Located off of Van Nuys Blvd & Sylvan St, 360 Dental is a Van Nuys staple and one of the best dental offices you can hope for in the area. There's street parking all around, but they have deals with some parking lots in the area for validation (360 Dental will let you know which ones beforehand). There's a small waiting/reception area, but after checking in you won't be waiting for long. The dental hygienists and dentists are top notch. Couldn't ask for better professionals, especially when working on something as sensitive as teeth. My wife has been coming here for a long time, so now have I. This is my friend's dentist. She's been coming here for a while and she is happy with the results. She encouraged me to come inquire. This is located on the corner of Sylvan St and Van Nuys Blvd. And we know that only metered parking spaces are available. It was a challenge. You are better off being dropped off or taking an Uber here. The lobby looks clean and comfortable. There are a few chairs and a pretty good sized TV to entertain clients. It was Sylvia who I talked to. She was able to give me the information that I needed. She was very knowledgeable about the insurance process. But sad to say my dental insurance is not accepted here. I honestly regret having to write this review because the actual dental care was good. My root canal and deep cleaning went smoothly, and the clinical staff were professional and did their jobs well. If this review were based solely on the treatment itself, it would have been positive. Unfortunately, the entire experience was completely overshadowed by billing and management. For context, my treatment plan originally showed a total of $2,584.50. Later, I was given an updated plan that reduced the total again to $2,128.50 including my $500 down payment. This reduction was clearly explained to me at the time. I was told that my insurance paid more, which is why the total went down. This document was presented to me as the final payment plan, and I paid according to it in good faith. After making payments based on that final plan, I was later told that a different balance was accurate, despite the written documentation I had from the office. When I asked for clarification, my questions were repeatedly deflected. It took several follow ups before I was finally told that the difference was due to a human error. What's confusing and frustrating is that the reduction was previously explained as an insurance adjustment, not a mistake. If this was truly an error, it raises the question of how and why it was communicated as an insurance increase at the time, and why no one reviewed or corrected it sooner. Additionally, when the employee who handled my billing left the office, no one reached out to review my account, clarify the change, or even give me a heads up. Instead, the issue only came up after most of the balance had already been paid, which made the situation far more stressful than it ever needed to be. Another disappointing part was the tone of the communication. I was repeatedly told that I was disregarding courtesy discounts, which is simply not true. I appreciate the accommodations and discounts that were provided, and I was never trying to avoid payment. I was only trying to follow the final agreed upon payment plan I was given. Rather than clearly owning the mistake and explaining it respectfully, the communication made it feel as though the blame was being shifted onto me. This could have been resolved much earlier with transparency, accountability, and better communication. Instead, it escalated unnecessarily and left a very sour impression, which is unfortunate because the quality of dental care itself was solid. My advice to future patients is that the treatment may be good, but be extremely diligent about billing, keep copies of every payment plan, and get written confirmation of totals. Poor billing communication can easily undo an otherwise positive experience. read more

Where to start?!?! I needed a tooth pulled and my regular dentist couldn't do it. Now I liked them just fine but I needed the tooth out and a coworker recommended this office. I called and they got me in fairly quickly and I ended up needing 2 pulled. I was not too happy and a little scared but I had them pulled by Dr. V and he was so kind and it didn't hurt at all. I did however need to come back a couple times (once to get food particles cleaned out of where the teeth were pulled and another time for some extra stitching. Both times they got me in immediately, same day, and handled me so gently and I was so appreciative. I decided to stay with them. I have since had a root canal and crown and a deep cleaning. I also have an autoimmune illness that causes me to have an extremely dry mouth so I am prone to dental issues and can get decay easily. They are very helpful and understanding with regards to this as well. The girls in the office get my ins approvals quickly and I have to say that my costs are great. I do have a dental ppo that seems to have very decent coverage. I feel in very good hands now and love Diana the hygienist and I have had work done by Dr. V. and Dr. Greg and the specialist that came in for my root canal, Dr. Mansouri, and they have all be so gracious and kind. Everyone here is so nice, and I have never been offered anything for a review. I was given a coffee cup and Starbucks card the day of my first appt back in May. And not asked for anything. They have raffles and a referral program and I am sure people like those kind of things. They also have lots of amenities in the office like lip balm and neck pillows and streaming services. I used to really like going there until the doctor wanted a doctor's note from MULTIPLE doctors to treat something he never actually treated. I refused, and I told them I'd they wanted a note then they should contact my doctor. That's not all. Then I had to unfortunately cancel my appointment, so I called the day PRIOR to cancelling and they said I owe them $50 because they need to know 2 DAYS prior to my appointment. That is ridiculous for any office. If you know the day before that you need to cancel then that should be enough. I am NEVER going back here. They want you to do their work and if for any reason you need to cancel, it must be DAYS before your appointment. Unreal. Find somewhere else. Save yourself the trouble. read more

My dentist, Dr. Fields, retired and a new dentist bought the place. Dr. Vachik D. I want to share some thoughts about the changes and the people that work there. They have expanded the number of theaters and all the rooms are updated with new furnishings and equipment. Screens in all the rooms. Comfortable. But that is not why I continue to go. I go because there is a joy in the office. Dr. Vachik D and his associates try so hard to make me smile and feel cared for. I found this office for my relative since it accepts Medi-Cal dental insurance. Unfortunately, it has been a disappointment for us, to say the least. Our experience suggests that the doctor recommended unnecessary procedures (read below), and that they use Medi-Cal as a bait to bring people in and try to sell expensive services to them. When asked for a copy of X-rays to get a second opinion, we were faced with a $25 "copying" fee per person (in reality, it is just an email!!), despite the fact that the x-rays were already paid for. This is the only office in where I witnessed such a practice in 15 years. Second, and more alarming, the doctor found "cavities" and suggested teeth removal due to some "root problems," among other things (the total suggested "treatment plan" that we received was near $3000). Both were mis-diagnoses, as confirmed by a subsequent visit to another office that didn't accept Medi-Cal but had honest medical staff, who didn't find any cavities and only suggested root treatment for one tooth (but not removal). read more

For anyone that is considering in inquiring services with this dental practice...I suggest you think twice and reconsider another dentist. This would be my first negative Yelp review. I think it's important I share my experience to prevent anyone from being manipulated into paying for a service that wasn't necessary from the beginning. As a patient you have the right to request your X-ray documents to verify procedures that were performed, I've only received partial documents. I've called and emailed numerous times to express my concerns and my disappointment with how they've mishandled my visits. Luckily my partner is a dentist and he was able to verify the malpractice and greed that was conducted in this establishment. My last visit was the end of last year, after evaluating their steps in handling my crown, misdiagnosis of my check ups and unnecessary procedures such as root canals put me in tough financial bind. Which could've been avoided if they were more transparent with what was needed. The over servicing and excessive fraudulent treatments is inappropriate and unethical, which is why is why I'll have to report these check ups to the dental board to prevent future clients from experiencing what I have gone through. read more

My first time coming, I was so amazed at their customer service, how clean their office is and how professional everyone was. From beginning to end, the hygienist and assistants were amazing I was seen by 2 hygienists for my first two visits. Sonya and Demi took care of my cleanings and Dr Danoukh and his assistant Bibi treated my cosmetic work which I love now thanks to them! I was also shocked at how amazing my root canal treatment went with Dr Mansouri. He made sure I didn't have any pain during the procedure, he made sure I was comfortable and that's very important coming into a dental office. Bibi was also there to help comfort me as she can see I was a bit scared/nervous not knowing what can happen during this procedure. Something I also think is cute is how they use walkie talkies to communicate with each other, I've never seen that before. It makes it easier and fast for their service so the doctors are not interrupted during procedures. They also have great payment plan options to help out with financial support to get treatment taken care of so I don't have to pay in full. BEWARE of this dental office. Once you're inside, something feels very off. They start by talking your ear off about their raffles. The prize of the month when I visited was a grill. Literally everyone I met there spoke about it to me even before talking about my dental needs, including the dentist. I was quite stunned, especially because they were over 1hr late. They put especial emphasis on if I leave them a positive review, they will add extra entries. I went to 360 Dental because my usual dentist didn't have an opening for me and I urgently needed my tooth to be looked at because my crown fell off. I called around and 360 Dental was the only place that could take me the same day. I was thrilled especially because it's very well rated on Yelp. Now I know why since they offer a discount and extra raffle tickets if you write a positive review before you leave the office. The whole place felt seedy and the dentist I had the displeasure of meeting, Dr. Grigor Sarafian, felt like a used-car salesman from the get-go, bordering on condescending at times. He point blank told me he zoned out when I was talking about what happened. Then told me how it fell off doesn't matter anyway. They did a bunch of tests and when Dr. Grigor Sarafian looked at my tooth and the crown. He said the crown needs to be THROWN AWAY and cannot be used because it doesn't fit anymore. He then said it doesn't fit because I have a cavity that formed that supposedly push the crown out by dislodging the cement . He said several times that I will likely need a root canal too but we won't know until later. But first we need to take care of my CAVITY, then the BRAND NEW CROWN. He then called Gohar over. She is in charge of all the medical codes to enter. Dr. Grigor Sarafian instructed her what code to enter for my quote. By the way, they also said that nothing, except for the exam, will be covered by my insurance. When I asked why, Gohar just said sometimes "insurances are like that" without giving me a concrete answer. She then pushed the non-metal crown. I didn't mind that because I didn't want any metal but when I asked her if the metal is mercury, she had no idea what mercury was. She said: "What's that? I don't know what that is. I just know that metal is cheaper but you shouldn't get it because non-metal is better." They quoted me over $2400, which they said was out of pocket even though when I called the insurance company later on, the insurance agent said all of the medical code on my quote would have been partially covered. Anyway I felt something was fishy and went to get a second opinion from another dentist on Tuesday and I also got a third opinion from my regular dentist who was then able to look at my crown. BOTH the second and third dentists told me that there was NO CAVITY (none they can see visually and none on the xray). They also told me they can just clean up the area and put the fallen crown back. I ended up only paying $50 for my co-pay and that's it! So to recap, there was NO CAVITY, NO NEED FOR A NEW CROWN, and my insurance company would have partially covered all procedures that the unscrupulous Dr. Grigor Sarafian told me was out of pocket. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. P.S.: I saw that in some 1-star reviews, they pretend that the person who wrote the review didn't actually visit their dental office and "confused" it with a different one. I have BOTH THEIR SCAM QUOTE of over $2400 and the invoice from my other dentist where they only charged me $50.
