Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Was told I would receive a call back and never did. 4 hours later I called EDR back and Ashton answer the phone, I had questioned why no one called me back and he hung up on me, if I were to do that to a customer I would be fired. I now in the future I will take my bike to another shop. There loss is another shops gain. You have Ashton to thank for the loss of a high paying customer. Sincerely, Mark A. Fernandez (510)714-8999

I had my 08 zx10 built by Eric in 2011. P&P Head, valves, pistons, cams etc... Still running just the way I got it back from him! Would go nowhere else!!

Couldn't ask for a better crew. Every bike is treated like their own. Fair pricing. Great people.

My bikes only go here as the Owner is meticulous and every bike gets inspected before it leaves the race shop.

We agreed on a price, we agreed on how I would sign documents, and I agreed to let them run my credit. First the problem was the system was down, waited a day (even though my credit monitoring told me an inquiry had been placed). Now, I get a call saying my credit was good, but the "banks they use don't lend to out of state people due to the Holidays" (it's past the holidays). I've never heard a bigger line of BS in my life. I've probably purchased 10 motorcycles throughout my life out of state on finance. If you are such an incompetent dealer to not even know your banks lending preferences so you can notify the consumer BEFORE they take a hit to their credit, then you shouldn't even be in business, let alone lending on bikes. Disappointed, loved the bike, seemed like nice people, now I will never do business with this place again. And I absolutely LOVE my time wasted and my credit taking a 3 point hit, due to people that dont even know their own business.

Earlier this year I broke down on the side of the road and called them; they arrived promptly and were able to provide a roadside fix so I could get home safely and get a permanent repair in place. It was a hot summer day and I was stuck on the side of I-5 without water or shade and the owner called in one of his team that was off that day to come get me since the on-duty rep was out on a tow in another area. They went to great lengths to make sure someone was on side promptly and I was safe and assisted. Months later, my bike broke down at home. I wasn't able to be with the vehicle and ride to the shop with Thunder Mtn, but because of my first great experience I knew they would always act with integrity. They picked up my vehicle from home and took it to the shop for me, calling when they were onsite and loaded up and right after it was dropped off at the shop. Butch, the owner, communicated well throughout and is such a kind person to boot. He, as his employees, always act with the utmost integrity and thoughtfulness. I have Thunder Mtn programmed in my phone now, and they're my go-to for towing and roadside assistance. They're always there when you need help. They make it all so easy - thank you for your service!

I would have never known this place existed if I hadn't ordered a tire online and the seller had a note that shipping was free if I did a will call at Cycle Gear. OK... they are just a couple of miles away so why not. So looking at the place I figured it was mostly targeted at relatively new riders who were looking for helmets and other rider gear. And they certainly have racks of that stuff. Talking to one of the guys at the desk I inquired about rotor upgrades and he said, "sure!". Pulled out a catalog and showed me a few choices that would fit my bike. This fellow was clearly more knowledgeable than those guys at a parts store. You know the type. What year, model, engine size, color, blah, blah, blah so that they can figure out what windshield wiper will fit. And inevitably hand you a part that DOESN'T fit. So in chatting I find out they will install tires if you bring in the wheel. Install and balance for a pretty reasonable price. I see that at least one Yelper complained that the store manager would not allow him to watch the process which could be a problem for me. That's my life we're talking about. I do my own work or I watch whoever is doing the work to be sure it's done correctly. If that's going to be a problem for them I will be forced to update this review. But for now, my experience with Cycle Gear has been 100% positive. Great prices. Great staff. Easy to get to. Lots of parking. I haven't looked over their inventory closely but I suspect that most repair and maintenance items will need to be ordered which is usually not a problem for me. I buy pretty much nothing at the dealerships and, in fact, the dealerships usually don't have what I need in stock anyway. So I can buy for less online. Not that it's a big deal for my purposes but Cycle Gear is more geared to sport bike riders and not Harleys. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing most of the gear they have on the rack. No judgments and no minus stars. CG knows their market and their model seems to be working for them. I'm just happy to have a resource to have tires installed and also purchase parts from. Very glad they are so close by!
