Vidar Customs - Car Stereo Installation Near Me

When I called Chris, he was super knowledgeable and offered to send me the exact parts (with some options) that I needed. I needed an after market stereo as my car is older and he offered to add on a backup camera for just $99 more. He then came to me to install everything. When he arrived he was focused on the details and realized we had ordered a wrong part. He offered to go pick it up vs me ordering it so that we could keep the same appointment. Once finished, everything looked perfect and was functioning. I could even wirelessly pair my very old iPhone which I couldn't do in my last car. He offers lifetime guarantee on the instal, which hopefully I won't need. In an era when a lot of people lack integrity and pride in their job, Chris was a breath of fresh air. read more

Woohoo -- my new Viofo dash cam is installed, front and rear, and I couldn't be happier! If you're looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and reliable dash cam installer, look no further than Chris at Vidar Customs. I called on a Tuesday based on their excellent reviews, and Chris was at my door two days later, right on time. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. He walked me through the entire installation process in my Range Rover with precision and clarity -- thoroughly professional and impressively detail-oriented. Chris estimated the job would take about 45 minutes, and sure enough, that's exactly how long it took. Not only did he complete a flawless installation with invisible wires, but he also took the time to walk me through setting up the dash cam app on my phone, making sure everything was fully operational -- including parking mode. What really blew me away was that he had never seen my specific camera before, yet he knew every feature and could navigate the app like a pro. That level of expertise is rare. He also left my car's cabin spotless. Clean work, fair pricing, and exceptional service from start to finish. Chris and Vidar Customs have earned a customer for life. Highly recommend them for their mobile dash cam installation! read more

Chris came out to my residence, installed a dash camera with rear view cam. 1st time doing business with Vidar Customs. Chris arrived a few minutes before agreed appointment time. Introduced himself. He spoke about the install process, answered some of my questions I had. As he started the install, I was watching how he worked to be as detailed as if he were installing the dash cam. into his own car. He was very professional, did not make any bones about me kind of watching as he worked. He was very specific on checking certain wires / wiring in my car, regarding voltage. After install was complete, he made sure everything was working with the dash cam. He cleaned up any little trash. I would recommend him to anybody who wanted his services, he takes great pride in his work & satisfying his customers.. A ++++++++++++++++ read more

I made an appointment last week with Chris to install my dash and rear-view cams at 10:00 today at my condo. He was on time. Very professional, polite, and answered all my questions. It took about 2 and 1/2 hours to install. When he finished, he paired my phones to the app associated with the cameras, made sure they worked, walked me through the features, asked me about any questions I might have. The installation was done beyond my expectations. If anyone needs a real professional to come and install your cameras, Chris is the one. I have a brand-new Jaguar F-Pace and was a little worried about how the wiring and cameras would look. I had no need to worry. They were installed as if they weren't even there. Best money I have spent in a long time. read more

I hit a hiccup with contacting these guys. Got it straightened out. Chris took care of what I needed right away.

Wow, what a great stereo repair experience!! I found Vidar Chstoms on yelp as the aftermarket speakers in my Nissan Titan were not working. I called, he picked up, scheduled an appt for same day. Chris met me at my office and diagnosed the problem as a defective RCA cable along with possible rear speakers. Upon removing the rear speakers for inspection, the terminals were completely corroded so all he had to do was replace the RCA cable and install new connectors on the speakers and the system sounds like new. I am extremely partial to working directly with the person doing the work, and in this case, that person was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job, all without having to even drive anywhere to get the work done. Don't hesitate to work with Vidar Customs, it is always better to have the work done by a guy getting paid to do a good job, rather than by the hour, and Chris is as good as they get when t comes to stereo install. read more

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He installed speakers and an amp in my new truck. I had some issues with the way the speakers sounded. It was my issue and had nothing to do with the install. He came back out within a couple of days just to check out everything and wanted to make sure I was happy. I can't recommend him enough. read more

I needed some assistance with electronics on my vehicle and decided to call Vidar Customs due to their high rating and great reviews. The gentleman who answered was Chris I believe. He was very nice, informative, thorough with everything he was telling me. He looked up electrical charts to make sure everything I told him was right and the price was fantastic too, for the work he was going to do!! Because this was a tougher week for me in terms of funds and I needed my car fixed asap, I decided to fix it myself and all went well. However, I will ABSOLUTELY call Chris back for my stereo system, thats the next project I have to do. Been using a 20 year old boombox thus far haha. Highly recommended! Much love and peace to you all. read more

Chris was very responsive & knowledgeable while I was gathering info on the service I needed. He came to my house last Saturday to install the satellite radio and did an excellent job - he went above and beyond. He was very friendly, on time for the appointment, knew what he was doing and really, how much more convenient can it get as to have the work done in your own driveway?! Thanks so much Chris, you're a true professional and I'll gladly recommend your services. read more

Great experience with Chris from Vidar Customs. I was looking for a replacement factory radio that offered back up cam, bluetooth, and dvd solutions for my SUV. Being new to the area and not wanting to get ripped off, I combed through reviews and spoke to multiple places. Within 5 minutes of speaking with Chris, I was sold! He was knowledgeable, professional, and he educated me about my options. My install is now complete and the end result exceeded my expectations. My new radio has more capabilities than my over priced factory unit; the price for parts and service was fair; and the install was personalized and fast. Thanks, Chris! read more
