Some very good friends treated me to dinner at 50 Friends Pizza. This is one of those hidden gems usually only locals know about. This one is in front of the Lincoln Park, and has a great casual atmosphere, appropriate for small gatherings of friends or family. The front of the restaurant is open to the sidewalk so as you walk in there is seating along the front and then to the left going all the way back. The kitchen and bar is on the right-hand side. They had a menu for just the wines and alcoholic beverages, and another menu for food. They offer pizzas, pastas, salads and risottos. The pizzas are baked in a wood fire brick oven, and they offer all kinds of toppings: from the usual pepperoni and Italian sausage to European prosciutto and gorgonzola cheese, to asparagus and others such as I have only seen in places like São Paulo, Brazil. I tried 2 types of pizza off their specialty pizza menu, the Benjamin and the Pavarotti. I enjoyed both, though the Italian sausage was different than I had expected. The cream cheese or something also had a sweetness to it that I had not expected. Yet it was cooked well and was delicious. My friends and I were in the back two tables. Towards the end of our visit someone in the front was smoking, and some of the cigarette smoke reached us. Fortunately it didn't last long. However, as the father of a son who once suffered from asthma, that would've been an issue for us. I did not see the bathroom so I cannot comment on that. This restaurant is in a very nice location with several other restaurants nearby. I can imagine it would be very crowded on some nights - especially during the weekend. I understand they do offer takeout. I really enjoyed my visit and if you're in the mood for some really good pizza, this is your place.

Super cute and great brick oven pizza! The chef let our daughter watch the pizza making and even sent our table a bit of dough for her to play with and sample. The pizza was delicious and also came with three different oils to add on - garlic, olive and chili - to create the right flavor profile. Also they have a few options for Mexican wines to try. Yay for keeping it local!

I went and asked for a menu in English. They just said no. They told me to leave. Rude and disrespectful. Dont go here.

May people who visit this place realize is just the pretty lights and for what they literally closed down for renovations and just to not renew their energy and souls and attitude. I don't have to wish nothing bad. But karma is real. No wonder why they overprice for the location and their food and drink items are lame

We are visiting from New York City, and our experience with pizza in the city has been less than favorable. There are a couple of things lacking, namely the very dry crust, and the shear lack of any sauce added to the pizza. This place suprised both of us. We watched them as they prepared our pepperoni pizza right after we ordered it. Then we waited patiently this time, which is a new skill that we both have acquired. Our Server dude brougjt the pipping hot pizza right to our table, and I could see right away the huge amoun of sauce shining through the cheese and pepperoni. It was awesomely delicious, and I really with tjat other pizza restaurants would learn how to make a real pizza from these guys.
