I don't often write reviews, but after my experience at…read moreCustom Car Works, I felt I had to. From the moment I walked in, Jacob treated me with such kindness, patience, and respect. My daughter had called around because I needed a new radio for my Toyota Camry, and after reading all of his wonderful reviews, we decided to give him a call. The reviews were absolutely right. At first, Jacob believed the problem was with the touch screen/display (the glass portion of the radio), so he ordered the replacement part. Before moving forward, he realized that replacing the screen wouldn't solve the problem after all. Rather than charging us for a part that wasn't needed, he absorbed the cost himself. He then continued troubleshooting until he determined that the entire radio needed to be replaced. He found a replacement radio, installed it at a very fair price, and made sure everything worked perfectly. That kind of honesty and integrity is rare these days. Instead of taking the easy route, Jacob did what was right, and that says everything about the kind of person he is. What impressed me most wasn't just his expertise --it was the way he treated me. He made me feel like I mattered, not just like another customer. In today's world, that kind of genuine care is rare. Jacob is one of those special people who goes above and beyond because that's simply who he is. His integrity, warmth, and outstanding customer service are second to none. I couldn't be happier with my new radio, but even more than that, I'm grateful for the experience. If you're looking for someone you can completely trust, I wholeheartedly recommend Jacob at Custom Car Works. He's a true gentleman, and businesses like his deserve to be recognized and supported. Requested a buff and shine on my vehicle, really…read moreit was just a cleanup job because it had already been buffed and polished, earlier in the week. ...but there was excess polish left on the car from a past job. Originally I Was told the job would take three hours, for a price of $249. Which I agreed to. Once the detailers got here, he said if I wanted the tiny strip area around my windows done as well, it would be an extra $50 because it would take him an extra 30 minutes. They knew I was on a time restriction because they had to be finished by 3 o'clock for a showing on my house. So I agreed because of the extra time And felt it would make him hurry up and finish the job so that I could show my house at the scheduled time. They finished in LESS THAN TWO HOURS and still charged me $300. When I questioned the extra $50 that I was originally told was because it would take him so much longer, he said no, the 50 extra dollars is for the trim around the windows. So, beware that when you are paying for someone to buff your car, that different parts of the car, which should be included, are going to cost you extra. It's like selling someone my house and then saying "OH YOU WANT THE AIR CONDITIONING? That's extra" How about I come to clean your house, and tell you (after we have already agreed to a price), that if you want me to clean the floors that's extra. Wouldn't go over too well. Car looks fine but I don't like getting jerked around for more money once they show up at my house. *** After speaking with Francesca at the office, she is now accusing me of making up stories, and insist that the detailers were there for longer than they said they were. Even though I have screenshots, and timestamps, and there are cameras all over my driveway. Not to mention the fact that, doesn't everyone know that Tesla records everything happening on the outside of their vehicle??. It's infuriating that after I write a review, she says that they were there for a little OVER two hours. Which somehow justifies a price increase, not agreed to, for "the trim" around my windows? It's part of the car. I watched the guys merely wipe the area. It literally didn't even take them five minutes. Now she is threatening to "report me". What a scammy business they are running.
