So to preface this review, I have been doing my own nails for over 25 years and I went to nail school. I would not go there again. The guy who did my pedicure was nice but an average job at best. He cut my big toe nail at an angle from the corner of my toe. I thought he was just clipping a small part of it to make sure that I would not get an ingrown toenail. He didn't even give a brief massage.No lotion used! Vivian did my nails. I came in with blue polish and I was going to have the same color again. She did not fully remove the polish. I was underneath my nails as well as under the acrylic. So basically,if I don't have any polish on, anyone can see the color. I asked her to remove it and she used a drill but it all did not come off. I also explained that the person who did the initial set did not use the correct size of tips on some of the nails and asked her to add acrylic to the side were it needed. She only put it at the point near my finger but did not put it along the side so the nail would be even on both sides. This was a waste of time and money because I am not fully satisfied. I know that I am picky but I expect certain things. read more

You get what you pay for. The shop is clean and Vivian is nice, but the quality is not there anymore. Vivian does cute designs but for some reason I could never make it for more than a few days without nails breaking! I don't do any hard labor or anything, I work from home. I started coming back here in October after taking a break from acrylics. I had 4 different sets between Columbus Day and Thanksgiving (one month)!! Nails would completely come off or randomly snap in half. Literally driving my car, grabbing a tissue, anything! I wouldn't even feel it. Vivian would fix the nail, no problem but they shouldn't be breaking that much something is wrong. The first set a nail broke in half after 2 days, she fixed it, then another nail came off and I lost a stone :(. My last visit I got my nails done the day before thanksgiving 11/27, cute design and color BUT a nail popped 12/8. And then TWO more came off...I said enough is enough and found somewhere else. I currently have a set from a new nail tech and have not lost a single nail. read more

Came here twice, both times I cam to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, nothing crazy..... first time Angel did my nails and she did a fantastic job. The second time however, some older lady did my nails and left my nails weak, since she used the nail drill on my NATURAL nails. Why? I dont know. I will never be back. For the 50 dollars i spent for times I can by a set of UV gel nail polish and the UV light machine to dry them, and that's exactly what I did. The point of getting a gel manicure is that it is suppose to last longer than a regular manicure, I was there 6 days ago and already the polish is peeling off....oh she shaped some nails weird and both hands don't even match. I should've checked here for reviews first... As soon as I came in, I greeted myself and she greeted me back telling me that she was watching a video about a girl who sadly died... Umm... okay, that was an awkward way to start, but good day to you too. There were no bowl covers lol I had to "raw dog" the tub, and I doubt it was washed beforehand because the seat was dirty with crumbs, and the armrest was oily from the previous customer. The hot towel massage was pathetic. She took some small hot rags and wiped my legs. And then slapped and pounded my legs briefly with her fists. There was no hot stone massage or true spa treatment. Top-tier mani/pedis take at least an hour, she had me done in 30 minutes. My nails were not buffed shiny or painted clear. I remember she was trying to get me to pay her to wax my eyebrows. I hate that this shop is unpleasing because it is conveniently close to home. Oof, I wouldn't recommend their services if they were free. I don't mind paying $120 for great service, I feel ripped off paying $80. I should've driven to Joie in Murrieta. read more

I'm new to the area so I was a little nervous about trying a new place, I've been going to the same guy in Raritan NJ for over 10 years and I feel a little guilty for cheating on him, but I decided I didn't want to drive over an hour just for my nails...I digress. Vivian's is a clean, friendly place. When you walk in things are clean and organized. The staff is all licensed as evident by the hanging, framed licenses, permits, etc. They have a wide variety of services-waxing, massage, nails. Came here today because I was looking for a new nail place since my typical place is an hour away. What a major disappointment. I had leesing I think was her name? She rushed the entire time, told me to go with gel instead because it dries faster (despite me saying I wanted regular polish because I like to change the color on a weekly basis), and was trying to finish me up to play on her phone. This is beyond sloppy. Their gel is very poor quality because I asked for three coats and this white color still didn't show! She tried to rush and put a top coat on after two coats (streaky terrible coats) and I stopped her and asked for another coat. What kind of nail tech even allows their client to leave the chair with bad nails? She clearly didn't care about my service. This is extremely poor customer service. I wanted to speak with the owner and she was not present. Take a look at how sloppy this was. My hands weren't even cleaned. I went home and scrubbed them like crazy because there was leftover acrylic all over them! I wish I could get a refund. I will never be returning and I recommend you to go elsewhere. She didn't even clean my cuticles or cut them- painted right over them. My nails were meant for an event and now I have to figure out a way to correct them myself. I hope the owner can rectify this and get better workers Update: called the next morning and Vivian herself offered to fix my nails. She redid the polish and my nails now look great. So I was looking for a nearby nail salon to do something very simple to my nails (very short ACRYLIC set with gel color), as I wasn't able to go to my go to nail salon. I got here once the place opened at 9:30 and there was already a woman there before me and it was only one worker who opened the store. The other nail techs were not there and did not arrive until 10:20, having me wait for 50 minutes. The nail tech Lina did my nails and I must say, I am HIGHLY disappointed with my nails and had to pay for bad quality. The first issue I had with her, was that she kept answering her phone and texting while doing my nails. Talk about very unprofessional. I felt like she wasn't paying attention to me. Next thing, she started doing my nails with crystal powder when I specifically asked for acrylic, but she continued on using the crystal powder, which actually made my nails $5 more than what I was supposed to pay. Third issue was the actual paint job. She did a very sloppy job as some of the nail polish is on my cuticles, and there are a bunch of particles stuck in the nail polish on my nails. Then to top everything, one of my nails ALREADY BROKE OFF. How the hell did that happen if I JUST got them done. Mind you, my nails are extremely short so it would of been hard for them to break but nope. The whole entire nail came off. I am highly disappointed with this establishment and I would really like a refund. I'm going to call them in the morning to discuss my problem and see what type of customer service they are going to offer me. I will update this review once I speak with them. read more

As I sit here drying my toes, I have to say I'm disappointed. This is a very nice salon, clean, very nice people. My pink and white manicure is sloppy, paint on my skin and paint from previous manicure on the sides. Pedicure is much better; nice job on clean up, but a few spots if polish on my skin. I really wanted to love this place as it's right down the street from my house and open Sundays. 5 stars for attitude, 1 star on exec. 9/2 update - Vivian graciously responded to my Feedback and redid my nails today. Much better attention to detail she did a very nice job. I opted for color instead of fixing the pink and white. My go to nail salon BELLAS CHICAS in Bloomfield was booked up due to me calling super last minute. I decided to try this new place out, but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience! The lady that helped me gave horrible service, for starters she didn't clean up around my cuticle area. And when she started painting my nails it was a complete mess getting nail polish all around my fingers. I told her if she was going to clean around the nails and she said yes. But she proceeded to grab a nail clipper and pull/clip my skin off that was covered in nail polish!! And she still left nail polish everywhere around some of my fingers. I was in such a rush bc she took forever that I didn't have time to correct her at all, but I am going back tomorrow and hope they can fix my nails that honestly look i did them myself. I've been coming to this nail salon for a year now. I'm giving them a three because although Vivian and Lynn do GREAT nails, there are two other nail techs who could really work on their technique as well as their manners. I've had to correct the technician numerous times on how to do my nails and not make them sloppy. She responds by being rude or not listening at all. There was a time when she was being very rough on my nails and burned my fingers a few times in the same sitting. When I asked her to stop being so rough she gave me attitude so I had to switch to another tech. Yesterday I got my nails done by this same woman bc they were busy and she did a sloppy job again. The tech forgot to apply step three of the SNS nail set to my nails so I finally mentioned this to Vivian and she said she would stay after (because they close at 8 pm) to fix my nails. I really didn't have the time to stay but I had to as I'm traveling for my anniversary and needed my nails corrected. This was a huge inconvenience. If Vivian could show that she understands the customer's frustration or that she will make corrections to hear her customers and give them a better experience, then I'd be happier but she would rather defend her co worker's wrong doings instead of taking the time to better her customer service. read more

Last minute gel pedicure on a Sunday and they took me right away. The use the plastic lining in the tub which I LOVE and they open new tools for a pedicure on each client. I have had my fair share of painful and terrible pedicures in other places. This was my first time here so I was a bit nervous. But Vivian did an awesome job and did not hurt me one bit.
