From Ear Pain to Pain-Free -- Thank You, Dr. Gohar! I've been going to Viva Smile in Van Nuys and seeing Dr. Gohar for over 20 years -- and honestly, I will never change my dentist! She's the absolute best. Recently I had really bad ear pain and went to the emergency room. They said it was an ear infection. The next day (Saturday), I went to an emergency dentist -- only because Dr. Gohar's office wasn't open that day -- just to make sure it wasn't a tooth issue. They told me it was a sinus infection. By Monday, I decided to see my dentist, Dr. Gohar, and sure enough, she figured it out right away -- I needed a root canal. That was just a week ago, and today I went in for my follow-up. My tooth feels amazing and I have no pain at all. Dr. Gohar really knows her stuff and takes such good care of her patients. They scan your teeth! lol I have never had my teeth scanned to create a 3-D model. That was cool! I used a Groupon and they definitely treated me like I was spending $1k in cash! Super legit and detailed. Two thumbs way up! They didn't skip any steps: X-rays, scan, and thorough cleaning. They were on it with the suction too -- much appreciated. Friendly receptionist and staff. Took less than an hour. I believe her name was Karen that did my cleaning. Zero complaints. They even used a numbing gel on the gums to help ease any discomfort. Very happy with my experience at Viva Smile! I came here after a bad experience with another dentist and wanted a second opinion on some fillings that kept needing to be redone. They were very thorough in examining my teeth and determined the issues with my existing fillings were due to them being poorly done in the first place. The office staff helped me get my old dentist to refund me for the badly done fillings and helped me navigate the insurance issues so that my new fillings were covered. My Dentis Experience Having had my fair share of bad experiences in the dental chair, I felt compelled to share my experiences. But before that let me start from the beginning. The reason I so happen to find this little gem in the sea of practices in the San Fernando valley, was simply due to all the incredible reviews. After reading a few of them one after another they told tails of how basically this place changed their life's. I thought to myself these people must all be getting paid to say these wonderful things... AND, I KID YOU NOT. It's all true. From first glance as walk in I knew it was the place for me. It was SUPER CLEAN, the everyone was laid back but incredibly professional. I didn't have to wait long at all even though it seemed to be pretty popular place. The Dr. came in and I could help it but was Fascinated by how chill she was. She began to explaining to me my options were and such. Then she took off her mask for a brief moment and I saw her smile. Let me tell you, that's why this place is called Viva smile. It was like God opened up the pearly gates and doves magically appeared out of nowhere. After that she said Nelly, their hygienist a USC grade is going to do my cleaning. And when smiled you can hear Angeles singing too.
