I was looking to find a new chiropractor after mine retired. From the moment I met Dr Vitz, she took one look at me and knew exactly the area I was having problems with (my left leg was adducted and internally rotated and was having problems walking due to my left hip flexors pulling my pelvis out of alignment). While most chiropractors require an x-ray before touching you, this was not the case with her. I explained in a short synopsis of what I was feeling (a grinding in my hip joint and a catch in the smooth movement of gait) and she just went to work, with a keen sense and feel for the points that required adjustment. Dr Vitz has a sixth sense when it comes to adjustments, and she does it almost as if she has Chi energy force flowing through her hands into your body (no joke, I really perceive this). She even talks to the areas she's adjusting as if to coax and relax them to trust her hands. She also is a highly accomplished weight lifter, and she assessed my form and gave feedback as to how to maximize my body mechanics to achieve better form for training to lift greater weight. Stellar human beings; all of them. Dr. Andrea Vitz has taken over the practice and her heart and brand of caring match those of Dr. Michael Hirsch, her predecessor. She puts her hands on your back and within in seconds she is tugging and massaging the exact spot that is in crisis. Her skill and intuition are her killer combo. I always need my neck adjusted, and I've always sort of cringed my way through it. Not anymore. Dr. Andrea "Magic Hands" Vitz may as well be called 'The Neck Whisperer'... I have no anxiety before she adjusts my neck. I allow myself to relax and be putty in her capable hands. And with a few twists and jerks, I am almost in tears from the relief I feel. I came to Hirsch Chiropractic for some massage therapy. I was in a car accident years back and have struggled with migraines ever since. Before going to the Wellness Center I tried many different medications, saw a Neurologist, excluded different foods from my diet, etc. Nothing worked. I decided to give massage therapy and Chiropractic Therapy a try. I first saw, Kae Grana for massage therapy and I can't say enough good things. She worked out all my tension and pain. She has so much knowledge on the body, mind and the healing process. She knows how to massage you just right so that too gradually sooth old injuries, work out stress tension and loosen your muscles and to help you learn about your body and how to take care of yourself. It also feels AMAZING! I've had massages from masseuse and it doesn't compare. Instead of rubbing you with oil and charging you an arm and a leg, she actually works on your body. It "Hurts SO Good!" to put it correctly. She is also an awesome person. Funny, caring, knowledgeable. She is a kind soul and very personable. Love her to death. After seeing Kae for many years, she recommended me to the Chiropractor that took over for Michael, Andrea. I didn't know what to expect as I had never been adjusted before. She was AWESOME. Just an update with my wonderful chiropractor...If your looking for options in terms of pillows, ask about the ones Dr. Hirsch has. I just tried a new pillow and it has helped me sleep on my side better. I had the buckwheat pillow (which I really like and still use) but I tend to sleep a lot on my side, so he suggested this other one. It's hard to describe, but it's a regular pillow but on the side that is closest to your neck, it has a tightly packed circular edge, which helps hold your neck while you are sleeping. It is wonderful and hopefully you'll be able to try it...just thought I'd share! read more

I am not at all surprised to see all five star reviews. Andrea is a healer, it's true. The first time I went in, I was 9 months pregnant and threw my back out. She put me back together and suggested a half hour session with her husband for physical therapy. He showed me what to do to keep it from happening again and how to rehabilitate myself. Now I go every few weeks to see Andrea. My dad lives in Las Vegas and has Parkinson's disease. When he makes plans to come visit, the first thing he does is call me to figure out how many times he can see Andrea while he is here, for an adjustment. She has healing in her hands. Dr. Andrea Vitz is an incredible healer. I have been to numerous physical therapists and doctors, all of whom have been stumped by my injuries. I've been in consistent knee pain for years, and nobody seemed to know what to do when my symptoms persisted post-surgery and post-PT. Wow!! Simply, wow!! I'd give 6 stars if I could! I literally live across the street from a chiropractor but choose to drive almost an hour to go and see Michael Hirsch. There are dozens of well known chiropractors between my home and his practice but I will never see another chiropractor as long as I am physically able to get to Michael, he's THAT good. I was raised in a home with a parent working in health care and have never wanted for better care. When I injured my knee I rehabbed with Ricky Henderson then of the Oakland A's. Dr. Hirsch's care is most certainly on par, or better than, the very best chiropractic care available. My business lives and dies by referrals so I take referrals VERY seriously. I can honestly say that I would NEVER have any reluctance about referring Dr. Hirsch's practice for ANY type of neck or back injury. He has the strength and experience to work with strong, well muscled backs that some practitioners simply can't deal with... But his gentleness and care allow him to work on some of the most frail people I have ever seen... And they come out raving!! This guy and his abilities are really quite special. I found a massage therapist at Hirsch Chiropractic. I had debilitating chronic upper back pain that started as a repetitive stress injury caused by overpracticing the piano. I had gone to doctors, physical therapists and an acupuncturist, and ingested copious amounts of pain meds. Nothing helped over the long term. I decided to try massage therapy and asked Michael Hirsch to recommend someone. He referred me to Kae Grana who works in his office. As Saralina said in her review, I can't say enough good things about Kae. She helped me to heal. She worked with her hands on the muscles in my back to loosen the tension and enabled me to walk out of the office pain free. She taught me how to take care of my body during the week and gave me gentle exercises that I could do. She helped me understand how my attitude and emotions affect my pain level. I'm no longer needing pain meds. She loves and cares deeply about her patients, and she is personable, warm and funny! I was referred to Dr. Michael Hirsch about 5 years ago after living for far too many years with lower back issues. He listened, then he got to work. After all these years, I still go to him regularly for chiropractic adjustments. Rarely do I have major flare ups now, but when I do, he's there.
