Pro--the pizza was really good. I do want to give them props for that. Excellent crust and the cheese was perfectly placed to balance with each bite. As far as food goes--this place was great.
Con--the service staff was kind but lingered near our table for basically the entire dinner. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we went so maybe they were looking for things to do but it made our experience really uncomfortable. At multiple points throughout the dinner, I could've reached out and held hands with staff members hanging near our table with eyes locked on us while we tried to enjoy dinner with our kids. I'm not sure if this is a directive from management; but it was overbearing and made us uncomfortable. It went beyond the type of attentive service that might be a positive--it made our experience worse despite the food being really good. I'm not sure if it's always like this, but I do think it's important to note, especially given that many other restaurants in CDMX have almost the opposite attitude where they leave you alone until you flag them down. This was the pendulum swinging too far the other direction. read more
