I initially tried to book yesterday and there was some confusion about availability, the nail tech I was asking about, and the design I had shown them. I was trying to communicate that I wasn't necessarily requesting that exact design or that specific nail tech -- I was showing the photo more as a reference for the quality/style of nails I was looking for. Unfortunately, that didn't really come across, and there were several back-and-forth conversations about my appointment. I was eventually told to come in today at 11:10, which I understood to mean there would be time for the type of set I wanted. I drove over excited for my appointment, only to find out that I actually wasn't in the system. That was definitely frustrating, especially after all the communication the day before. Thankfully, they were still able to work me in, which I really appreciated because I had an event to get ready for. The nail tech who ended up doing my nails was initially a little impatient when I was being particular about the details, so that took a couple points off for me. However, by the end of the appointment, he definitely made up for it. He was able to get my nails done and the overall design came out nice. I'd give the design itself around a 7/10 -- it came out a little darker than I originally envisioned, but I also think I could have done a better job communicating what I wanted and suggesting alternatives. I'm currently getting my toes done as well, and I'm glad they were able to accommodate me and still get me out in time for my event. Overall, the booking/communication experience definitely needs improvement, but the staff was able to make things right, my nails look good, and I'm leaving satisfied. I haven't had Botox or fillers done in years, and now that I'm 60 years old, I felt I owed it to myself to do something to improve my facial skin, and after only one day, this seems to be the answer. I was hesitant. I never had micro-needling done before, and just the thought of tiny needles all over my face was horrifying, but believe me when I say that it was no biggie. The salon is beautifully designed and decorated. The employees are friendly and responsive. Cindy is a licensed aesthetician with over a decade of experience, and I was impressed by the technology and her skills. The numbing process took a few minutes, but was well worth the wait. While I can't say that I didn't feel anything-- it was slightly uncomfortable, but very bearable (and I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to pain).
