The correct name is Viva Burritos. This place is located north of El Paso Airport. The burritos are so good, similar like the ones you will find across the border in Ciudad Juarez. They make their flour tortillas on site and they have lots of options to create your burrito. Much better than Chipotle. We had a Chicken Mole, one Bean and Cheese and one Chile Relleno burritos. I had Agua de Horchata to drink. The only downside is that they are only open for breakfast and lunch and they only accept cash. They do have an ATM machine inside. We live in Las Cruces, NM but Viva is a must stop when visiting El Paso. read more

Im lowering my rating due to my last visit. While ordering they asked me if I wanted beans I clearly said yes. I asked for a coffee and the woman at the cashier said they got none but I could go to 7/11 and buy her some. Then she asked me again if I wanted beans and I said yes. When I got my burritos there were no beans and guess what Viva Burritos without beans nor a drink are just not that good at all. The food here is quite good and well worth the $115 pre fixe for six courses. The dishes were full sixed, so sow up hungry. Everything was good including the steak, soup, the many canapé's, the assortment of breads, gnocchi (a $20 supplement since it includes truffles) the chocolate desert. Viva Café appears to have little bit of an identity crisis as the giant sign at front of restaurant says the name of the restaurant is Viva Burrito. Soo if you are looking for a Viva Café you might be a little confused. Anyhow, I met up with a friend for lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. This is a no frills, cheap but quality burrito place. The restaurant only accepts cash (but has an ATM in the store). Its very kitchen esque in that the food and register is in the back. Order your burritos and they put it together right in front of you. This is simple but tasty burritos at its best. This is not chipotle, there are no additions to the burrito (as far as I could). Each burrito is about $3 bucks. And they are generous portions for the cost. I ordered a Colorado burrito and barbacoa. Both were fantastic. Their homemade salsa was pretty spicy which I like. They do breakfast tacos in the morning. Something I will definitely keep in mind in the future. You won't be wowed by the ambience or décor but if you want some quick quality Mexican burritos then Viva Burritos aka Viva Café is the place for you. read more

This place has the BEST burritos EVER. If I could only eat at one place forever it would be here. The tortillas are made fresh (like you will see them making them during busy hours) and are incredible. The fillings are all amazing I could eat these until I explode. Viva is not a fancy place. The decor, like the food is no frills, but you won't mind once you take your first bite. With fresh, homemade tortillas and plenty of options for fillings I have never been disappointed with this place. I stop in a couple of time a month for breakfast or a quick bite at lunch. My favorite burritos are the picadillo and carnitas. The picadillo here is a bit spicy and full of flavor. The carnitas are tender, juicy and delicious when topped with some diced onions and cilantro. I always order mine with beans and cheese...make sure to ask if you want these on your burrito. At about $3/burrito this makes a filling a cheap lunch. They have a drive through to the side if you don't want to go inside, although I haven't found it to be any faster. If you're in the area and hungry I definitely recommend giving Viva a try. read more

The food is decent and reasonably priced. It's super inconvenient that they only take cash. I had to go take out money from the atm in their restaurant to pay for food in their restaurant. How does that even make sense. And they have the nerve to have a sign that says "to better serve you you we only accept cash" that's a$$ backwards but whatever I guess. I'm surprised they don't work by candle light and send communications via pony express. Definitely need to get with the times on the card and mobile pay method. How about an app, that would be great. Not sure if that's an authentic dish but it was amazing. The person I went with swore by the brisket one. So I got a brisket as well. Wasn't as good. And wind up eating that the next day. It held up. I tried two others which were delicious but I can't remember which ones. This is truly a must stop if you're in El Paso. It's like 2 minutes from the airport. Like totally worth a detour. I consider myself extremely lucky that our company warehouse is located just around the corner from Viva Burritos and stop in frequently. This isn't the sort of fast food burrito joint that many of you may have been to. They don't just throw a big, pre-made tortilla onto a griddle and heat it up. They put a freshly made ball of dough into a press fresh to order. I usually get Barbacoa, Picadillo, or Chile Verde but they have over a dozen options to choose from. I have not yet had any burrito here that failed to impress. It's definitely the super fresh tortillas that make the difference. After getting your tortilla(s) prepared and your item of choice and get your tasty morsel dressed up (cheese is extra by the way) and paid for, they also have a nice little salsa station to kick it up a notch if you'd like. Expect a line if you come during busy lunch hours as Viva is located across from Fort Bliss and there's plenty of hungry soldiers taking a quick break from their service to eat some really tasty burritos. There is a rather limited seating area and it fills up quick during those busy times. Keep your cards tucked away, Viva is cash only, but at less than $3 per burrito, it's not going to put much of a dent in your pocketbook. Wish I was in El Paso now... read more

Be sure that you call them and ask for an updated price before ordering. The website says $2.75 but you'll get there and it's $3.75. In tiny print the website does say "Prices subject to change without notice" so be careful. I personally think they need to just list the menu and then have people call for prices! read more

The tortillas are awesome! The food is also very cheap! When I got to El Paso my friend warned me that the food is phenomenal however, you'll probably get diarrhea. I didn't take them serious, went there for lunch one day and a few hours later it happened. How many violations of the health code is that? This is poor management. Get with the program. Freebird's World Burrito and Chipotle people wear gloves and then have a separate person handling the money at the cash register, who does NOT handle the food. Good burrito restaurant, burritos are good size and filling. Red chile is a bit too hot and sometimes it's smothered in the burritos. I normally like spicy food but I think they need to tone this one down a bit. The pricing is decent, not expensive but not cheap either, I'd say it's priced just right. We were referred to this place. It was amazing! We went in for breakfast around 1030. The lady informed us that they open at 6am and sell breakfast until it runs out. Which is usually around 830 or 9 am. They make the flour tortillas right there in front of you and are delicious!!! We tried the chile relleno, chicken mole, and picadillo burritos. All had amazing flavor! We tried the Barbacoa taquitos(3 to an order for $2.75) and that was some very good barbacoa. We tried to go back for dinner but they close at 4!!!
