Although it'll take a while to be able to afford the cost of fixing the house's foundation, I was able to have them fix the front porch since it is connected to the roof. They did a great job with leveling it, and even explaining to me what they are doing. All in all, I am quite impressed with Groundworks, and will look forward to figuring out a way to be able to afford to get the house's foundation fixed.

He supplied us with an estimate within a day or two and was incredibly responsive throughout the process. Sebastian and his team showed up exactly as promised and over three long, full days was able to install a French Drain and Sump Pump with a battery back up in the basement. Outside, he created a French Drain system behind our retaining wall along with reinforcements. This company's customer service skills and communication are horrid. I had no problem scheduling an…read moreappointment for someone to come out and sell me on their business but they day the work was supposed to be done, I had to call the company 5 times for ETA checks on their technicians. They were supposed to arrive between 9-9:30am and didn't arrive until 1:15pm. Each time I called inquiring about the tech's ETA, I was told by the receptionist that they would check and call me "right back" and they never did. The 5th time the receptionist said the supervisor of the techs said they were dispatched to my location early that morning, but he doesn't know where they are or why they didn't show up. The receptionist called back later to say the techs should arrive by 12pm but they didn't arrive until 1:15pm. When the techs arrived, I found out that their supervisor told them to do a job prior to coming to my location. Del Val did not notify me of any of this the 5 times I called asking about the ETA; they went as far as to say "I hope they (techs) weren't in an accident". When the work was complete and I paid in full, I was supposed to receive a lifetime warranty on the work they did; that was 7/9/24, today is 7/16/24 and I still haven't received the warranty. Today was my 4th time calling to inquire about the warranty and just like my inquires about the tech's ETA, I haven't gotten any honest reply. They keep pacifying me by saying they will send it or I should have received it already. If I had known this company would be this unprofessional and dismissive, I would have never done business with them. Beware of who you do business with.

What can I say about this business? Well...nothing good. I called for an appointment as I had some…read moreleakage in my basement. The leak was coming from the top ceiling to the floor. Upon inspection I was quoted $5000+ for an entire part of that basement to be waterproofed with sump pump. Work would be lifetime warranted and a guaranteed fix. I was not comfortable with their evaluation. Water was coming from the top to bottom and not from the bottom up as they indicated. There is a cement patio pad against the corner of the house above the basement and in my opinion was all that was needed was to seal this area which pools rain water. They agreed to caulk this area which they did. Next rainfall was worse after they sealed. The basement leaked in a different area. They again said that caulking was not the fix and again a full basement seal with sump pump was needed. I studied pictures taken and saw evidence of 1/2 " diameter holes drilled through the cement patio pad. These holes were made long ago by an extermination termite company to administer chemicals to treat that area of the house. These holes were then filled for aesthetic purposes. Well... over the years these holes previously plugged, disintegrated leaving opening gaps in the concrete pad. This would of course allow rain water to funnel through these holes to the ground below against the house. It only meant sense to me that this could be the culprit of the leaking problem. I had my tenant caulk these openings.IT WAS THE PROBLEM. !!!!! . A noreaster hit and not a drop of water leaked into the basement. Heres a company that repeatedly said that they were experts in their field with decades of experience and FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THE OBVIOUS!!!!. It was my eyes studying pictures from 1000 miles away ( my rental property) to notice the problem. This company was on site could not do the same. Can you believe this? I paid $1000 for a $50 caulk job that could have been another $5000 per this companies recommendation and if they completed their recommended job it still would not have remedied this problem. What a JOKE!!!! I also asked for a receipt for the $1000 job to give to my accountant and am still waiting. A perfect non reply for a questionable company. Stay long away from these " experts". There has to be much better options.
