This was my 1st visit at family nails to get a gel manicure done .they were done just yesterday on August 17th and now today my left hand ,the gel nail polish is already chipped .This should not happen at all especially I didn't do anything for them to chip ! Well after about a year and a half of coming here every 2 weeks I am finished looking for a new place. We came in after Christmas with gifts for our technicians they had an issue with the plumbing backing up into the pedi / foot spa machine, instead of telling us faithful customers 2 times a month to come back another time for the pedi they still thought about their pockets first. As I'm sitting there getting my feet done I thought I saw sandy brown salt grain or dirt in the spa thing ok I didn't think of anything. Until boom the 4 pedi spas to my left starting filling up with poop I'm serious when I say this. It was disgusting. Then I see a plumber come in look at it out some liquid behind the seat next to me I guess the main pipe. They just continue to work our feet. Never again. read more

Tina always does a great job with my nails. I was in the middle of a nail-saster because although I only get my nails done like twice a year, I decided to cheat with another shop. Bad move. Tim fixed my nails. He had them just like the photo I showed him. Although he lied to me about the shop closing at 7:30 when I called (it closed at 8) he prob just said that because it's the last time they take walk-ins and who wants to work till midnight? I came in and my nails were a thick, hot mess. He handled them while telling me what went wrong...I knew lol. Gaps between the nails on the underside. Lifting of the cuticles. He kindly reassured me that everyone at Family Nails knew what they were doing and were good at it. He never made me insecure about getting such a shitty set of nails. He was delicate about removing the powder and rhinestones. I wash my hands a lot and my nails are thin under so this was important. He did my nails just like the photo I showed him (with the color I chose) he kept them thin enough to work with and thick enough to not break. And he explained this. I was afraid of more gaps so I wanted to cut my real nails and he explained that powder will look really nice on natural nails so he kept them. No gaps. Tim never left me once he started working on me. He didn't get up to do brows or paint nails or lay acrylic like I've had done to me before. He got me in and out but still managed to give me pretty, near perfect nails. Thanks! read more

Fast and great work. All of the techs are very skilled and really sweet. I go biweekly for a dip powder manicure. The price is excellent and my nails could easily last four weeks if I let them. Kim is awesome but unfortunately the owners has no consideration for their customer's time. They'll give you an appointment but will choose to take on client overlapping your appointment. Then has the audacity to expect us to wait or just go with someone else. I travel 30 minutes just for Kim and I'm on time. No sense of customer service. Well... let me start by saying I have been going here for many years now and always had a wonderful experience. but, the onetime I have a problem and they are only concerned about themselves and their money. They don't care about the customer and their hard earned money, it's all about them. I was thrown off and will never go back there again. I went to family nails in January to get a mani, pedi, eyebrows done. I always drop 100 each time I go there easily. Well this particular time I said I would like the Callous remover please, I had dry feet but not to bad. The young lady that did my feet was really trying to do a good job she did not mean to cut me but she did and very bad. I was going on vacation and I couldn't put my shoes on or even walk for over a month. I am diabetic so it's dangerous for us bc infection sets in before it can heal on our feet. On my vacation I could not go with my family to the excursions we paid for. I called Tina while on vacation and told her that she he cuts were bad and she said I am sorry when you come back I will take care of you. So the day I got back from I went to family nails and showed them the cuts. This was a week later so Tina told me she would take care of me next time I came in and I said ok. Meanwhile, I had to go to the doctors to get checked and get medicine for my feet for the cuts. So finally at the end of march I call Tina and ask if I could come in for mani pedi and eyebrows. She said to come down, so this is where I get upset, they gave me the same girl, that's bc they said she's the one who did it so she will be the one not to get paid. Did not ask me if that was ok with me because some people have severe anxiety about stuff like that. So I paid attention and she was very careful this time. I tipped this girl Both times by the way I am not that way bc she was doing a service for me and tried to do a good job. So, when it came time to pay Tina did charge me for nails and eyebrows. I was shocked and hurt. The pain n money I lost meant nothing to her for what one of her employees did, she actually said the girls work hard for the money, that's where I had to say enough bc she only worried about themselves not what I went through. They are lucky I didn't get badly infected and loose a foot or something. Tina should have said they were picking the bill up for the day. But no, she said you know the girls work for their money. Uh excuse me Last I checked my money is important to me too and I earned it as well. Anyway, when something serious happens they turn their heads away otherwise yes they do a great job. I will miss going their but I can't go somewhere where you honestly are not valued as a person who earns their hard earned money to have a luxury of gets my nails done every week. I won't waste my money there again! Already told my family to please don't get me gift card their anymore. read more

Two words: really dirty. It's bad when you're googling "how to prevent infection after going to a dirty nail salon" while in the salon chair. My nail tech was nice but she herself was not clean. The tools weren't sanitized. The place isn't clean. I can't wait to go shower. read more

I stopped after work and they took me right away which was great. My nails came out nice. The place is filthy and I find it very rude when working on a client, you answer your personal call and have a conversation while doing nails. Not only did she not egage in any conversation with me, she didn't even introduce herself. She did know how to speak because all the employees there were laughing it up in another language. Love this place. I've been coming for a decade now and they always do me justice. Use to use Stephanie all the time but she left Lyn is the bomb at keeping your nails right and so is Tina and Tim and pretty much the rest of the crew.
