the first installation appointment. (Sometimes they'll schedule a second appointment to connect your cameras) The whole thing is pretty straightforward, just read your contract and you'll have a great experience as my family and I have. read more

This company is a scam they are ripping off new homeowners with false advertisement. I was told I was being gifted the ADT security service with my new home purchase NOT Safe Haven Security LLC. I was told by the installer that came to my home the day before Thanksgiving 11/22/23 that I could cancel the service in 30 days if it wasn't a "good fit".? I called on 12/5/2023 to cancel the service and I was transferred from the real ADT to Safe Haven and was told I had to pay $1700 for the equipment in order to cancel the service. When they came to my home they identified as ADT reps. No one specified Safe Haven security LLC. That is not what the technician (Baris) told me when he came to install the doorbell camera. He only came on thanksgiving eve to solidify the sale. He explained he could only install the doorbell camera because that was all he had but not to worry because another tech would be out to complete the installation and that I could cancel within 30 days if the system wasn't a good fit for my family once completely installed. When the second technician (Brian) came to set up the back yard cameras he explained that everything was all jacked up and the first tech was new so he supposedly fixed everything and set everything up correctly so that the system could work properly but problems still persisted even with the system "completely" installed. The system wasn't detecting packages, alerting to people on my property or informing me when people were in my back yard. When the third technician came he refused to give me his name he just shouted Safe Haven Security. When I asked about the 30 day cancellation and he said to call in because I was going to have to pay. I asked why when the system wasn't working properly and it hadn't been 30 days, he stated that he fixed it and moving forward it should be working fine he explained that it wasn't activated to detect packages or people on my property so moving forward it should do what its supposed to do. However the system still wasn't detecting packages or people on my property. I just bought my home in Denison tx, my lender referred me to safehaven adt bc I'm a disabled combat veteran O.I.F, and they claim to want to take care of vets. I had some of my security equipment installed on the 04/23/2025 , which at the time I signed my contract and they took out 2289.49 , and then the next day they took out 69.27 , unbeknownst to me they had taken out 139.64 on 03/29/2025 it came across my bank statement as fast food. The 23rd when I signed my contract they haven't at that point installed all the equipment, so I still have holes in my walls , I then on the 25th decided to cancel my contract and contacted them via voice-mail and, email and followed all the steps to cancel a contract with adt which I sent priority mail to Boca Raton Florida. When safehaven reached out to me they said they weren't gonna refund my money and just kept making excuses of why not on their recorded line , I told them they need to give me back my money, and they said no so I said I'll go the legal way. The company set up the security in my house, we are located in an urban area, there is crime and the technician was amazing, knew his facts. Description of the equipment was spit on. We had a break into our garage about 6 months after installation and the system did exactly what it was supposed to. Our camera caught the perp and when police arrived the clip was used in court. This company called claiming they were ADT and were going to finish installing my smart home system. Idiot that I am, I guess I signed a contract without reading the fine print that I was locked into a 3 year contract, and I have a 3-day window to cancel at the end or pay a $1000 dollar fee. 1.5 years after they installed a now obsolete Skybell (with unusable video quality), it's already broken. So now I have no working doorbell. AWESOME. But I'm still locked in to paying them an extra $9 a month for video monitoring. Sure I can get a new "upgrade" package Skybell, which will likely cost hundreds plus installation fees AND Skybell is the only system ADT uses (Safe Haven pretends to be ADT, but they subcontract to them). Been a customer for 7 months. In that time our security system has barely worked. The door sensors routinely fall off the doors, which causes false alarms anytime we try to arm the system. At this point, we no longer arm the system because we cannot expect it to not have a false alarm. We are paying for a security system that provides no security. The only thing worse than their equipment is their customer service. We've had two techs come out over the last few months, and that's fixed the problem for under a week before we're back to square one. I have tried on multiple occasions to reach out to Safe Haven for this, and my representative has not returned my emails in over a month. Their phone service is basically useless as well. Their archaic contract system means we need to pay roughly $1300 to get out of this useless service. We'll happily pay that to not have to deal with this company ever again. I'm curious if these systems were ever designed to work, or if the company's entire goal is to sign people to huge contracts and then extort them if they try to leave the service.
