Although the inside of the restaurant is SUPER small, the taste of the mole pizza made up for being squished. it was amazing! and SO cheap. I will be back for the mole pizza (which i couldn't wait to try as seen in the picture)! the other pizza, with chorizo and papas was very bland. wouldn't recommend that one. service was mediocre-i felt kind of rushed out the door. would go back, but for carry out

This is not a traditional pizza place, it has Mexican inspired toppings and unusual ones, so if you are not the adventurous type then you won't enjoy it. I decided to give it a whirl, and yes, it's okay. I got the corn and chile pizza (desquitada) since it seemed like the safest option for a vegetarian. I guess it was alright....but for me I wouldn't have a return visit.

Close to the Insurgente metro station, Pixza is an awesome Mexican-style hipster pizza joint that you cannot miss! Stay away if you are looking for traditional American toppings like pepperoni, but if you are open-minded, then you'll be delighted to find choices that are unique like pulled spicy beef to bizarre like grasshopper. Of course being not so adventurous, I chose the less crazy option of the spicy beef and it was delicious! The amount of cheese is great, the spiciness is on-point, and everything is perfect. With the side of roasted blue corn and a cup of "Jamaica" water (a sweet water from Jamaica flower extract), it's the perfect pizza stop solo or with friends! Did I mention that all the pizza crust is made from blue corn? The taste and the texture of Pixza's crust makes all the difference. It's not cheap as a slice and a cup of Jamaica water is $90, but it's really worth it! You are also in luck if you can't speak Spanish, because everyone here speaks fluent English. Especially if you are walking from Insurgente to Angel of the Independence or staying in the area, I highly recommend dropping by for an unique Mexican blue corn pizza! --- tl;dr version: 1) Awesome Mexican-style hipster blue corn pizza 2) Peculiar topping choices like corn and grasshoppers 3) Somewhat expensive but totally worth it!

I love the corn crust and the different flavor toppings. Would have liked a taco pizza! I got the lupita con cream. Must eat it with salsa Verde!

The best gluten free pizza! And excellent service!!! Clean place, and is pet friendly ! Thank you God for places like this in the world! This place is most like a restaurant of pizza , this is a social project, they're doing the difference in Mexico City, this place help people without home, without money to eat, for every 5 slices of pizza are sold, 1 slice is donated to this people. And it isn't difficult to help to this project, because the pizza is delicious! I love it! It's a Mexican proposal with classic Mexican ingredients, I recommend "Chayito" pizza, with grasshoppers and cheese (this is my favorite pizza ), "Romántica" pizza with cochinita pibil (pork meat), "Curo" or "Comisario" pizza, the last is a pepper stuffed with cheese pizza. The pizza is gluten free, because the dough pizza is made with blue corn , the flavor of this pizza is similar to an original taco of handmade tortilla!

Small place, service was good, and all pizzas are made with blue corn pizza crust. I ordered the Chapitas (with Milanesa) and a Chepe (with esquite). They were both delicious! It's a very Mexza pizza, to say the least. They also had a chapulines pizza, which seems to be a very popular ingredient. Additionally, I had the Mezcamaica to drink, which was a mix of Mezcal and Jamaica. Overall, great place to go grab a quick lunch/dinner.

Out of the ordinary toppings for pizza I must say, but definitely worth a try! This place is tiny, and most of the time you have to wait in line to have a seat. The staff takes you up to the front of the place to pick your slice of pizza. I had the blue corn pizza drizzled with ranch and my husband had the barbacoa pizza with onion and cilantro. I was tempted to try the chapulines pizza! It looked pretty good. Overall a great experience and reasonable prices.

This is a very hole in the wall pizza place in Mexico City. The place is small and it was close to closing time for them so we got our pizza's to go and ate them in a plaza nearby. It was our first time trying them and first time visiting Mexico City. We decided to stop by here because we wanted to try blue corn pizza dough. I went with the personal size pizza with salsa negra which instead of tomato salsa as the base is a black bean sauce. You can opt to have with cheese or without, I went with the cheese. I ordered the gringa pizza which had pastor meat (grilled pork) and pineapple, kind of like a Hawaiian version pizza. The pizza is served with a green hot sauce on the side that you can pour over the pizza. The blue corn tortilla was a game changer for the dough, it was lighter than most and gave the pizza a good flavor. The pizza was so good I could've gone for a second personal pizza honestly. Would love to come back to this place if I'm ever back in town.

I must say this place is NOT for everyone, it is right on the street and has lots of pedestrian…read moretraffic and car noise, it often gets super crowded (best to go at off times or US eating times, as Mexican Culture tend to eat later), and all the staff seem to be tatted head to toe (I'm pretty tatted myself so I found it cool)... NOW with all that said the Pizza is Simply Excellent!!! I'm from CT and our state wins best Pizza in the USA almost every year. Some people say NYC but trust me NYC pizza is trash compared to CT. Its NOT CLOSE, Especially Bridgeport and New Haven CT. Sorry for my digression but I wanted to make the point that I am a pizza guy and that I have eaten it all over the world. When it comes to pizza I like all different types from funky pies in South Beach Miami, to avocado toppings in Cali, Big Thick Slices in Chicago to the Thin Crust Apizza Kings in New Haven CT, I love it all. Hot, Warm, Cold the Next Day. If it's good pizza I'm eating it. This place was actually my Thanksgiving Meal pic since we were outside the US celebrating this year and I wanted something that wasn't a Mexican restaurant and was a Big Hearty Meal. I looked around at reviews before I decided and this seemed to be the online favorite for a good pie in the area. Full disclosure I cheated and got a slice the night before to sample the place just to make sure I was going to enjoy my Thanksgiving Dinner. Ok so we got split a medium pie (they don't do large pies) and we went half Mashed Potato and Pepperoni (my pick) and half Caritas (Wifey's pick). Carintas is a meat type taco topping and boy was it tasty. They even gave us limes to squeeze on top so to get the full experience. As for the mashed potatoes that is my favorite pizza topping to date. Though it sounds highly weird and not something you would want to try trust me once you do it you will never go back. And every friend I have let try a slice is in 100% aggreance with me. As for the Pepperoni that really was the star of the show. One of the 2 best Pepperonis I have EVER had in my life. The other being Salernos in Stratford, CT. Shoutout to them. This Pepperoni was Amazing. I loved it so much that I could fill up a bathtub and bathe in it. Yeah it was THAT GOOD. We loved both of our pizza flavor choices and decided we both would have 2 slices of each flavor as the medium pizza comes in 8 slices. The pizza was of medium thickness but with all the toppings is was plenty and I would say it was almost as filling as a typical large pie. My wife actually could only eat 3/4 slices and said the last mashed potato and pepperoni was all mine which I happily accepted and took home for breakfast pizza the next day. I love cold pizza and this one was a great cold choice (again don't knock the mashed potato pizza till you try it, its life changing). Final thoughts: If your looking for an EPIC weird and wacky pizza in Mexico City and like casual dining this is Definitely The Place. We loved our experience and will definitely be back when in Mexico City.

Just as the saying goes regarding NYC pizza tasting the way it does because of the water, I believe the same goes for ALL pizza in different parts of the world. As such, we have developed this weird fixation on trying pizza from different cities in the world to assess the dough and, in general, to get a sense of the local take on the pizza development process. Pizza Felix was a buzzy enough candidate in CDMX for this experiment. Plus, it served as a break from the constant onslaught of heavy Mexican food, haha. First off, the natural, outdoor dining area was such a vibe. I stress a visit after the sun goes down just to savor the moody, low-lit atmosphere brought to life playfully by the colorful lighting strewn carefully in the greenery above. Now, onto the pizza! Felix co-opts a Neapolitan-style pizza. We ordered the Ricotta Fonduta (295 MXN; ricotta, mozzarella, pecorino, caramelized onions, and parsley.). The dough was of a neutral quality and thin crusted to a point; toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. Also ordered were the Meatballs for 275 MXN. These were rather bland, dry and a bit cold and were what really soured the experience because they were border-line disgusting. On that note, stick to the pizza and you'll be golden! Somehow, it was not busy when we arrived just after 7pm on a Thursday, but it really picked up at 8pm. Music also increased in volume and drinks were pouring with large groups gathering, tourists and locals alike. Pizza Felix is quite the established destination in the city and one you would not have regrets over visiting, even while in Mexico.
