My experience here was not a good one, while I was receiving my first ever gel manicure the lady was not paying attention while doing my cuticles (even though I am a person who bites their nails) she was talking to the nail technician next to her and made my thumb and middle finger bleed. Everything after that was okay she put on the blue sanitizing oil & did my nails. They came out good just wish I didn't have to go through all that pain for a gel manicure. Fastest mani and pedi I've ever had. Had a 430 appointment. Had to wait about 5-10 to be seated, sat drying my nails for 5 or so minutes, and I was out before 530. She did a terrible job on my cuticles. Do they not let your nails soak in hot water before pushing back anymore, my water was ice cold and she only dunked my nails. It was painful because the cuticles were still hard. I had to cut away all of the hangnails (she created) once I got home. The polish is uneven and does not cover the entire nail, Im going to put an extra coat of clear on at home to even out the top coat because they look lumpy. Almost as if the polish was dried up. My mom treated me for my engagement party and we were both unhappy with the end results. She asked her woman to fix her cuticles and was completely ignored. If I had the time I would have them fixed or even redo it myself. It's clear they prioritize walk ins over their scheduled appointments to keep the door revolving. It was my first manicure, pedicure and Brazilian wax at Vivi Nails. My manicure and pedicure was done poorly. They did a horrible job by not painting my nails on the corners. Also, I notice that they did not use a sterile utensils! I don't have words to describe the Brazilian wax experience....she almost tears my skin during waxing. I was scrutinized for not having an appointment for SNS nails when I was the first person there when they opened at 9:30AM. Found this amazing "state of the art " nail salon. I was warmly welcomed and accommodated upon arrival. I was given a cold water Poland spring water as I sat down. Trendy atmosphere with changing LED lights, privacy curtains to the ceiling so you can bring your girlfriends and have a private spa day experience. I was amazed with the cleanliness and pride in their "new age" sanitized techniques. A new pumice gadget that has one time use of a pumice stone so each person gets amazing sanitary treatment. After ur foot scrub it is removed and disposed of, amazing!!! A relaxing foot massage and complimentary Paraffin treatment on your heels. My technician went above and beyond any other nail salon in the area as far as quality and service. Beautiful flooring, nail stations, great color on the wall and the ceilings and chandeliers are to die for. A must try!!! My favorite on the east end! This place is the best. It blows all the othe nail places in Riverhead out of the water!!! It is clean, sterile, modern and the people are nice. Great selection of polish colors, they gel polish and regular polish. The pedicure chairs have privacy from the people getting their nails done. It has a spa feel to it not your traditional "Riverhead" nail place. I wish them well and hope their business expands the are a diamond in the rough. read more

The facility is always bright and clean, tools for manicures and pedicures are always opened from a sterile package right in front of the customer! I stayed in the Holiday Inn next door, was going to a wedding, needed helped with broken gel nails. I went to this place as a walk in (1st mistake) ordered a manicure, they by passed me so many times put other ladies that came in after me in front who had no appointment. I picked out my color, by the time they got to me, the guy mixed an extender to the OPI pink color I chose. At that point, I watched it go on so transparent and uneven due to the additive. I paid for a manicure I didn't get because they wasted so much time on non sense explanation of having to wait for a gel tech. When I was taking gel off. It's not rocket science aluminum foil, acetone, cotton, soak. He would not smooth the nail out and make smooth for the polish either!!Nevertheless, I kept saying the polish was too thin, the polish would not dry, sticky, and mushed all day. First I want to say I love the way Lucy does my nails... and that is the one and ONLY positive thing I can say about Vivi. This place is managed HORRIBLY! I kept going back because of Lucy... but today was the last straw! I called to see if I could get in with Lucy today after work, I explained I had SNS and would come before for a pedicure so that I could soak my SNS off. The woman on the phone asked if I could be there by 5, I explained I was coming from work and would to my best but it would be between 5-5:15. She said ok, please don't be after 5:15. I arrived at 5:05 every pedicure chair was full.... I chose my color and was told it would be a few mins. Which is not an issue, but I was a little annoyed they made me rush to wait. I waited a few mins and asked if I had time to go next door to grab a drink.. I did... come back 5 mins later... pedicure chairs are still packed, waiting area is also packed. I sit at a drier and asked if someone could get my started soaking..."ok,ok" nothing ....several minutes later they sit me down in Lucy's chair and tell me I'm getting my manicure first..... except I still needed to soak, I didn't want them drilling my nails. So Lucy wrapped my nails to soak off and they put me in a pedicure chair. I sat in the pedicure chair with one of the arms stuck up and no water in the tub for THIRTY-FIVE minutes with my nails soaking..... When the woman finally came over to start my pedicure, I asked her to check my nails because it had been so long. She opens one ... didn't even look good said "no" and closed it. She then began rushing through my pedicure... seemed like she was new.. she kept forgetting steps, my feet didn't even go into the water at all until right before she painted them. She rinsed my legs of the mask and scrub for maybe 15 seconds. Then shows me the clock and said "5 min massage" I said "isn't it supposed to be 10?" I was obviously being rushed because it was the end of the day ... Meanwhile, I had just sat there patient for almost an hour. This woman painted all over my toes .. then messed up the pedicure and touched it up several times. I looked like my 8 year old niece did it. I finally get out of the pedicure chair at 6:30. So let's back track... Arrive 5:05 Pick a color Wait Get a drink Return Wait Get nails soaking at 5:25 Sit in the pedicure chair until 6:00 And I'm done at 6:30... spa pedicure with a 10min massage only took 30 mins? Ok.... Oh I forgot to mention I pulled the foil off my hands since my fingers were pruned from the acetone. I go sit for my SNS at 6:30... wait in the chair another 15 minutes. At 6:45 they send someone over besides Lucy... they tell me she'll finish..... That's the moment all my patients ran out. I had been here for an hour and 40 mins so that Lucy could do my nails. I got up and asked to pay for my pedicure so I could leave .... all of a sudden I'm a huge priority. I said no thanks I'm DONE, can I pay for my pedicure so I can leave... Magically Lucy is now available to do my nails. NO THANK YOU! Please let me pay for my pedicure so I can leave. Here comes my favorite part! .... Ready?! I got SNS. When I asked for my nails to be cut short, the technician was surprised, as though my preference for short nails was wrong. While filing and shaping my nails, the technician brazenly shaved some my skin off. She then chastised me for liking my nails shorter, almost insinuating that the scrape was my fault since I had asked for my nails to be cut short. After a total of one scrape and two cuts, I ended up getting infections in those three areas. It seems they don't sterilize their equipment properly. During my visit (I also got a pedicure and a 10 minute massage) there were several frustrated customers, one who even refused to pay because she was so upset with the service. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Went in to get a simple pink and white fill and and a pedicure. The nail tech "Kenny" asked if I wanted my nails square, which is the same shape I had them. I agreed as this is the only shape I've gotten my nails done in the last 10 years. So when he was about finished filing I looked down and my nails were a narrow rectangle shape. Completely different than what I came in with. I explained to him that was not the shape I wanted. I expected him to just fix them but he started to get argumentative and abrasive about it. He kept insisting they were square. They definitely were not. I told him just to finish it the way they were because I did not want to sit there and listen to his imminent nasty attitude. But he continued to mumble and say things in Chinese to his coworkers. They all came over and were gawking over my shoulder like I was a science experiment just to see what I was complaining about. It was really unnecessary and uncomfortable. He started to correct my nails when the owner walked in and took over. She was never apologetic, in fact she made excuses for his inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by saying he may have been having a bad day. Seriously? Then she tells me she's had issues with him before. Ok. So if that's the case, why not even an apology for his rudeness? The worst part was when she finally finished correcting his mistake, she told me to wash my hands. I went to the sink and looked at the job she did. Not only did they not tell me they didn't have the same color pink, she continued to put a darker coat over the lighter one. Now my nails are 2 toned. (See the pics.) Even the tech who had done my pedi looked at them and mentioned they were 2 colors. At this point I had been sitting there for 3 hours. This was a Sunday evening so they had already closed at 6:30pm. I had a friend with me and we needed to go as we had to work very early in the morning. I go to pay and she says my bill comes to $95.00!!!! I almost fell on the floor!! So first, her employee was rude, disrespectful, indignant, and unprofessional. He didn't do the job correctly. She then TRIED to fix it but doesn't succeed, and now wants to charge me $40.00 for a fill that I have to go somewhere else to pay to fix because she is too incompetent to admit her employee Kenny and her are WRONG!!! I have never in my life had to deal with such disrespect at a nail shop before. This woman sat there and argued with me about charging me the $40. I asked her if she really thought that this was worth the $40 as I held up my 2 toned pink and white fill in front of her face. All she said was she was going to take $5 off. Unbelievable! After I said that was unacceptable and she shouldn't be charging me a penny for the fill, she started getting louder and louder with me. I couldn't even get a word in and I just told her I'll never be back and I'll be leaving a very negative review everywhere about their service. She was literally still screaming at me as I walked out the door! A complete lunatic that owner is! If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this shop. There are so many nail shops in competition, I cannot even understand why they would go this route. I have been there a couple times to get pedicures. I love Vivi Nails! I have been coming to Vivi Nails since moving back to Long Island 2 years ago and have never had a bad experience. Every other week I have SNS done and my two daughters (3yrs and 7yrs) get kids manicures, and the staff has always been super helpful and accommodating! I have also had pedicures done and they're always done a great job. One time I was warned that the SNS color I chose was weaker than the others, but they told me if I had any issues to come back and they would fix it; which I thought was very kind! This place used to be my go-to spot when they first opened. Now having gained business, the quality of the work is terrible. I went yesterday and got a UV gel fill-in and gel polish, along with a pedicure. When I arrived I had asked to see the colors, owner Vivi, gave me one book. When I asked if there were more colors, she gave me the other two with such an attitude. She is no longer a friendly business owner after making a name for herself. After trying to make my colors match (since the color selection isn't great anymore), I get my pedicure. Now once it's time to paint my nails I'm told to pick a different color, I don't. Once my nails were done and after being there almost 2 hours, they looked horrid. I approached Kenny and said that this is not okay, he then told me "its gel polish, it's different". Beware of hidden fees!!!! They charge $10 to remove gel nail polish, even if you already have gel on your nails. They rushed through my manicure and did not apply the sns properly (no bottom coat). Very disappointed in my experience. There was also a shirtless man who they allowed in the establishment and he was definitely high on some kind of drug. The worst experience Iv ever had at a nail salon! I went for a gel fill in on acrylic nails. First, they were extremely rude the entire time to me for no reason. They change extra for EVERY little thing, you want your nails cut? Extra $5, you want your cuticles fixed up? Extra $5! Which that should all be included in the service. Second, I asked for them to be cut just a little and before you know it half my nails are gone, as well as the coffin shape i asked for. Oh! and they cut me 3 times in the process causing me to bleed. Next, they don't allow you to see their colors until the moment they are ready to paint your nails, I asked multiple times as they were working on my fill in to see them since it takes me a while to pick my color. When they were finally done with the fill in and ready to paint my nails they only had one palette of colors and she stood over me as I was trying to pick one out in the 60seconds she allowed me to choose! I've gone to many places for my nails and found this place did the best but recently I got my nails done and forgot to make an appointment. The girl Sandy who helped me rushed and wasn't paying attention. I wanted her to redo two nails and she only fixed one bc she shaved the SNS too thin. I left with three nails bleeding because of her carelessness to my cuticles and 4 days later three of my nails chipped along with all the others starting to lift. For one, they didn't tell me that they charged an extra $5 to cut down your nails (should be part of the service) until after they did it. I got an acrylic fill with gel overlay. The gel was rippled and started peeling the same day. The technician was quite rough, cutting my fingers a few times and filing the sides of my nails until they were raw. The worst experience I have ever had. They cut my foot so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding please stay away from its place.I Do not want to see this happen to anybody else. I tried to give O stars but it wouldn't let me. And then they tried to charged me for my manicure. I have included pictures here please look at them. And then one of the other workers there came over to try to stop the bleeding and kept giggling like it was some kind of a joke. He put one little Band-Aid on it and left half of the cut sticking out. I wouldn't even have been able to put my shoe on.
