I had been taking my car around to a few different shops in the area, and wasn't really having any luck, so I was pretty exhausted by trying to explain everything, but right away, they were just like "we'll just do a full inspection of everything!" I wasn't fully confident that they'd catch much (as other shops had not been able to catch anything going on). I took the car in right as they closed on a Wednesday, and by like 10am the next morning, I was sent a link to TekMetric - an app they use to document their entire process, including photos, diagnoses, and individual notes from the tech. The total on the repairs was MUCH higher than I anticipated, and I was a bit freaked out, but when I called them, I spoke with the person who inspected my car, and we went through each item individually over the phone, and discussed what was immediate safety concerns, things I SHOULD do but could get away with, and things that are more preventative measures that will need to be addressed down the line. They were very upfront with me about the timeline, which was a very quick turnaround. I've seriously have never been so impressed with a shop before. Their labor cost per hour was a little bit higher than what I saw from other local shops, but honestly, for this level of service, and how confident I was moving forward with the work, it was worth it.

Great service: they gave me an appointment time, and Derek was standing with me looking at the car within 5 minutes of my arrival. I provided them with the information requested and was sent a text with the estimate. I then asked about the Costco 15% voucher and a time to bring the car in for repair. Their responds was I needed to bring the car in to the shop for a physical inspection to provide an accurate estimate. I brought the car to you on Friday May 14, 2026 asking for the estimate on the trailing arms and inquired about the dash board lights. They asked for 2 hours of time to prepare this. I received the estimate for the repairs along with an inspection report and quotes for 17 other "issues", I did not request an inspection of any kind. When I return to retrieve the car and finalize the repairs I ask a couple of question, first will they honor the Costco voucher and timing to have the repairs completed. Here are my challenges with the transaction, I had temporary access to these estimates and was locked out once I paid the fee of $81.00 ($77.,25 actual debit transition), your website states a free estimate but you charged me and then restricted my access. The garage has a deal with Costco to take 15% off the total bill but when asked I was told you would take 10% on part and 15% on labor. The texted estimate was $1610.00 prior to me asking about the Costco discount and the realtime estimate was $1750 as I recalling only being able to view it prior to lockout. Most concerning was your raid silent when I called to follow up on Saturday as requested by you, I called around 8:30 AM , followed up with a text at around 11 AM and another at 2:15 PM and as on this email there has been no response. The work has been completed by another garage and its is worth pointing out in this review it was completed at a cost of 1/2 what Logan Square Garage was going to charge me. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, it is a money grab.

Damage was severe enough that the car had to be towed. Fortunately, no one was injured. Fast forward roughly four weeks and I reclaimed my car today. It was exactly what I expected: impeccably repaired with a paint job--thanks to master painter and WBS owner Danny Avalos, Jr.--that matched the original finish perfectly. Express is located on Elston Ave right across the street from Mariano's & 1 door east of the DMV. For the most part they have been very responsive to my needs both for body & mechanical work. I have recommended a number of my family & friends as the quality of work is unquestionable. He then told me he would have my vehicle ready at 8:00 AM and ended the phone call. A better mechanic PAID for my car to be towed to his shop at 8 am the next day. As a customer, I don't think it is unreasonable to ask a mechanic what they diagnosed, what caused the problem, what repair is being recommended, and whether they are equipped to perform that repair. I was not trying to argue or disrespect anyone. I was trying to make an informed decision about my own vehicle. My biggest concern throughout this experience has been the lack of clear communication and explanation regarding the diagnosis. I would have appreciated straightforward answers instead of feeling like my questions were being treated as a problem.
