Where do I start? Should I start with the salesperson that only cared about making the sale, of which I didn't find out until after I signed up, or the technician that was in such a rush that he knowingly put up a broken sensor. I got the equipment, called to have a tech come set it up (I asked multiple times would there be a fee and was told no) and was advised there would be a $200 copay. After several transfers, I was given a discount for $49, not the $0 that was expected, but better than $200. So the tech comes, speeds through everything, and leaves. The Hallway sensor was placed so high that the individual would need to be the Jolly Green Giant to set it off. The next day my window sensor was saying offline. When I followed the direction to change the battery (on a new sensor), I found that the battery clip was hanging on by a thread, which would explain why the sensor wasn't recognizing the battery was in. I called Vivint and was told by one of their reps that it would take 3-5 days to get a new sensor or and I quote I could "Try inserting a piece of foil to use as a conductor." At that point I was done. After going through multiple attempts to keep me from canceling, my cancellation request was approved. I was told that once that request was complete they would be in contact to come and pick up the equipment. After a few days of hearing nothing, I called to check the status and see when someone was coming to pick this mess up. The rep then reads the note, "Please set up pull IF customer calls in." So basically had I not called, they would've let this go past the date to be able to return it. I've never had such a terrible experience with a company and wouldn't recommend them to secure a shoebox. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END! read more
