This restaurant is insanely overpriced for breakfast, not only because it is not in any way exceptional, but also because the service is so bad. A cup of mediocre Cafe Americano for 35 pesos? Black tea for 49 pesos? A plate of scrambled eggs for 85 pesos--with nothing accompanying it, not even a piece of toast. Add to this indifferent service--we had to ask for every "extra," such as salt, milk for coffee, butter for toast ( the toast that apparently comes with no butter or jam, was an additional 25 pesos). This was the first time we did not ask to see a menu before we sat down. It never occurred to us that the prices could be so out of line for what is just an average, basic cafe. The food at La Abuela, which is just two blocks away is better and half the price. read more
