One of my most favorite hotel stays ever! What a unique hotel! I mean it's inside a museum, so you know it's going to be good, but we really loved it! We stayed in suite 5. It was super clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was huge, and the AC worked great! We stayed for two nights and had to leave early both mornings for tours, and the hotel offered to deliver breakfast to our room both mornings. Oh my gosh, it was so much more than we were expecting! We were totally spoiled. Great breakfast! The room was essentially sound proof and the room darkening blinds were a godsend. Plus they included complimentary mini bar beers and soda. What else could you ask for? (Oh and they bring you a turn-down dessert every night! Cheesecake and pastries were brought. Amazing!) The hotel's communication was impeccable! Always available via WhatsApp. And they also let us leave our luggage on the last day while we went on a tour, despite already being checked out. 12/10 loved this hotel and cannot recommend it enough! I happened to be walking by, and I noticed this designer cafe off to the side. The first thing that I noticed is just how trendy this cafe really is. Wonderful art and cool stuff covers practically every square inch of wall space. They even have an adjacent store which is where they sell even more art and unique things made in Mexico. I thought why not chill here for a few minutes with a capiccino and cinnamon roll. Interestingly, they have a pretty extensive menu which offers all kinds of lunch items to full course meals. While I was here my Server told me that this cafe is part of a larger hotel, and they also have a museum on the second level. They have free awiFi and there were a few folks actually working on their laptops in on of the sections of the cafe. The capiccino was great, and I had an awesome experience here. read more

A cute restaurant just off of the Zocalo. A diverse menu with lots of options (even vegan). The drinks are great as well. We had the portabello mushroom burger which was inventive, fresh, and delicious and a beef dish that was beautifully plated. Drinks are fresh and amazing, too. We had 2 mezcals, a margarita and a mezcal and hibiscus drink and two mains and it came to about $45 before the tip. read more

We had taken a night tour of CDMX & decided to have a late night dinner. The food was delicious & presentation was exceptional. The ambiance was pleasing to the eye & the jazzy music was soothing & relaxing. Sadly I had to remove a star for our server Daniel. When I asked if they had WiFi he condescendingly said the password was at the bottom of the QR code table display. It wasn't. When he returned with our drinks I told him that password didn't work then he turned the QR code display around where there was a handwritten password. The icing on the cake was when it was time to pay the bill on my credit card he was handing me the receipt to the completed transaction. I asked him if could add a tip & he said he already did. He did not give me the option to tip him less than what he felt he deserved. I didn't ask for the manager because I know the 2 ladies l was with would have felt uncomfortable & awkward. Other than that, I would definitely return to this fine establishment when I visit CDMX in the future but definitely steer clear of Daniel. read more

This little hidden jewel is BEAUTIFUL! The location was perfect. We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel was outstanding. The architecture inside was beyond my expectations. Emmanuel checked us in and assisted us throughout our whole stay. He was definitely helpful and accommodating. There are 6 rooms total and each room has its own uniqueness. Our room had high ceilings, beautiful art and gorgeous walls made of stones. They do offer wake up calls with a light breakfast and coffee in the morning, at your designated time. * Altogether our favorite hotel stay in our trip to Mexico (5 hotels/ 2 weeks). We would love to come back!! * We adored the modern vibe in the context of a lovingly restored historic building.  * Props to the manager, Emmanuel, who patiently fixed my error with the dates, and ensured that we got a marvelous deal on those extra nights. * He also fulfilled my request for the top floor. FYI, we got stronger at climbing the stairs, a great workout for us as middle aged people.  (Folks with mobility issues will want to stay on a lower level.) * Glorious restaurant, and the breakfast is FREE when you stay in a room. Perfectly cooked foods presented creatively.  I especially was grateful for the delicious consome de pollo when I needed something gentle for my 'turista' belly. * Diverse guests from Mexico, the United States and elsewhere in the globe made for some fun conversations in the shared salon. (The shared room had a large dining table, some sofas, and self service coffee and tea.) * Exceedingly generously sized rooms with huge ceiling heights and clever window/ door latches. Spent much time enjoying the small balcony overlooking the paseo below as well as the view of the Torre Latinoamerica (famous midcentury architecture) in the distance. Yes, I kept the rubber ducky from the bathtub.  * Sweet maid service, and we urge you to consider tipping your maids whilst visiting in Mexico.  * Absolutely perfect location, next to the Zocalo/ main plaza, restaurants, museums, Aztec sites and early colonial era churches.  * One of the nights we were there, Mexico City resumed its occasional music performance series in the Zocalo, and we were serenaded by a popular Cuban singer. Amazed by the number of people we saw - probably tens of thousands! * The small store attached to the restaurant offers many unique items. read more

We stayed in the neighborhood and this restaurant was near by and had good reviews so we stopped by to get breakfast. We got seated right away and we sat by the window where we could see people walking by. The menu has plenty of items to choose from and we got coffee and our food. The food was good as well as the coffee and our server came around a couple of times to check on us. People started to come and soon enough the restaurant was pretty full. I like the decor of the place since it has very high ceilings, paintings on the walls and a store right next to the restaurant that we visited right after our breakfast. Afterwards we did stop by their museum in the back and upstairs so if you have time visit it as well. read more

Love the shrimps tacos at Mumedi, they don't use corn or flour tortilla, it's actually something like raddish as the wrap. They shrimps were fresh and tasty. The appetizer mini mushroom tostadas were also really good. read more

It looked like your typical "hipster" cafe, but the food would stand up to any five-star restaurant anywhere. The first time we went we had a delicious sandwich of jamon serrano, salami and turkey on a multi-grain baguette. Delicious! The second time we popped in for an afternoon pick-me-up for a chocolate malt and limonada. We convinced our friends that we should have dinner here and we were not disappointed! From Arranchera burrito to enchiladas verses to fish and chips, all diners left satisfied! So much so, that we just finished breakfast there, our last meal in Mexico and, again, one of the best! I give it a four because I think it is just me really don't like Mexican food that much. I got a chicken soup again and it tastes okay. I ordered the chilaquiles with the green sauce. It tastes good but after a while it gets so sour. And I usually like sour food. My friend ordered enchiladas de mole de xico. And he loved the more sauce way more here than the last one we got. The customer service here is pretty good and they have stuff that speak English which is nice. But you need to ask for lunch menu sometimes. Because we came to 1pm but they only gave us the breakfast menu which does not have soup on it. And if you get a juice here, they serve after you finish your meal because they treat it as a dessert. So do ask for it if you are thirsty. They did not forget your order. Lol. read more

Hip breakfast and lunch cafe near the Zocalo. We came from breakfast and enjoyed their dark roast Americano and omelette. We were tempted also to try their black "charcoal" waffles, which were truly unique. Very light and delicate ... luxurious & exquisite, much more than fluffy. Totally unexpected delight. We took photos of the waffles and made our whole family curious & envious. Coffees were a wee bit small, and service a little slow in the beginning, but we would definitely return to fuel up before a Zocalo tour, or to rest & replenish after a day of walking this great City. read more

We had delicious spaghetti and sesame black waffles for the brunch. The restaurant looks very nice from both inside and outside.

If you find yourself in the Zocalo and you find yourself hankering for coffee, cakes, and a super trendy place to sit and stay for a while, than look no further! (OK so there may be a sea of people you'd have to cross, but have no fear, this tucked away coffee shop makes you feel you can breathe again.) While "museum" mostly means as a fun gift place that rangers from wallets to planters and posters, it's plant covered walls and hip ambiance will make you glad you walked in. The coffees come in many flavors and while I opted for the traditional variety - the Macha version of the cappuccino my friend had had me wishing I only knew how tasty it was in advance. What really won me over was the playful presentation of their desserts. I ordered a 3 leches cake. Coming in a Mason jar and poured over cream at time of delivery, the ratio of sponge cake, 3 leches, and strawberry was heavenly. I only wish I could comment on my friends dessert, but I can only remember that this too took a modernist approach that was playful and classy. And oh so tasty! Coming to learn that Mexico indeed can be a foodie town, and this is once place definitely worth a revisit. read more

We stumbled upon this cute cafe while shopping. I ordered a juice drink that consists of apple, carrot, and ginger. I asked the server if I could have am extra kick of ginger and he said the juices were pre made. Since I wanted to be a little healthier than usual, I ordered it anyway. The juice was light in color and tasted watered down. I couldn't even taste the ginger. You're better off taking a 3 minute stroll about a block over to Jugos Canada to get your juice fix on! Their juices are made to order and costs about half the price! Food was okay. Had a portobello mushroom entree. Cute spot with minimalist style decor. Stopped at this place for a quick breakfast. Ordered a malteada de chocolate (chocolate milk shake) and an omelette. The omelette was average however their pastries were surprisingly delicious! Their croissants were soft and doughy. Recommend going for the pastries alone. read more

This is one of the best cafes in the Mexico City downtown area. The menu has great Mexican and international dishes, the presentation is innovative, the ambiance is artsy and comfortable, and the service is first-rate. During my recent stay in Mexico City, I ate there three times, given the quality and variety of the food. As a plus, the cafe overlooks the Madero Street pedestrian mall and is located within a cool and funky museum, which has a great shop right next to the restaurant. I would highly recommend this place and am looking forward to going back on my next trip to the city. read more
