I was walking along the main avenue and this pizzeria caught my eye. They had about five different pizza pies on display and all of the slices cost the same $29 pesos. There were some smaller slices of pepperoni for $22 as well. I've had the basic cheese and pepperoni pizza before so today I was in the mood to try something different. I decided on two pizza slices made up with Tocina (ham), salchicha (bacon), and salami. In heinsight I probably should have gotten just one slice of the ham, bacon, and salami slice, and one slice of something more common like cheese. Having lived in New York City for 8 years, and having been well versed in New York pizza, I would characterize the pizza from here as fair. I still finished the two slices, bit they tasted rather dry. I think the biggest problem with pizza from around here is the lack of sauce. Too many times I've seen people here adding ketchup on top of their pizza, and that's just criminal. The pizza crust could also use some help! read more
