I've been going to this nail salon for over 30 yrs. This past spring the business was sold and the new management is horrendous. Yesterday my friend and I had 2 pedi appointments at 10 am. No one showed until 10:12 and we waited until 10:25 before we were seated. The girls working on us do not speak English, needed someone to translate every thing we said. My friend left with her big toe looking like a bloody stump and I myself found the experience sorely lacking in relaxation. Forget any type of leg/foot massage. Don't waste your money. I got my nails done here last week and I love the way they turned out! The young girl who did them was very meticulous and made sure they were perfect and that I was happy when I left, I can't wait to go back for my next set :) they all have COVID 19 certifications and are taking precautions seriously they will ask u to purchase a "nail kit" for 5 dollars to be only used for you that you can bring back and for the the salon. I'm thinking about switching salons, & thought I would try this salon being it's close to my home. Uhhhhhhhhh no. Please don't even bother. I called to verify they do SNS. They said yes. I got there and the place had such strong fumes it was disgusting. They showed me the colors and literally had about 10 variations of DARK pinks and reds. Nothing neutral or lighter in color. I left Bc of selection and better off I probably would have been sick after thee fumes. The parking lot is terrible as well. Not worth trying. read more

I have done acrylics for so long now and I hate how she insists that it is supposed to be done this and that. I just listened probably that's how incorrect she does it. Whatever. Both my husband and I went for pedicures and had an Excellent experience at this salon. We, gladly, travel almost an hour to come to it and it's well worth it. I'll be back this coming Monday for a manicure and I'll bring a friend. The atmosphere was very pleasant and amiable which was enjoyed by myself and my husband. It's uncomfortable when employees and their boss don't get along but I witnessed warm and kind communication as well as a friendly interest in all us customers. I so wanted to like this nail salon, especially after reading all the glowing reviews here. I made an appointment and went to get a manicure/pedicure. As I walked into this salon, I saw almost all the tables and manicure chairs filled. I was excited to get great service and walk out with good manicures. The reception I received was meh, nothing special. No smile. I was sternly asked a direct question, "What do you want"? Is this how you greet a client? Wow she made me feel welcome... What do I want? I repeated to her. I wanted to say..."What do you think I want"? I mean this is a nail salon, work with me here. Instead I just smiled and said :"I have an appointment for a manicure and pedicure". With a dismissive wave of her hand, she pointed me to the wall filled with a thousand little bottles of nail polish to pick out my color. I had my own bottle of nail polish with me, but she didn't bother to ask. As I waited for a chair to open up, I looked around and noticed how "rushed" the vibe was in that room, no beautiful music playing, no feeling of ease or relaxation. When I get a mani/pedi, I want to relax and feel calm. This was not the case here. It was like a regimented nail chop shop. I didn't like it. But I would have stayed just to get my nails done if..... The overpowering smell of nail chemicals wasn't permeating the air. It was so strong, I could "taste" them in my mouth. My eyes were feeling irritated and I was feeling nervous. I was in the salon for less than 10 minutes, and I kept looking around for an air vent, some fresh air from somewhere, and there was none. I knew I could not sit through two manicures, not even one manicure and inhale the strong, toxic fumes in that place. I looked to the technician...he was just interested in getting me into the pedicure chair, in fact, he almost took my arm to lead me into the seat, when I turned away and then told him, the fumes are too strong in here. Without missing a beat, a female manicurist turned from her client and shakes her head at me and says "It's not that bad, we get you mask". With that, the male technician literally runs into a back room and runs out with a paper thin face mask and shoves it at me. Once again the female manicurist says "Wear mask, wear mask" through the mask she was wearing. I couldn't believe this. I didn't come to a nail salon to breathe in noxious chemicals and when I protest they offer to give me an uncomfortable mask to wear. I am not in a factory, I just want my flipping nails done. I have news for you, that flimsy mask would have done me no good. I needed a gas mask for that place. I literally ran out of the place and good thing I did. I got sick to my stomach and got a nasty headache just from that short time in that toxic tent. It's a little less expensive and the ambience is tranquil, quite lovely in fact and with the big screen t.v. on (muted) and new age music playing and marvelous massage chairs, I feel like it's a little slice of heaven. A friend and I wanted manicures before another friend's wedding, and we were running low on time. This area has no shortage of nail salons, but the first few I went in were dirty and the staff barely acknowledged us. Le's sat us down immediately, did a great job on our nails, and were friendly the whole time. The salon is large, so it didn't feel cramped, and we watched movies that were playing on the big screen TVs. When my gel manicure was finished and my friend was still drying her fingers & toes, I was able to relax in the waiting area with a solid stack of gossip mags. If I ever find myself in Riverhead again, I'll definitely go back to Le's for a mani/pedi. Great place! I was traveling and my friend who lives nearby recommended this place. It's pretty typical however the staff is very Friendly and nice. Relaxed vibe and extremely affordable. Lynn or lily did my acrylics and gels, which came out pretty good. Not the best but still lovely! My friend recommended me to this place, and I have to say I am pretty pleased so far with my experience. I have had fill-ins for my acrylic nails here about 5 times in a row now, not much to complain about. The place is clean, very friendly staff. I go to Helen for my fill-ins, she is very nice and does a good job. Stephen is good too. I suggest making an appointment because they usually seem busy whenever I go. A few times I have had to wait 10+ minutes even though I made an appointment prior, and that was kind of annoying. The price for a pink and white fill is around $30, a little pricey compared to some of the other places in the area. But my nails seem to really last and Helen takes her time with them. She also asks questions when doing my nails (to make sure if I like them and if I'm happy with how shes doing them) and I really like that. read more

I went with one other person and she asked for a pedicure. They FINISHED her pedicure as i soaked in acetone, so i decided to take off my gel so i could speed up the process. As they made negative faces as me as i was clearly doing their job when the guy (Steven) came over he took the bowl my nail chippings and nail polish remover was in and took a squeeze bottle and put the remaining acetone BACK in the bottle. This place was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. The woman used the same wet rubber gloves as the women before me, and the foot scrub and brush used for my feet were "washed" afterwards in my own foot water and put back to be used for the next customer. On top of that the paint job was streaky and messy. I think they may also reuse the styrofoam flip flops they give to people when they don't have sandals of their own with them. Terrible terrible terrible!! Very sloppy pedicure and gel manicure. The gel manicure was soooo thick it looks like I have acrylic on and it is also bubbly and clumpy! The guy kept telling me " it's not me, it's the nail polish". Came here with 2 friends and their nails are the same way- so it cannot be all the nail polish and if it is- GET NEW ONES!!! Came here the other day for a gel manicure and pedicure. My technician didn't even cut my cuticles properly. There were still so many cuticles. My paint job was also very sloppy. Gel polish all over my cuticles (which by the way, you're supposed to be trained to know that this won't make the gel polish last long). Took very long for my service.
