I've thought about trying Hampton nails, and didn't do so because of the iffy reviews. But being frustrated with another salon and needing one closer to home I went for it. And I'm so happy I did. They took me in quick and gave me the most precise job I've ever gotten. I got SNS, which they had a decent amount of colors to choose from. Obviously I only have been here once. It did take a while, (mostly to get off the horrendous old set I had on from a different salon). But even so it was not a "quick" job. Which I'd prefer perfect nails over a rushed job. I've been going to this family since for 20+ years now, started with Jackie and Mimi at Lucky nails then Long and his wife Lyn opened and they are professional and brutally honest. Long is the only one who does my nails and Lyn my moms. They are on point with acrylics and usually will be honest with you about colors or designs so remember if your going to ask be prepared to hear it's no good for your nails if that's their opinion they actually give their opinion if they won't look good so you don't complain and waste their time or your own time. They take an average amount of time 45-130 from fills to a full set but they pay attention and will do what you ask. Thin and narrow they say may break but they all will eventually. So I went there a few days ago and got my nails done. I have a very mixed opinion. The man who did my nails was good. He didn't talk to me so it was slightly awkward and too quiet for my liking. He was very thorough while applying the acrylic. When I asked about an idea I had, he said no because it would look too weird and I didn't appreciate that. And he didn't ask me what shape I wanted my nails, he just assumed I wanted them square. Overall, the nails are of very high quality, but their customer service could have been better. This place is just awful. The few times I have went I have been treated poorly and the nail technicians rush the job. One time I came out and none of my nails were the same length and some were just straight up destroyed. Uncleanly as well. They handle money with the gloves they use to do ur nails. Not impressed. It took FORever! They should have told me they couldn't do a mani and pedi at the same time. The lady never talked to me and looked almost annoyed. I was there an hour longer than I wanted. Everything was just slow and not really impressed with the quality or the prices either. $50 pedicure and gel mani and they try to upsell u on the pedicure. Overall maybe a little better communication would have improved the situation but I told them I wanted to be finished at the same time as my friend and that should have been obvious but my friend had to wait for me for almost an hour. When a few employees laughed at me I knew I'd never return. I have always gone to preferably Dynamite Nail or Nails and Relaxation. Both located in Farmingville, 24 miles from here and with similar policies. We sold our house in October of 2018 and Hampton Nails was recommended to me by a coworker. On my one and only visit I was hardly even spoken to, but that was not my concern. My problem was with their lack off service! There was no shoulder massage, no hot towel to my hands, no hand cream and no hand or finger massaging. When I sat at my seat waiting for these services I was told you are done you can go pay. Several employees and customers giggled at this "mistake" I had made, I will not make that mistake again nor pay more for less!! read more

I went in with no appointment for a pedicure and fill-in and they took me almost immediately which was good. My acrylics were even and the shape was perfect- however, one nail had fallen off prior to my visit and the one he did for me was crooked. Like, very crooked. There was also no massage which was very strange. As for my pedicure, a different woman did it. It looked and felt awful. She stabbed me with one of the tools and I don't even have a nice-looking pedicure to make up for it. The only good part was the (very short) massage. I know my review sounds so bad but I just couldn't give a bad rating. The shape of my acrylics was just so good. Horrible! DO NOT GO HERE!! I thought I would give this place a try due to some great reviews, close to my house, and it looks like they can do some serious nail art. Let me tell you about my experience: When walking in, I asked for a shellac mani and regular pedicure. They told me to pick out my color. When going to the nail polish wall, I didn't see any gel colors. I asked if they had Shellac or OPI gel colors and she said yes but she had to bring me the samples. She guided me to sit down in the pedicure chair and then she came over with the colors. While my feet were soaking, I looked at the options and picked a dark purple for the fall. I asked her which ones were Shellac and which ones were OPI but she couldn't tell me. Since I like both brands, I chose the color I liked best. While getting my pedicure, I noticed that there were many flies flying around the place. The door was open, so I didn't think much of it. Then I started to notice many small fruit flies flying around the fan and in the corners. This is when I started to get grossed out. At this point, I just wanted to walk out - but I already had my feet soaking and she and my fingers wrapped in foil to take off the gel polish. I was stuck! The towels that she used to do my pedicure smelled musty like they were sitting in the washer damp for too long. YUCK. She showed me my pedicure options and none of them were regular pedicures - all upgrades. I chose the $30 anti-stress pedicure and was hoping for the best. When putting on my callus remover, she wrapped one foot in plastic wrap and then used the same plastic wrap for my other foot. How cheap! She also threw all of her tools into my water bath the whole time I was getting my pedicure, so they were brushing up against my feet, which was very annoying. There was no 15 minute leg massage like advertised and she did not use the anti-stress lavender lotion that was in the description. :( She did a good job at scrubbing my feet but man ... was she rough! When she started to apply my nail polish on my toes, it was coming out clumpy so she went to her station and poured some acetone in it. I hate when they do this because the polish chips too easily. UGH. When she was done painting my nails she asked me to get up and go to her station. When I was doing that, she dropped the musty towel on top of my freshly painted toes! She redid them, but what a mess! When going over to the manicure station, it was loaded with flies too! One of the guys was walking around with an electronic insect zapper and zapping all of them. It was gross! They were "dropping like flies" :( Then she came over with my polish and it was NOT shellac or OPI but the Galaxy brand that I hate! I told her I did not want that and she said that's all she has and started painting my nails with it. I stopped her and said , "No, this is why I asked you what kind of gel you had and you told me Shellac and OPI. The Galaxy polish always peels on me". Then the other gal in the salon who speaks English suddenly found the Shellac and OPI options but they did not have the color that I originally picked. There was only about 5 to choose from. So I chose a burgundy color for the fall that now does not match my toes. What a joke! Then she started to put the base coat on with the Galaxy gel. Again I told her this is not what I want and she said, Oh well .. this is all I have. I pulled my hands away and the other English speaking gal suddenly found shellac base and top coat. The gel polish came out so bad!!! It looked like I needed a fill already because she didn't start at the cuticle, the edges of the nails only look like they have one coat instead of two, it was sloppy, thick and a hot mess. I paid my $60 and was OUT OF THERE! I couldn't wait to leave. This was by no means an anti-stress or relaxing time. $60 out the window. I'll stick to Epic Salon because they are the best. This place is dirty, rude, and do not tell the truth. Stay away. read more

I've been here quite a few times and the service is great. The salon is so clean. Everything is brand new. The pedicure chairs are the best quality out of all the salons that I've been to in this town. They clean the salon constantly. All of the nail polishes are new and clean. They offer a particular pedicure that I'm obsessed with, it's called green tea, and they pour tiny beads into the foot tub that expand and make the tub stay warm . Overall...for communication skills I give them a zero. I never felt comfortable, and I certainly never felt welcomed. When i entered the nail salon they stared at me like i had four heads. I felt like I was begging them to do my nails and not paying them to do my nails. And the job is very mediocre there's only two nail techs that does a good job but they're very aggressive with your hands. Nevertheless, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so I gave them a second chance and there was no improvements. Therefore I would never EVER recommend this place to anyone. Nail places out here (meaning Riverhead and east) aren't cheap...so I was looking for a place to do acrylic tips with either pink and white, or color gel on top. I'm happy with the results I've gotten (been there a few times) and I definitely think their prices for nails are reasonable. The place is clean and has steady business, which to me is a good sign. I only gave them 4 stars because, when you get a fill-in, there's zero complimentary massage...not even when you wash your hands before they paint you (I've never been to a place that doesn't do that!), no massage while you dry, etc. It may not be a big deal to some people, but that's one thing I enjoy about getting my nails done! read more

If you are looking for quick, decent looking nails or eye lash extensions then yes give this place a try. Just don't expect it to last longer than a few days. The polish will chip and the lashes will fall out. Simply put their work doesn't last at all 5 days at best. It's always a last minute, last resort type stop for me.
