I moved to Brevard County 3 years ago and have tried multiple salons in the area. I was so disappointed with each, that I finally gave up and continued using my stylist in Boston frequently flying up for business. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted to mentally prepare myself for losing my long locks of hair. I caved and went to a nearby salon. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place. I wanted to donate my hair and they offered a wide selection of charities to choose from-which is simply awesome! The owner was very supportive of my situation and offered to have me come back anytime to shampoo my hair after my surgery since I couldn't use my arms, as well as offered to shave my head free of charge once my chemo started. On top of the amazing staff, they did a great job with my cut and styling! I was worried about having short hair since my hair is so thick, but they made it look amazing. I had my hair colored here and the stylists were very concerned about the effect the color product was having on my scalp. I waited a week to have my Brazilian blowout because of the concern they displayed. Austin is a wonderful stylist and did a great job on my blowout. I could not have been happier! He is professional and knows what he is doing. All the stylists there are quite professional and I am impressed by their knowledge and originality. The salon is clean and well set up. The wash station is really cool! The only drawback is that it has no street frontage so you have to hunt for it off Babcock. All in all, a very pleasant experience! I will be going back! read more

I've never actually written a Yelp review before (nor do I live in Florida anymore), but I was so thrilled with my experience I felt it was about time to change that. I came in today to cut off a couple inches of dead hair and add some long layers. Nikki, my stylist, was super friendly and very attentive to my needs. I've had some bad experiences in the past with salons, but she did an incredible job and made sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. I couldn't have been happier with my end result. The salon itself is very clean and cozy, and the rest of the staff were very friendly as well. Love the little extra touches they offer to help make you feel extra pampered - as you get your hair done, you can have a beer or glass of wine and I love the heated towel for your neck as your hair is washed. Also, prices are wonderful - my cut, wash, and style was only $30 ($25 if you use the Yelp coupon). I would've gladly paid more for my experience and made sure to leave a good tip. Rosa is warm and easy to talk to. She is very knowledgeable and also gives tips on how to style your hair as everyone has different texture, etc. It's always a little daunting to find a hairdresser that is skilled and friendly as well. Let me start by saying i am 40 weeks pregnant, so going to a salon and sitting in a chair for 2 hours isn't easy, but I went in on a recommendation from a friend to get a simple highlight and some pampering with Hailey before the baby comes, because who knows when I will have time again! I have had platinum blonde hair since I was 16 and it needed some "uplift". I explained I wanted to keep the platinum blonde and Hailey suggested a balayage (rooted look) which would be less maintenance. I agreed and trusted even though I wasn't sure about the balyage. She put the bleach on and washed it out about 30 minutes later. As soon as I sat in the chair I could tell my platinum look I was going for was more of an ashy, dull blonde. I tried to not jump to conclusions and let her blow dry (oh, which isn't included.....you have to pay EXTRA to see what your hair color ACTUALLY looks like, ridiculous). I paid the extra to get my hair blow dryed....by 2 people, which i hate. One working on one side, one on the other so i had a smooth look from Hailey and more frizzy look from the other stylist. (I went home and flat ironed it). My hair color was NOT what I wanted, looked nothing like the picture and i had weird caramel streaks right where i part my hair. She could tell i wasn't happy but the only comment was "go outside in the sunlight and it will look different". Yes, i will perminatly sit outside to make sure my hair looks like what i paid you for?????? I went to check out....$175 dollars....i literally said holy crap. I paid, reluctantly.... and asked when i could come back to get my hair fixed, they said Friday at 3...okay, sure. I had to take off the afternoon from work, "2 hours of vacation " to get it fixed.....did I already mentioned I'm 40 weeks pregnant??? I went back today and had Hailey highlight my hair. I was then informed that if i wanted it blow dryed....wait for it.....it would be EXTRA!!!! I spoke to the owner and she said, "You weren't happy with the color service, your blow dry was fine". Long story short, I am SHOCKED at the lack of customer service, or even care at all by this small business owner. I was treated as if i had done something wrong and when i wanted my hair blow dryed, so I could see of it was even fixed, i was told no. As a woman, soon to be mom and someone on a budget, going to the salon is a treat. I left this salon feeling taken advantage of and anything but pampered. Save your money and go somewhere else. I didn't mind having to go back to get it fixed, but i did mind being mistreated as a customer. read more

Today was my first time at this salon. I was nervous because I have been to places that seemed nice and ended up with a bad haircut and color from people who didn't know what they were doing but I have found my new salon. This place is really good. Austin did my hair and he was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable and up on all the current trends and techniques and also very nice. I came in with pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like and it turned out exactly like I wanted! One appt. and now I will be a regular customer. Everyone there was nice and seemed to really know what they were doing. I am very picky about salons and I was very impressed. Thanks Austin! My hair looks so cute! I'm not usually someone who likes to leave comments unless the service was great, but I'm so disappointed in how much I paid for my balayage and not having any change in my hair that I have no choice. I'm new to the area and I had googled places to go in Florida. I was impressed by the work Hailey, the stylist I chose, has done that I decided to go to aquafredda. She was a really nice person, easy to talk to. By the end of the hair appointment when she asked me how I liked my hair I was straight forward with her when I said it looked like she didn't do anything to my hair. It seriously looked the same as when I walked in. She told me I would have to come for multiple visits to break through any color I had in my hair to make it look like the picture I brought. I understand that, but honestly to not have any kind of dent in my hair that I even got my hair done, especially a balayage hair style makes me know that I wasted 140$ for nothing. I'm a college student who doesn't have all the money to come in a month for another try, when it should have at least looked like you came close to the caramel balayage hairstyle I chose to begin with. I'm so disappointed, and upset knowing I wasted that money for nothing. And don't be fooled by the comment from the owner. She only refunded 135 from the 160$ I paid and refused to give me my entire money back. Beside that the fact that the stylist did tell me about the many sessions that is needed to achieve the right balayage she couldn't even break through the hair color I walked in with, SO YES I DESERVE MY MONEY BACK . Paying 140$ every session to get closer to any kind of balayage does not seem worth it for any person who wants to get their hair colored. Would not recommend aquafreddas to anyone! read more

I went in yesterday with a mess of a hair-color that I did myself. I was nervous and not looking forward to being lectured for using boxed hair-dye. But I was surprised at how chill the associates were. Austin was my hair stylist and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a fantastic job. He worked on my hair for over three hours. Throughout the process he explained each thing so I was educated as to what was being done to my hair. He price quoted me before we even began, and stayed true to that price. I had recently had my hair done by AJ. She is amazing, very talented. First off I was able to book an appt the same day. I was not planning on getting what I actually wanted due to the time frame of the appt, but I explained to AJ what I really wanted hair color change and a drastic hair cut. She was able to do exactly as I asked. I was there for several hours, but AJ had given me exactly what I wanted. You know you have a really good looking hair job when other woman stare at your hair...and believe me I know they like it. I will be bringing my whole family in to see her. Just moved to the area and needed to find a new salon. Found it! This is a wonderful place! Clean and friendly. Had my hair cut and colored by Nicole. Wow she did an amazing job. I am currently pregnant and she was so aware of the changes and care of a pregnant woman's hair. She got me all colored and cut then gave me shampoo and conditioner suggestions. The complementary paraffin hand dip (with any color treatment) was a bonus! I will be coming back for sure and requesting Nicole! read more

I was able to book a same day appointment for a cut and color. The Stylist, Lauren, was very sweet and really understood what I wanted for my hair color. While I waited, I received a nice hand paraffin treatment! My haircut was lovely and Lauren offered very great advice on products and hair care. I went here for the first time a few days ago and had such a good experience. I had long hair for very long time and wanted to get it cut to a short bob. Austin did an amazing job! First time I went to Acquafredda's Salon was yesterday. Felt at home as soon as I walked in. Had an appointment with Lauren and explained what I wanted. She got the idea real quick and started working on me. First time I've had heated towels on my head and massaged while getting hair washed. Was really very nice. She did a very nice hair cut and more up to date than I've had in six years. Learned about new products and brought a few home to see if I can get my hair in better condition. Re-booked for 3 more appointments. Hopefully I can see this being my permanent salon and quit looking for ones that know how to cut hair. They definately have the know how on that! Have been to the salon multiple times with two different stylist and was always happy with the outcome of my balayage and haircut. Unfortunately I will not be returning because after calling to reschedule a previously scheduled appointment the man working the front desk was very rude and condescending. Highly recommend the stylists working here and hope this isn't the customer service others get, it's a shame for the hairstylist to lose business for this reason. read more

Lauren is amazing! I have thick, slightly coarse (think Dominican-ish) hair. I don't blow dry or straighten and Lauren UNDERSTANDS THIS. So when I bring in pictures of what I want my hair to look like she lets me know before hand what I'm getting myself into. I LOVE THAT. I have heard things about this place before so I decided to stop in, and I don't think I will be returning, and will be telling my friends to avoid this place as well, two of which who are repeat customers. I did not like the way the owner treated her employees, she was very rude and talked down to them, in front of customers. The whole mood in the place was filled with tension because of her actions. I don't want to go someplace to get my hair cut and have to feel stressed. She needs to start treating her employees with more respect. read more

Awful customer service. I am really dissapointed with this salon. I have made an appointment were I had clearly said that I wanted a Director. A day before the appointment, they called to confirm it, which I did and I don't know why, but I have asked again if my hair would be taken care of a Director and they confirmed it. A few hours before my app. the next day, they called and said the they actually do not have a Director, they have only an entry-level person or a Creative Director, which is the owner of the salon. But she is very busy and she cannot take care of me that day. I said, all right, when can I come and the next available vacancy would be in September. People are you serious??? On the website they ask you to cancell 24h at least or they might charge you or even decline your appointment. Should I charge you also???? They didn't even care. I had read in other reviews that this appointment at Entry-level, Director or Creative Director it's just a scam, but I had ignored. It turns out it is really true. Honestly, I am an European and you wouldn't have that in my country. But, all for the best, because I have went on the same day to another salon and I was impressed by everything.
