Went here for a late breakfast and to get some laptop work done on a Sunday. Wasn't as convenient of a place to work, because the tables all seem designated for the restaurant and cafe, but the cafe breakfast was delicious! I've been trying all the French toast in the city, and this one was pretty good. Extra points for the whipped cream. My meal looked like something a child would order, but I'm okay with that. Haha. There is an English reading section that's about 2 bookshelves. Not a huge selection, but I'd prefer they leave space for the Spanish books.

Worst bookstore ever. If you give a f**k about books you know they're for perusing and exploring. Every single book is covered in saran wrap plastic. This place is for looks and for people looking for Instagram/tik took posts.

We stumbled upon El Pendulo while walking around the Juarez neighborhood after dinner, which was a nice stop. If there's a bookstore, you can bet on me to be there, and this was no exception. El Pendulo is a bookstore, with a cafe and restaurant inside. On a Friday night, the restaurant was pretty busy and when we entered, the employee asked if we were visiting for the bookstore or restaurant because the restaurant was all booked up. Good to know it gets busy here for the food and drinks! But the books were what I was here for. The bookstore had a good, large selection of books. Although most of the books were in Spanish, they did have a section for English. Of the titles I saw, I was impressed with what they had, featuring a lot of my favorite writers, in addition to more best-selling books. There are two stories of books here. Overall, I recommend visiting El Pendulo if you want to browse a bookstore in Mexico City, as the selection was good, and you can stay and hang out, if you want to check out the restaurant or cafe. If I lived in the area, I can see myself being a frequent customer here.

Enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant inside a quaint bookstore. The green juice, fresh fruit, French toast and chilaquilas were delicious! The service was great! Definitely a great spot to check out!

Great atmosphere! As an avid reader this was on my list to visit during my trip here. Would love to just grab a Matcha and read here. We came for breakfast and both had the chilaquiles verdes. The food came out a little cold. The food would have been amazing if the temp was a little hotter then it came out. The only issue we had was our waitress. It felt like she didn't want to be here and was borderline rude. Every time we would ask for sometime it was as if we were bothering her. Made the trip a little unpleasant.

El Pendulo is a cool restaurant to inside a bookstore. There is seating inside and outside so you have a choice. The food was good. I got the chilaquiles divorciados con arrachera which have red and green salsa. The flavor was a good but it did need a little bit of salt. My wife got the huevos leñeros which are two eggs over goat cheese and three different types of salsa. The salsa did taste like the salsa you use for enchiladas but it was good. Both of our plates came as a meal. You have your choice of fruit juice or fruit plate and coffee of tea. The kids shared a Fredo sandwich awith fries. The price is not bad the service is good. They have a really extensive menu which is good if you want choices.

Loved El Péndulo!!! Two of my favorite things in one place books and food ;). This "cafebrería" has a great ambiance. The chilaquiles, green juice, coffee and guayaba jelly were delicious. Server Sergio was very nice and attentive. I will def be back for more.

Amazing record selection! And really good food! Had the Sopa de Pollo de Abuella, muy bueno!

Order the chilaquiles!!! The steak is amazing and it's a huge portion. I've never had this dish before, but I'm sure I'll be craving this in the future after trying it for the first time here. You can pick red or green chile to go with it and they ask how you prefer your steak cooked. Medium is the way to go. The location is right in La Zona Rosa and very conveniently located close to the metro station. The store itself is cute and looks like a typical bookstore from the outside, but they have an upstairs bar and indoor cafe with some outdoor seating too. If you get lucky, you may even get to enjoy some live music with your delicious meal.

Awesome place! (I'm from California) I ran into this place on Saturday late morning, got seated w no wait. Very cool live music, really enjoyed the peaceful breakfast, which was also yummy. Lots of cool books (wrapped individually) & cool old bldg.

The book store makes the vibe nice but the food is not great. It's unseasoned and cold.

This small bakery is off on a side street and the only reason why I found it was because I just happened to be close to exchanging money. In fact there are at least five or six other small restaurants on the same street. I bought just a single Danish that had some type of pineapple filling. There were so many more like strawberry and orange that were equally tempting. I already knew I wasn't going to go for some heavy chocolate pastry or even a concha for that matter. Calories are important these days and I think I made the right choice with the pineapple danish. The first bite is awesome!

And they took my order w/ no problem. They were super nice. Place is super clean and they have good music. So atmosphere pretty cool, great spot to meet friends and hang out or just have a tea, latte, coffee whatever. Crêpe was good but not the best I've had, the dough was thick for my taste and apparently at this spot all the Crêpes have cream cheese. Make sure to tell them no cream cheese if you are lactose intolerant. I asked if they could please remake it because I was lactose intolerant and they fix it with no charge. I was so happy and the fact that they had an amazing attitude made the Crepe taste better. Other than this place is awesome Muchas gracias por sus atenciones y las delicias.
