    Chilaquiles Box

The atmosphere feels very secluded, although, it was probably due to a visit during the holidays and everyone was out of town. Pretty basic eatery location and not much of a selection for alternative food options. For the price of the food, I think you're mainly paying for the aesthetic. Overall, a fair experience.

Wow!! I am so pleased with my choice to visit Chilabox. A quick walk from my hotel in El Paso, Chilabox is a great concept where Mexican Chilaquiles come in a box customized to your liking for an exciting, delicious and fun experience. The space is adorable! Great outdoor seating area with swings (!!) and plenty of tables and benches for customers. I visited for breakfast and was greeted by the friendly and helpful staff who explained the concept to me. You choose from several sauce options and then choose your toppings. I chose rojo and verde sauce, light onions, sour cream, chicken, cheese and black sesame seeds. Everything comes carefully layered in a "to go" box similar to what you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. You can eat straight from the box, or open it up on the specially designed sides onto a plate so you can get the full experience. My Chilabox was delicious! It was done in about 5 minutes. The slightly spicy red sauce and tangy green sauce were so flavorful, the tortilla chips were a great mix of crispy and saturated in the sauce. I couldn't stop eating! I'm glad I went with light onions because they were strong. I wish there was an option to add a fried egg on top, but otherwise it was perfect!

Been wanting to try this spot for a while and I'm glad I finally did! Cool downtown location available for pickup, along with a very small dining space indoors and quaint little patio available too. The chipotle Chilabox was money! I opted to add chicken & pass on the cilantro. Every bite was delicious! Paired perfectly with the Mexican Coke in the old school glass bottle. Pickup with great (quick & convenient)! Service was great! Food was great (looking forward to trying the other 4 salutes they offer)! Downtown El Paso, let's support this spot and help make it successful!

It's a quaint little spot tucked inside The Mix Shops on San Antonio St. next to the Union Plaza in downtown El Paso. Good: They serve up chilaquiles inside a takeout box, but don't be fooled by the size, one box is enough to fill you up. They offer 3 different sauces, verde (green), rojo (red) or chipotle. My wife and I ordered the green and chipotle. Both were very good as each box was filled to the top with tostada chips, chicken*, cheese, onions, sour cream, cilantro, and black sesame seeds. Priced around $9.00 a box. You can add avocado for an additional charge. Service was friendly and attentive. Bad: If you don't want to walk around with onion mouth all day, order it without. Also, not sure if they put chicken in our boxes. *Our boxes didn't look like they had chicken in them. When I asked, the gentleman, he said they come with finely shredded chicken but I couldn't tell if that was true or not. My only suggestions for this place would be to make the chicken more distinguishable, because I couldn't tell. Also, if you can add a fried egg on top, that would put this place up a notch.

Never had this before December 13, 2023 but very impressed! Despite not having chicken for protein (because a larger number of Soldiers decided try this place out during Iron Summit 2023), the team recovered well and went above and beyond in providing an awesome dining experience!

I would love to give this five stars because the chilaquiles are pretty amazing. I order the habanero with everything on it and they were spot on... the amount that fits inside the little box is very filling. The location is nice with the swings and small patio tables outside. Here's the downfall to my experience, we placed our order inside and were told it would be ready in 12 min, went inside to get the order after about 15 min and were told another 5 min, wrong it took about 40 min for my order to come out. Some people may not have 40 minutes to wait so why not be upfront and let customers know what the wait time is.

My mom found this place through fb and we were craving chilaquiles so we came to check it out. Chilaquiles are crunchy and full of salsa, our toppings included cheese, sour cream, avocado, sesame seeds and chicken! They come in boxes that open up on the side, super convenient as you continue eating. It's a nice little place and the chilaquiles were super yummy so we're bound to come back in the future (:

Chipotle flavor! Also had the gualda verde! Both are bomb!

Small gem in downtown El Paso! Pretty cool twist to chilaquiles, very flavorful! Easy to eat. Will definitely come back! Staff is nice!

Located off one of the main streets; in a shopping complex sits Orange Cow Burgers which originally started out as a Food Truck. Now, there's approximately three locations in the surrounding areas. Menu is pretty straight forward and simple. Orders are as follows: a single, double, triple and protein cow. It's fresh ingredients, all-beef patties that are cooked to medium. The best part is they have a secret speciality sauce called moolicious! We got two single patties along with two orders of fries and a pup patty (single plain patty) for the dogs. All to go. Prices are extremely reasonable in today's market. Taste was as if you made it right at your own La Casa. Only complaint was not having "enough" of that sauce to really have it stand out beyond home cooked. That said, you can also get their "loaded fries" which includes this specific sauce as well. We opted for "extra crispy" plain fries and they were really good. Service was fair enough as far as the wait ( 2 parties a head of us) and friendly staff. Great little spot if you happen through El Paso Texas or if you're local, hit them up for your own burger experience & request extra mooliscious spread of course!

In the past 30 years I have probably had beef ribs only one other time. If you have never had them I recommend you give them a try at least once just to say that you have had them and to see if you really like them. I like them. The Rib Hut prepares them about as well as they can be prepared. The bark on them is thick (but not hard) and tasty. I had the potato salad. I won't be getting them again. There was nothing wrong with them, I just thought it was plane and bland and they have better sides. The pinto beans were amazing. The best I have ever had. Piping hot and seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of spicy kick. I will be getting those again! The roll was fresh and delicious and a little sweet. I liked it. The service was friendly and fast. I was greeted immediately on entering and the wait staff was fast, friendly and quick to get me everything I asked for. The restaurant itself is small and quaint and clean. I recommend the Rib Hut and will be going back again myself.

People ask me where to go for the best BBQ, for over 10 or more years I've said Rib Hut if you like real Central Texas style, and the best tasting sauce. The sauce is still hittin'. But much has taken a fall. I'm posting two new pictures, one from 2023 and one from today. Same order. Small combo, 2 meats, chicken white meat and spare ribs with corn on the cob. One plate has a bright yellow whole corn on the cob with butter, and skewers so you don't have to get your fingers all corny. Two beautiful glistening spare ribs and a spilt smoked chicken breast still juicy. You just want to DIVE IN! To day I got a half corn cob, stick in a bowl with some butter in the bottom. Way over cooked, no plump kernels, no skewers and when asked for was told they don't have them. Ribs look dry, no shine, now they are presented on their side but even turned they lacked enough of that honey glaze. The chicken? Well it came as a whole breast, not choir in half. The skin was practically all removed it was dry, it was mealy it didn't even have a smokey flavor, in fact It had no flavor at all. There was no signature pink near the bone, a "smoke ring" if you will, that you normally see in chicken when smoked. This just tastes like ... water for lack of a better term. It had to have the sauce to pic it UP! I did not eat much and brought it home for the dogs. And I love bbq chicken. for me not to eat it, says something even to me. This is the Mesa location so of course it's all about the nostalgia in here and they got newer daisy-dukes curtains! Please, please figure it out guys, I know after so many years it's hard to constantly maintain a high level of consistency in labor and kitchen personnel and food quality. It's hard to keep up in the world today with Apple box turnover on the labor side and inflation on the product side. I'm rooting for you to WIN the battle in the end! And this is STILL the best BBQ in El Paso.
