Came here on a Thursday for happy hour after work. And just so you know, Thursday is ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR! The only disappointment was me and my friends were the only ones there! Every now and then one other person would pop in. But for 2 hours, my party of 4 were it. The drinks were pretty good. We decided to order food and the food was SO GOOD! We ordered a meat and cheese board and the mac and cheese. Both were delicious but the mac and cheese was the BEST I've had! I hope this place makes it. I'll be back to eat again =)

Cheers!

Super excited about this new place in Clear Lake! This island lounge is the perfect spot for grabbing a tropical drink- perfect for those hot Texas summers or late nights! During our first visit, we walked in and were able to get a table. It was a little dark in there, but you get that lounge vibe, cozy feel, good music! The décor is very tropical, island, tiki glasses. We were greeted and ordered drinks that were served promptly. The owner came by and chatted for a second and then mentioned that Sunday they would be offering "Drunken Cinnamon Rolls", which of course I knew I would return to try! On Sunday, we came in right at 12 PM and were able to get a spacious table. I was excited to see a small crowd coming through the longer we stayed! We started with the following drinks: Pineapple Mimosa, French 75, Mai Tai and the Island Old Fashion- honestly, you cant go wrong with any of these! For food, we did two orders of the drunken cinnamon rolls- one with the bacon crumbles... HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We also got two orders of the sliders so we could try both options and an order of Mac & Cheese- again, you can't go wrong! The Mac was baked to perfection and had little chunks of pineapple to added that island flavor. The sliders are served on Hawaiian Rolls- ummmm YUM! I look forward to them expanding their menu- both drinks and food! All the staff is friendly and makes great recommendations! FYI- signs aren't up outside, so make sure you don't miss it. Come give this place a try! I can't wait to see the great things they have coming up & watching them expand!

Talented bar staff knows how to create fancy toppings :)

I don't always drink Mai Tais but when I do I'm going to be sure to to drink them at The Volcano Room! So finally Clear Lake is getting some better selections in cool venues with good some good mixology. This is one of them. If you appreciate attention to detail, good service and tasty flavors than I'd recommend dropping in here. Drinks : Excellent. The bartenders know how to mix. And I mean what to mix, when to put it in, how much and presentation. Oh and did I mention heavy pours but without compromising the experience or taste. I definitely recommend the Mai Tai as a treat. Haven't had one as good since Hawaii. Most places skip ingredients or replace. Not to mention they had the BOOM! at the end with the flame. Price : I've heard a couple complain but I think the VP prices are right on, if not a less than you'd paid in city for something comparable. You get excellent, heavy pour drinks, GOOD drinks, with amazing service. They also offer Happy Hour with speciality drinks and such. If one thinks that the high price, maybe you should try a $15, 8 oz pour of wine down the way (sidenote: love that place too) or a bottom self liquor at that Boat place with slow service (again, sorta like that place just trying to make the comparison). Each place has it's purpose and this one is definitely attempting to raise the bar on quality - which I tremendously appreciate as a self proclaimed food and drink snob. Atmosphere : A bit dark for my taste but then again I need 1.75 cheaters and have a hard time driving at night. Of course, it's excellent for making out in the back room on the couch. I do love the hanging bamboo rods and orange tall back leather seats (favorite color). It's definitely a chill kind-of-place. They completely opened up the place (looks nothing like the dying coffee house that was there before) which allowed for creating some individual rooms. The cabana room is great for small private parties. Nice because it's still open to the rest of the place. The also have a good balance of chairs/tables vs standing room. Well thought out. They even thought of you smokers (although you should quit) and extended the porch on the outside. Owners : Met Stephen and his love Sherry. Both super sweet. Best part - they listen! They are open to all and every kind of idea. In addition they are super welcoming. I also know they are always attempting to create "the new" with still staying within their theme/brand. This makes for an awesome experience. Definitely top of my list for a great local experience. Aloha 'oe!

Overall cool tropical concept bamboo bar was neat. The main room was very open and holds a lot of people. The service was good. Crowd was mostly women. Seemed like a trendy spot you might find downtown. Drinks were mostly rum based but there was a full bar as well. Bartenders seemed to know how to craft a cocktail from the menu. When I ordered something other than a drink off the menu they didn't know where to locate the liquor. Limited wine, no list. Small bites on the menu as well looked good.

First time here. I love the Movie themed Martini. It wasn't to crowded. I love the fact you can pick your music ($$). The bartenders were very friendly. There is a food menu. I will have to look at it again.

Per recommendations in the area, we tried the crawfish. They're absolutely delicious and I'll gladly come back for those. The -2 stars is for the service. The guys working today were phenomenal. Went above and beyond their jobs. The lady waitress/bartender was a total joke. I didn't once get asked if I wanted more food or drinks. I also had to go out of my way to ask another employee to tell her to get us our check. The place was damn near empty. It wouldn't have hurt her to take 2 minutes out of her day to do her job. If the bar was busy, I understand. But damn near hiding in the kitchen makes it impossible for your guests to order more food or drinks. I know the owners expect more out of their employee. I trust this experience will be fixed.

I circled around multiple times before parking illegally. It was a busy night but part of the problem is a section of the parking lot is valet only. For regular parking. I really hate when places do this. Two thumbs down for the parking set-up. Luckily, once I made my way inside, things got better. McIntyre's is a huge bar. They have a spacious patio but we sat inside. There are plenty of TVs which make it a great spot to watch sports. And they even have a mini food court! I didn't eat but I noticed that one of the two spots serves Mexican fare. My buddy had some loaded fries with al pastor that looked incredible. He said it was good. I stuck with some beers. You'll find your usual assortments of cocktails, beer, and wine here. It's a full bar. Another pet peeve of mine? Cops are the door. It just kind of kills the vibe a little bit when there's a police officer staring at people. Not that anyone was up to no good but it's kind of like drinking while your grandma is watching. Just a little awkward. McIntyre's is comparable to Little Woodrows in the area. They're both huge sports bars with spacious patios. With that being said, I think Little Woodrows offers the better overall experience.

Friends invited me out for a Sunday night karaoke, from the door guy to the rest of the staff, I felt passive aggression but felt like I could write it off due to my anxiety. I was more right than I thought. My friends and I sit at the booth and realize the music happening featured the live vocals of a karaoke singer. We were impressed and were laughing about our surprise. The KJ walks up to us and tells us almost verbatim "if yall are gonna be yelling, do it somewhere else because it's disrespectful to the singer" like we're watching a Michael Jackson kill a rob zombie song when it was okay at fkn best. The singer gets off the stage, looks at us and says "thanks for the applause." I said "hey I think your song was great," immediately responded with "yeah, whatever," to which I said "hey man I'm tryin to tell you we liked your song, why is that an issue?" The bartenders seem hostage, we ended up leaving fast after the fact. I was side eyed for asking for a tequila shot, the only one I ordered tonight. My friend ordered tacos and the shredded cheese on top made Taco Bell look like a Michelin. I've never stepped foot upstairs despite going to scout bar for shows for years, and I only regret I did this one time. If I could leave no stars, reader, I'd pay this website to be able to do it. *PS*, if you're gonna hold the microphone to host karaoke, stop calling your participants assholes before they tell you to hold a mirror up to yourself, you sound like a jackass.

Fun place. A bit pricey, but what business isn't? I need to come up with eighty-five characters...read more

During the week or on weekends I go watch the games if I'm not at the actual game. The service, food, and overall ambience are always on point. Never misses. All of the servers are terrific, but one server who truly stands out is a beautiful server named Tay. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and that your experience is a great one. Bonus, she knows my order by heart every time I come since I come so much. Side note: If the Texans are playing (booooooooo!!!) lol get there early because lines get long. Especially during the playoffs, it fills up quickly. Any sporting events or pay-per-views on the weekend get there early so you can get a spot to sit. Also the food is actually good. My number one and favorite go to meal is the Southwest Turkey sandwich with two extra BBQ mayo sauces on the side for da win. I hate that you only get regular lays chips tho. If they had more of a variety of chips that would be fire. The flatbread pizzas are also great, especially the pepperoni with the ranch that comes with it. There are still plenty of items on the menu I'm looking forward to trying, but so far everything has been solid. Highly recommend this location for good food, great vibes, and even better service.
