Truly enjoyed the buying process...my salesman Gary, the sales manager, the negotiation process...no complaints there at all. The following info is why this is a 1 star rating. I was an out of town buyer (Las Vegas) and cash purchased this bike on a business trip. I told EVERYONE that I came into contact with during the sale that I would be back in one month to pick it up and ride it back from Portland to Las Vegas with my wife on the back. I contacted them again the week leading up to my arrival confirming day/time that I would be there...going straight from the airport to the dealership. The bike is a 2024 RG with 1460 miles on it at purchase (It was traded in 8 months prior with 1437 miles). One of the "benefits" claimed for this bike 1460 miles was that it had undergone the 5k service. 1. DELIVERY AND PAPERWORK ISSUES - Picking up a bike that had been paid for a month prior, shouldn't take over two hours to get the bike on the road. It seemed to be a surprise that the bike had already been paid for and the title should have been part of the paperwork packet. NOPE! It seems that having all the conversations of my Saturday arrival, a cash purchase a month earlier was not enough information for them to have the title available and get me on my way. The business office staff doesn't work weekends and the GM didn't seem that he was in charge to be able to make something happen with his staff to be able to get the title to me on delivery (again, not a local buyer but a long distance buyer with a several day trip home planned) so they had to FedEx it to me at one of the hotels I was staying at along my planned route home. Side point to that is that they weren't able to get it out on Monday so I had to drive the information bus on this as well and they finally got it out on Tuesday for Wednesday delivery to the next hotel. 2. MECHANICAL ISSUE - Remember...this bike supposedly had been "gone through" and the 5k service performed...this is the dealer having the bike for 8 months, one of those months the bike paid for and waiting on delivery to me. My wife and I were 250 miles from Portland taking the scenic routes south when we pulled off to see some falls. I noticed in my mirror that the bike started to blow an extreme amount of white smoke. We stopped for about 10 minutes to assess the situation. White smoke not terrible but something wrong...NO CELL SERVICE! How far are we going to have to walk, leaving the bike and our gear to get a signal?? You can imagine the rest of the questions going through our heads. I started the bike back up and no smoke. We rode to where we could get a signal and called Volcano. Service told us that it was a common experience with these engines with condensation in the oil (verified this in online forums). I wanted to take it to the next dealer along our route but was told they couldn't help with that as they were not part of their dealer group. So we kept going, no issues. 3. MECHANICAL ISSUES AGAIN - So the next night we stay in Napa with apparently no issues, feeling good. The next morning we pull out of the hotel and it immediately goes into limp mode...not good. Got it back into the hotel lot, put my wife in an uber to SFO and called a tow company (this is where knowing that I had a HOG membership with the purchase of the bike would have been helpful) $469 and 3 hours later I am finally at a HD dealer to have it looked at. (NOTE: The servicing dealer was amazing. I know that many dealers make traveling riders a priority but they definitely made this event way less painful than it could have been) 4. PRETTY SURE I WAS OUTRIGHT LIED TO - Was told that they were going through the bike before delivery...that the 5k service was done on this bike. Also the recall I asked about was going to be addressed when "they would go through the entire bike". I would say that both of these things are definitely not true. I have a copy of the bikes service history and the 5k service is not listed...the 1k service is but not the 5k. The last service prior to my emergency work was December 11th, 2025 and it was an oil change. The emergency service found 3 service codes that needed two updates and a cam sensor replaced. The air cleaner housing had oil both pooled at the bottom and coating the inside of the housing. So my experience was that they are on top of making the sale happen and once that is done, you are on your own. read more

service providers seem to always have some sort of attitude, was sold on an agreement of "lifetime warranty" on tires. 11k mile requirement was a suggestion not a requirement (as said by the guy who sold me the bike). new bike broke down day after 10k service. Supposedly was a loose voltage regulator wire that they had installed prior (faulty part that was swapped out under warranty). I still had to pay a service fee that was not discussed. I was told that the manager would reimburse me with no luck. Only bad attitudes to people who spend good money there. Maybe Steelhead Harley will treat me better next time. read more

The first day we arrived, Josh H. introduced himself as a Fit Specialist. He explained a few ongoing sales promos and stressed that he would do everything he could to help us out. That day, we were just gathering information and looking at the variety of bikes. Josh gave us space, answered our few questions, and we went home to discuss possibilities. When we returned to finalize a purchase, we waited for Josh. He had already earned our trust from the first impression. He continued to be helpful as he also explained where his limitations were. Recently bought a new Pan-Am ST and had a minor hiccup causing a coolant leak. The service department was right on it. They communicated quickly and proposed a resolution that was very fair. Ms. Mikayla B.C., the newest addition to Volcano Harley-Davidson, Gladstone, Oregon. She is new to selling Harleys but has a great foundation as she has an early 80 ShovelHead, that still has the classic kick start (My favorite aspect of vintage Harley bikes!) and newer electric start that was born in a 65 PanHead. Ms. Mikayla B.C. appeared very knowledgeable on the many safety features built into the newer Harley bikes. My past Harley was a 65 PanHead chopper on a straight leg rigid frame with only a rear break, so the new bikes offer a smoother and safer ride, with better breaking power. We spent about 45 minutes walking around and looking at the many new models, as well as, the selection of used bikes on the second floor room behind a closed door. I will say that she demonstrated the many models and options available for a person looking to relive their younger Harley days, on a smooth riding bike with a myriad of options available in the many USA made Harley Davidson bikes that ranged from a full-dressed Heritage Classic to a more sporty Harley Low-Rider! I decided to get a couple of Fobs "married" to my motorcycle. Everything was set up. When they said it was done they delivered it. I found out the fobs never did have any batteries so they couldn't have been "married" to my bike yet they are telling me they were "married". Its obvious if the fobs won't start my bike they are not "married". My original Fob starts my bike right away but the two fobs they are suppose to have "married" to my bike won't do anything. They never "married" the fobs to the bike like they claim. I don't know why they didn't do it, I just know those fobs will not start my Motorcycle. So it seem obvious to me that they didn't "marry" the fobs to the bike. So it looks like I ended up paying for service I never received They were really nice to me when I was about to buy a motorcycle but they have turned out to be mean spirited people in my opinion read more

In dealing with Mooyo and evaluating the options of trading in or using the Freedom Promise (same dealership and within a year), it came out that the price of a new Low Rider S went up over $10k. They did this to lure me in and try to get more money out of me. Completely shady deal and super shady person. The price was settled the day before and I came in the next day to do all the paperwork.
