Disappointing Experience After 4 Years of Loyalty…read more I've been going to Nails by Vivian for over four years. My mom and I were both regulars, and we always had a good experience with Vivian herself. Unfortunately, my most recent experiences changed that completely. In May, I got Gel X nails for my graduation. I showed a photo of exactly what I wanted, but the result was way off. I left disappointed but didn't say anything at the time out of respect for the long-standing relationship. After showing the nails to several friends who confirmed it was a bad job, I called to share my feedback. I had paid \$75 and ended up spending another \$60 to have them redone elsewhere. Vivian was understanding and told me she would "take care of" my next visit. That visit was today--and it ended my relationship with this salon. Vivian was out of town, and her husband took over my appointment. Although he told me the salon was fully booked, it was nearly empty when I arrived early. He took me right away, but from the moment I sat down, I felt rushed. He kept pressing me to choose a color--something they've always known I take my time with. After trying one color and not liking it, I went to choose another, and he snapped, "You still haven't picked a color?" Then added he had other customers coming--as if I wasn't one. Keep in mind, I was there to fix a \$75 set that I had already paid for and was unhappy with. When I asked for chrome powder, he got visibly annoyed and said, "What does she want now?" The tech explained, and he told me it would cost extra. I gave up and just asked her to finish with regular polish. When I asked if we were all set, he told the tech I was paid for. I walked to my car to grab cash to tip the tech, and as I was leaving, he called out, "What, no tip?" I told him I was getting cash, but the comment was incredibly rude and uncalled for--especially for a correction visit. I tipped the tech and left, knowing I'd never return. After four years of loyalty, I expected to be treated with basic respect. This experience was frustrating, uncomfortable, and completely disappointing. I can no longer recommend this salon.

She also explained what she was doing, and why, while fixing them. She was Very friendly, and personable, which is important when someone is in your face for an hour and a half. I come here for my pedicures and foot massages. What a lot of people don't know is that for nail salons you don't have to be certified to give massages. The people who work here however who do the massages are all certified and they are amazing! The amount of colors they have is huge too. They have matte, chrome, and other cool designs.

I was not informed of this charge, nor another $10 upcharge for gel, until I went to pay. And then they demanded that I tip in cash. This greedy, sneaky place can take their greedy upcharges and shove them. I don't like square nails. Too bad that they're lazy and want to charge more for round. Absolute disgrace. Again, no complaints about the actual services. Nails and toes looked great. Salon was crowded, didn't get an impression of cleanliness, pedicure chairs are old and mine didn't work. That was an added annoyance. Then it turned out that it was unplugged. Smh. Will not return unless they're the last place that I can get a pedicure. Definitely will never get my nails done here, because of the ridiculous upcharge.
