Perhaps I should've eaten the tamale first. The Passion fruit margarita with casamigos was delicious. A bit too sweet which I'll specify less sweet next time. 4th star cuz its near the subway station. Also, there was a security guard since 9 pm.

Came again a few weeks ago, so need to give them the props they deserve. No doubt I come here for their tacos more than anything else. My favorites include the Lengua (beef tongue), Oreja (pig ear), and Camaron (shrimp). The Al Pastor and Carnitas are great too. All their tacos are always filled to the brim, which is appreciated. I do like their freshly made Guacamole and the Seafood Soup too. However, not a big fan of their cemitas or fluetas. Regardless, most of the food is quite excellent. Open early and close late, this has been a staple in my Mexican diet over the years in the Jackson Heights area. The decor is festive and the service is always friendly. I will continue to visit this Mexican restaurants for my taco fix.

I haven't been to their other locations in the city, but this was really quite good. My recommendations are the El Gobernador, The Cracken, an aguachile (mango habanero is my fave) and the tuna toastada. The Ceviches are quite boring in my opinion, so go for an aguachile instead. DRinks are great, they have cantaritos and carajillos. What could go wrong if you've got both to choose from. Service is friendly and the ambiance is authentic mexican food plus air condiditoning. We'll be back.

Our server was extremely friendly and helpful, and she was happy to answer all of our questions about the menu. The fish was fresh, and the ceviche was solid, although there was no wow factor. The standout for me was the Molcajete Norteño, the fried octopus with guacamole, which was delicious. The most annoying part of the experience was when a kid came in and turned the music up extremely loud, then started singing a solo and going around asking everyone for tips afterward. We gave him $3 for his effort, but honestly, it was more loud and annoying than entertaining. I'm not even sure if he worked there or was just someone who came in off the street. Overall, the food was solid and the service was friendly, but I'm not exactly counting down the days until my next visit.

They offer a different special for any day of the week, first time around on a Thursday Margaritas special , Tamarind & Mango nice big glass great margaritas, good tasty & nice & strong They start u off with some cake pieces, has a banana bread taste very good. Apps , we tried the Tostones con Birria very good great tasting meat & Chorizo Mac & cheese , also very good. Main dishes , Al pastor tacos & Chicken Burrito were both very good. Next time we stopped by for brunch, we got the bottomless option tried the Sangrita white, good sangrita price wise makes sense assuming u drinking more than 3-4 glasses a person. On the food Carnitas Benedict & short rib hash were both very tasty. For dessert gave the Tres Leches a try not bad, just the right amount of sweet. Another brunch visit & we tried Paloma spritz, good & Mexican coffee, pretty strong in taste. Chicken & waffles topped with bacon, very good chicken good combo dish. & the Lady's enchiladas great taste the enchiladas w the green sauce & cheese on top. Good size restaurant, small bar area towards the back, simple but colorful decor. Service overall has been good, they are attentive. Reasonable prices & u get a decent amount of food. For food, my group stuck with the beef, opting for the birria and NY strip steak tacos. Both were very tasty, and made even better with the spicy housemade salsas. The drinks may have been the highlight. I recommend the Volcan in particular. It's a very cessionable and refreshing summery mezcal drink, that could charm even the non-mezcal crowd. I also appreciated that they made a special tiny cheese quesadilla for my one-year old. The bill was high enough that it made me double check the math, and I wish that the taco dishes came with some type of side for $20+ a pop, but overall, Ayy Chihuahua is good enough that I'd come back again, at least for another round of drinks.

My only complaint for the esquite was that it had a little too much water and mayo but other than that, the corn was sweet and all the seasoning was perfect and hit the spot! The main reason why this is one of my go to places now though is because of the smoothies. I haven't been too often just yet but the smoothies that I have tried from then so far have been absolutely perfect. I am just glad that I found this spot as the weather is getting warmer because I know I will be craving smoothies more often. The place is quite small and it was quite dim when I went in. They do have a couple of tables and seats as well. The service was also great. They were very sweet and our items came out in a timely manner.

We also ordered elote which is rolled up in tin foil. It was spicy for my palate and the crumbly cheese was okay. Just wasn't for my taste at all. But corn cleared my palate for the next bite. The rice in the burrito was undercooked. Some part of the grain was crunchy, but my boyfriend didn't notice it. I think I'll give this place another try.
