The woman Nancy that did my pedicure was nice. She did a good job on my toe nails and helped me find the color I wanted. I wish I could have had a better job on my callouses though. I can't seem to find one that uses the graters for that. They used the disposable foot bath cover and clean the tubs well. Good place for a pedicure. read more

Vivis is the best nail salon I've ever been to and that's saying something. While there are at least 10 closer, I'll drive the 15 minutes without hesitation because their all round service is amazing. I am not careful with my hands and feet, as I have several dogs, work in the yard and am just generally active. You would never guess it, as they keep me looking great and nails healthy. Attention to detail is their everyday operation up to and including allergies/reactions to products. As long as they are around I will not go anywhere else. read more

I came in for the 1st time Saturday and was very underwhelmed by the service. My tech put 3 clumpy coats of gel on my nerves. Prior to that, I asked for a full set and was told my nails were fine and they were trying to save me money. I appreciate that but that's not what I wanted. This is my 4th Nail Salon since moving to Carrollwood- not the fanciest, but Ann (the baby) does an outstanding job with my dip! Every place I've been to previously I've had a problem with my nails chipping and the polish coming off quickly. Vivi's is the first salon that my dip will last up to 3 weeks without a chip! As a walk in I was serviced fast, they were quick and diligent, towards the end came a lot of people so they rushed me and my mom and it came out sort of sloppy. I understand they had appointments and we were walk in but I felt uncomfortable. Nails are decent looking. Not bad I would recommend if you are in a rush. The outcome was a lumpy sloppy mess. Never touched my cuticles, she actually put the acrylic over half my cuticles and left it like that. The tips were bumpy. Vivian did a wonderful job on my pink and white gel nails - she did exactly what I wanted. Perfectly shaped, and not too thick - very natural looking. A few days later, after spending a few hours mixing cement with my hands (I wore gloves, but my hands were wet for hours!) my nails still look good. I came to this place to get a mani and a pedi. I have nothing but great things to say about the pedi. The foot massage was amazing and my toes looked beautiful. However, my manicure came out terrible. I had to go back and ask the guy who did my mani to repaint my nails. He did not apply the polish evenly. Once I went out into the sun and saw them it looked like I had 2 different tones on my nails. I went back inside and his excuse was that the polish was old, despite the fact that I had the same color on my toes. I told him that I was going to check my toe nails to see if the lady who did my toes had the same problem. I was shocked when he told me "No don't look at your toe nails." I obviously did and pointed out to him that the color looked fine on my toes and that the problem couldn't be the nail polish but had to be the application. read more

I will never go back to vivi nails. I was charged 25.00 for a regular pedicure. It is 20.00 but when you go to pay they charge you 25.00. Was not going to tip the tech after that but felt bad for her so I gave her 5.00. All together spend 30.00 for a pedicure which is way more expensive then other salons which usually charge 18.00 for a regular pedicure. Beware people when you go in there that they are just out to RIP PEOPLE OFF and the owner and techs all have nasty attitudes and do not make you feel welcome when you enter the salon. I've been a regular customer at this salon for two months so. One woman in particular is messy at giving pedis. She goes a mile a minute, gets my clean jeans wet from my feet funk, doesn't give a proper cleaning of my toe nails. Not impressed. I was pretty annoyed at my first visit to discover an extra $5 charge to have my cuticles cut when I'm specifically there for a mani. I bite my tongue cause the girl does a good job and it's close to home. My last and final visit was an argument with the owner who charged an extra $5 more than what I've been paying for the last 2+ months. Apparently she told the girl to prep me for a deluxe pedi. I told her I always get the basic - she says I don't. I think I know what I pay $$$ for at the salon that I visit bi-weekly. I can exfoliate my feet and legs at home. More back and forth - yes you do, no I don't. She tells me she won't charge the extra $5. Complete silence. Then before I leave she makes a point to get the last word and say, "but you do get the deluxe". Why the hell is this woman arguing with me?? She hasn't learned that "customers are always right". Oh my god, go to Vivian. She is very nice and good at what she does. They are the only salon in the area that i know of that does real gel nails. Most salons deceive you and say they offer gel, but in reality it's nothing close. Next time I will have her do the gel thinner. read more

I have two major complaints for Vivi's nails. First, there was ALWAYS a wait even when I had an appointment and they were not once apologetic or accommodating for this inconvenience. A family member and I went together last time and I had to wait for her pedicure to be done before mine was started. Even worse though, at my last couple visits, I realized that I was having some white spots and discoloration appear on my toenails. I questioned the lady doing my pedicure and even asked Vivi about it and she said that it's because I waited too long between appointments and because I was using cheap polish. Mind you, this is the polish they provide in their store. She advised me that I needed to come either every week or every two weeks until it got better. It has now been about two weeks since my last visit, and I've already had two toenails completely snap off from the base. This is obviously super uncomfortable and is something that has NEVER happened before in the many many years that I've been getting pedicures religiously. For such a poor quality service, you'd think that their prices would be cheaper but they're not cheap at all in comparison to much higher quality salons. read more

Whomever wrote the other two reviews must be friends of their's or something. I went to this place one time and will never go back. I went in for a manicure. The guy who did my manicure didn't say one word to me the entire time. Not even a hello. Instead he had his headphones in listening to music. I found this really rude. On top of that he clipped my cuticles and made a couple bleed. He didn't even acknowledge it or apologize for it. The utensils he used were not properly sanitized either. He simply sprayed them with alcohol and wiped it off. I had gel put over my nails and on my thumb nail, he didn't even paint the whole nail (gap of no paint on one side) and on multiple nails there is gel stuck all over the side of my nail on my skin. I would have gotten a pedicure as well but after that terrible experience, no way. I'll never go back. read more
