    AAA Chico Branch

    AAA Chico Branch

This review is for AAA as a whole and not just the Chico branch…read more I bought AAA specifically for the purpose of making a trip across the United States with my small 5 x 8 trailer. I bought the most expensive policy - AAA Plus. It costed around $200. While going across country, one of the lights on my dashboard came on. I looked in my car book and it said do not drive the car. I was only about 20 miles from the next small town, but I stopped and called AAA expecting help. When they found out I had a trailer, they said they could not help me. They could tow my car, but they could not tow my trailer. They expected me to leave my trailer with all my belongings in it by the side of the road. Or I could pay them to tow my trailer. They told me that there was no one in that small town 20 miles ahead of me that could tow my trailer. They said I had to wait for someone from a hundred miles away to come to my location and tow my trailer and I had to pay for it. I sat there for 4 hours in the blazing sun while someone from a hundred miles behind where I had just come from drove to my location. When the tow guy got there, I asked him why somebody from the town 20 miles up the road couldn't come and tow me. He said he did not know why they sent him from so far away, because there were at least three tow services from the town 20 miles away that could have towed me. He hooked everything up and we drove 20 miles up the road. I had to pay him a hookup fee and a per mile charge for towing my 5 x 8 trailer 20 miles. This amounted to over $200.00 - after waiting over four hours for him to get there. He unhooked my trailer at a motel there. Then the driver took my car and dropped it off at the mechanic that AAA had told him to drop it at. AAA told me that they notified that mechanic that I was coming and they chose that shop because he had time to see me. The next day, I had to walk (no taxi's in this tiny town) at least a mile to the mechanic and got in my car so I could sit down and wait. The mechanic was late. I got on the phone and called him. He said he was somewhere else in another town and would be there in about a half an hour. When he finally got there, I told him what AAA had said. He said AAA never called him, he had no idea who I was and could not work on my car for at least a week. He was very mean and rude. I asked him if he could just please look at the warning light that I was talking about on the car and tell me what it was. I put the key in the car and the warning light did not come on. He said, "Well, I don't see anything, so there's nothing wrong." I got in the car and drove away. I went back to the motel and tried to hook my trailer up and I could not. I pulled two guys out of the parking lot to see if they could help me hook the trailer up. One of the guys was so strong he lifted the trailer a bit and then it was able to go onto the hitch. The trailer jack that I had bought for the purpose of me being able to hook the trailer on and off myself proved to be worthless unless the trailer and car were on completely flat ground. When I got to my final destination, I went into a AAA office and talked to a manager about this incident. I feel as though I should be reimbursed for AAA having forced me to pay for my own towing. They also sent me to a mechanic who had no idea I was coming and did not have time to work on my car for a week. They refused to reimburse me. They said their towing packages only apply to cars. I told them that when I initially bought my AAA Plus membership, I told the person exactly what I was going to do with it, and she never mentioned that trailers were not covered. AAA told me they would not compensate me for refusing to pay trailer towing fees. What they would happily do for me though is give me a $50 credit off my membership for next year. So their solution to this issue is ME giving them another $150 of my money instead of $200 for their worthless towing package. Really nothing out of their pocket to solve the problem! AAA packages are WORTHLESS. I will stick with the towing policy that comes with my regular car insurance. It is only about $35 and also comes with a free rental car if yours is in the shop.

I manage a couple apartment communities in Anderson and we work closely with Hue & Cry. Kyle comes…read moreand does our inspections, he's nice, professional, and very informative. The only reason I put 4 stars is because no matter how many times we update our call log for our pull cord system they keep calling the same order of people making it difficult for us to do what we need to do on our end. If they could work out those kinks that would be great :)

Definitely a poor company to work for. Upon getting hired i was issued a company vehicle in which i…read morehad to clean out myself prior to the previous owner. It was littered with old food , finger nail clippings and trash. Took me two hours to completely clean. After that new hires after me recieved cleaned and detailed vehicles. One of the upper managements daughter received a brand new truck off the lot. She even sped in the vehicle at a 93.7 mph but recieved no discipline because patrick culmer said her "smile" is too cute. I would double check all inspections because the inspectors will skip certain things.. Especially if they cant find the device. The person who trained me left because they wanted him to train somebody less qualified for a dollar more than what he was getting. Alot of accounts dont get fully checked. Also upper managment would complaim of wasted time and misuse of company vehicles. If you check their facebook page you will see uppermanagent using company vehicles to go hunting. And office ladies were allowed to go to the gym and shop during work hours. I would be careful asking this company for inspections. As they are very misleading and deceptive. First time going to the office in sacramento a lady in the office was getting her nails done. I called brandon boyd for an issue at a job with the customer next to me he told me he has to go becauae he was ordering food and never called me back. Brandon boyd was my manager but would call new hires for questions... How does a manager not know if running the pumps at a facility will set off the alarms or not? And to ask someone who has been at the company less than you.
