Fri, 7/30 & Sat, 7/31/l21 - PARKING was a little challenging. ENTRANCE: greeted right away, hospitable. SERVICE: is wonderful, friendly and professional; very conscientious about the order accuracy. FOOD: YES, Excellent with good low price points. IMPRESSIVE highest quality; home-made from scratch; and they use fresh REAL food. (They do NOT use fake artificial food or food from a chemist's laboratory that has been canned or frozen with chemicals, nitrates, sodium and preservatives shipped across the nation. Other places use disgusting "rubber" meat. Other places use fake artificial so-call cheese made from processed oils.) Wow WONDERFUL, Viva El Gallo uses expensive REAL cheese and sour cream made from God's cows. The sauces are made fresh from the perfect blend of spices. Only The Be$t tequilas. Chips yes, were fresh and tasty hot sauces. I had the beef fajita nachos and they were great and the chips were not soggy but rather kept their crunch. Only one minus: wish they would bake the jalapenos with the cheese. This establish performs, delivers and EXCELS. This restaurant gets an "A+". The ATMOSPHERE and decor are too cool cantina style plus the back outdoor tables with magnificent views of all the Downtown skyscrapers.

I want to know if they're dog friendly. But they don't answer the phone and the website says they're not busy. Frustrating.

Met up with an old friend here for drinks on a Monday night and really enjoyed it. Super diverse…read morecrowd, very casual, and still lively even on a weekday. We got a cheeseboard, but if I had to recommend one thing, definitely the fried mushrooms if you like mushrooms. They're huge and the spicy cilantro sour cream sauce is killer! We sat in the indoor/outdoor area, which was my fave. It can take a minute to flag someone down when it's busy, but that felt understandable for how busy they were. Easy place to settle into and lose track of time a bit--just drinks, conversation, and good food without overthinking it.

I came for "just one pint" and left three days later wearing someone else's sweater, speaking in a…read morequestionable accent, and convinced I'm 1/16th Irish on my mother's side (DNA test still pending). The Guinness is poured so perfectly it should be in the Louvre. The bartender, Austin (I'm pretty sure that's his real name and not just what he tells customers), has the patience of a saint and the sarcasm of a man who's been asked "Do you have anything like Guinness but less dark?" one too many times. Highlights: The fish & chips were so good I briefly considered converting to Catholicism just so I could thank God properly. The bathroom graffiti is poetic. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I came for a piss and met half the crew." - actual quote. Then you've got Hannah, who's basically the pub's chaos coordinator. She's got blonde hair that could guide ships in a fog and a laugh that echoes like a banshee having a great time. Don't sleep on Wes - He'll nod once, slide you your drink, and if you're lucky, mutter something profound like "Life's short, drink good stout." Then he disappears to polish glasses like he's auditioning for a monastery. Absolute mystery man, 10/10 enigma. And rounding out the crew is Paige, the wildcard. She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. These people run the bar like a well-oiled dysfunctional family. They banter with each other louder than the jukebox, remember birthdays you forgot you told them, and have an unspoken code: if you're having a rough night, they'll slide you a free shot and pretend it was a mistake. If you're being a gobshite, they'll roast you into next week without missing a pour.

Great breakfast tacos. Awesome counter service. I don't drink beer so I am thrilled that they offer wine and a few crafted cocktails. You'll find their beer in a lot of establishments throughout the metroplex. Half life seems to be a favorite and the seasonal Klaus is often sold out. They have plenty of seating inside and out. You can tell this place really shines on a nice day or summer evening--it feels like an ideal spot to grab a few beers with friends and settle in for a while. Fun side note: the name "Manhattan Project" is a nod to the historic WWII project, which fits since they started as a brewery first and built a reputation around thoughtful, well-crafted beer before expanding more into coffee. I went with the tres leches latte and it absolutely delivered. Not overly sweet at all, which I really appreciated, and it gave me the caffeine boost I needed after the run without feeling heavy. The breakfast sausage sandwich was a standout surprise. Way better than expected. The bread, egg, and extra cheese all worked perfectly together, and if you're a fan of a runny yolk, this is a must-order. One of my buddies tried the seasonal matcha banana latte and said it was spot on. The banana didn't overpower the matcha and everything was well balanced--again, not too sweet, which seems to be a theme here. A couple others grabbed some of their seasonal beers to go, and if you're a beer drinker, they all said it's definitely worth checking out their rotating selection. Great vibe, solid drinks, and excellent food--especially for a post-workout stop. We'll for sure be back.
