I have used VOIPLY several years and have been very happy. I lowered the star rating to 4 since I can no longer call legitimate 800 #s in the US due to fraud concerns, even tho I am calling from US. It can be a concern for some. It's something about my area code and amount of fraud in that area code using 800 numbers. It has terrible customer service. I have been trying to get them to fix my voice mail system for two weeks. You can only talk to AI "Jack" on the phone or AI "Mike" on Chat. They promise to correct things and give you a ticket number. Then you get an email saying they have fixed things and your ticket is canceled. Problem is nothing has been done and you have to start the process again , again, and again. I am so frustrated. You can't talk with a human. read more

We've had voiply for 5+ years. Works well, solid performance. All issues over the years have traced back to my internet service provider or home network. It requires some tech savvy to get it and keep it running in a home network. I suspect most all problems other reviewers have are network problems which can be puzzling. A service I would not recommend. This company does not provide a good phone service nor customer service. I opened up a monthly agreement to use their service on a monthly basis to try them out. I was charged $19.46 that was suppose to be for the 1st and 2nd month services. Then I was charged $14.20 in November and $14.00 in December. The service charges were not consistent from month to month, but the service seemed to be good. So I decided to enroll in their annual plan, which was suppose to get 2 months free for doing so. After I enrolled in the annual plan, my issues started with this company. After attempting to enroll the annual plan, on the Voiply web site, it stated my transaction was declined. I thought it was a system issue due to I had several $1000 available on my credit card and it was the current credit card I was paying my monthly plan through. So I tried again the next day to enroll in the annual plan. Once again, on the Voiply website I received a declined message, so I tried a different credit card, same issue. The next day I received phone calls from both of my credit card company's stating that my cards were blocked due possible fraud since there were so many failed attempts that Voiply attempted to process. I had only attempted 2 times with the first card and once with the 2nd card. I have no idea how many times Voiply attempted to process the transaction. This was the start of my problems. Due to my Credit Card blocking the transaction, Voiply decided to cancel my services for non payment, even though I had already paid for my service on a monthly basis. So I contacted Voiply, they re-established my plan under the monthly service, but by doing so they charged my credit card again for a monthly fee. After I complained about the double charge, instead of getting a refund, they charged me a 3rd time. I figured I would give them a 2nd chance. In January they charged my card $14.60, as I said no consistency in their monthly fees. I went to use my phone one day to place a call and found that I had no service. I contacted Voiply and was told that it was due to non payment. My service was paid until the end of February. I also to Voiply, since I had prepaid a month, technically my phone service should have been valid until March. The representative told me that I was confused that the first payment that I made was for the 1st month and for the equipment, their little phone adapter. I totally disagreed with them and stated that the adapter was shipped to me and was suppose to be free. To no avail in my argument, I ended up cancelling their service. Upon doing so, I had to pay for a return label, since they would provide a free one. I was also told that upon providing a tracking number, I would receive a refund for the last months payment within 24 hours. I didn't receive my refund until 2 weeks later. Long story short, this company is all into taking you money, not providing you service and jerking you around in the process. Don't use them. This is a poor service. read more

I waited 10 business days for the equipment to arrive. The router knocks out my entire network. Wi-Fi and ethernet. I am not going to hire someone to come in and reprogram my router to be compatible with their modem. And I am not willing to pay an additional $45 for their modem that actually works. Phone works on and off. Many times, it rings once then changes to a busy signal and cannot get through. Got this phone for an elderly who I need to make sure I can get in contact with, and this is NOT working out, switching to a landline phone. (Plus whenever the phone does not work, you can never get a technical support. Not sure why I didn't check Yelp unless I was unable to find VoIPLy here. I signed up in June 2020. I had issues from the start. While the Customer Service is really quick and appears helpful, the issues never ceased. I would have dropped calls and calls simply not coming through. I paid for a year and gave it 6 months. I really, really wanted to like VoIPLy but it was a nightmare. If I choose to have a home phone, I need to know that it will work 99.9% of the time. They initially tried to tell me it was my internet speed but I have fiber optic and I also have been working at home with zero-dropped WebEx calls and video. I would really like for them to refund 50% of my fees but I know that will never happen. Trust that the other reviews are sadly accurate. read more

i ported my home phone number which i had for 40+ years to voiply mid november. they even worked with me on the technical side to get it working. i also paid a year in advance. i received phone calls for awhile and then the other day, i said to my wife, i haven't heard the phone ring for awhile. i dialed it on my cell phone and got some answering machine which was not mine. voiply at first wanted to give me 2 months credit and offered to give me a new number. how crazy are they? i had paid for a year. also it wasn't my problem about losing the phone number, they did it on their own. i had bragged them up earlier, but everyone now is going to hear how bad they are and not to do business with them! read more

I was a customer for about 1.5 months and recently cancelled. They provided a voiply adapter that you could easily connect to your router and phone. While I was on the phone with people, I would receive fast busy tones which means I got disconnected. This would happen every one out of 3 phone calls. I wasn't sure if the issue was on my end or the other person's end. However, I finally figured out it was VoiPly that was the issue. Also when I was talking on the phone, I could hear somebody else speaking. This is a very big security issue. I do NOT recommend this service. They only offer 30 day money back guarantee. So they claim to have Android, IOS, Windows, Mac support, in reality they have Chrome support. Their app ONLY works via an open browser window. Accidentally close the window and you have NO COMMUNICATIONS! There are also no Chrome extensions that currently work on their "new platform", which seems to have fewer working features than their old platform. Unable to import contacts. Customer service is good and responds quickly while you are signing up, but gets slower when you have problems. The website is very slick, but the product is simply lacking. I ordered one of the free phones just to try it out, for a free phone this device did everything I needed and the setup was simple with the scheduled setup call they offer. Chat support online has been great for answering my questions although I didn't have many. It seems they have all the features of the bigger companies like Vonage but at a fraction of the cost. I believe I'll be replacing all of my current phones with their service after trying them for a month, things have been great so far! read more

Be warned about Voiply and their "30 day money back guarantee". In our experience, the company was horrendous in more ways than one. We tried their services and they didn't work. When we tried to cancel within 2 weeks, they didn't refund our money. After many emails and 2 months later, they gave us a partial refund but held back $35 "restocking fee". Voiply is god awful! I decided to try them as they were much cheaper than the VoIP provider I had before. First, after switching they botched my number transfer and I had to talk to tech support twice to resolve it (BTW, their idea of tech support is somebody who can barely speak English but claims to be named Steve). After that I had intermittent problems where half the time where after picking up from a received call or dialing a number, there was no audio transmitted or received. 2 days on the phone with tech support and they told me the problem was my ISP or my router and they can't fix it even though I told them I didn't have any problems with my previous VoIP provider. I ended up getting a new provider (which worked fine out of the box), transferred my number again and canceled Voiply and returned the VoIP adapter within the 30 day trial period. Their return department claimed I didn't return the ethernet cable (which I did) and the adapter manual (which I also did), so they docked $40 off my refund. I paid those useless idiots $40 for the privilege of going without reliable phone service for a month and the hassle of wasting tons of time with their incompetent, useless, condescending tech support people. I cannot stress enough how bad Voiply is and they should be avoided like the plague. read more
