Coffee and a book. Perfect spot.

Great addition to downtown Middleton. Coffee is always on point and though the shop is small, the vibes are great and they have a lot of outdoor space for the warmer weather. The staff knows their stuff, so don't be afraid to ask for suggestions!

Excellent customer service, great coffee, really cozy vibes, and delicious pastries. So happy to have another option in downtown Middleton!

Visited Vitruvius on a recent business trip. I usually don't post reviews, but Vitruvius was an exception. The coffee and service was great. Coffee was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The staff was friendly as well.

Madison's coffee scene is getting better in part by a coffee shop like Vitruvius! While the working space is limited here, their seating overflows out to their patio side and into the small community green spaces unique to Middleton. The space is well kept and accessible if that is something important to you. You're immediately greeted by a great team of individuals working here. The barista who made my drink fully sold me on what she enjoys making, but also their housemade strawberry syrup in the ceremonial grade matcha latte. While their wifi can be a little spotty, overall they offer a refreshing and original take on coffee. You can tell they hit the mark with quality, vibes, and building community.

Everyone here is so friendly! We came as a family and right off the bat, they were very kind as to point out the accessibility entrance for my boyfriend's father. Our order was kind of long because we were a big group, but they were very patient. The decor is bright and inviting (the yellow chairs outside are a fun pop of color). Bathrooms are clean and the pastries are amazing! They're fluffy, light and flaky. I also got two summer drink specials - the strawberry matcha latte and the Persian Blueberry refresher. The strawberry matcha latte definitely tasted like the fruit, even though I didn't see the syrup or puree! I loved both drinks and would definitely come back.

This place is relatively new and I've been watching it evolve over the last couple of months. Vitruvius has a lovely inside area with a great outside area... it's really quite lovely from an aesthetic perspective. The coffees were nicely made and quite good. They are using or were using on our visit Wonderstate beans. They have a nice pastry case as well. Bonus the outside seating area is dog friendly. This is a really nice addition to downtown Middleton

I love that you can see them prepare each of the dishes on the screens by the kitchen. excellent service as well, staff did a great job at taking away dirty plates/glasses and replacing accordingly. I also thought each round was spaced out well so that I was never waiting for too long or had too little time to eat. There was a blindfold round where we had to rely on just taste & touch to figure out what we were eating which was both silly and fun (we found out what we were eating at the end and got some more as a gift to go). my personal fav of the meal was the sun meadow chilean sea bass!!! the sun meadow oil is a perfect dupe of butter and melted straight into that sea bass, paired with crunchy capers on a bed of creamy whipped goodness. All of the sauces were done extraordinarily well, especially that under the braised leeks!!! the tuna tartare was my bf's fav - crunchy toppings with fresh tuna on avocado in a spicy, asian inspired sauce. we were less impressed by the raviolo and steak entrees but still good (the chili oil on the raviolo kinda threw me off). the intermission was nice as a brief break to shop around and purchase things at a discount. overall, pricy meal but definitely a whole experience (3 hours long that is!). would highly recommend trying this out if you also enjoy fine dining experiences. I personally wanna come back to try their wednesday night burgers soon!!

The restaurant leans…read moreheavily into the idea of dining as an experience, leaning into the European way of dining - that is, you have the table for the night." Think dining as the entertainment and the social experience, not shoveling it in and table turnover for tips. With creative presentations, themed courses, and a strong emphasis on sensory elements, the team puts a lot of thought and passion into crafting something unique. The multicourse meal offered a wide range of flavors and techniques--some dishes were genuinely impressive, others more about the concept than the taste. The pacing was smooth, and the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in making the night feel special. It's the kind of place where you sit back and let the experience unfold. That said, for me, it landed in the category of "worth doing once." The evening was fun and distinctive, but more of a special-occasion outing than a spot I'd return to regularly. If you enjoy immersive dining or want something out of the ordinary, it's definitely worth trying at least once.

The hotel as a whole feels small with low ceilings and narrow corridors. Our double-bed-room was on the first floor off of the lobby. To our surprise, it had a 'full' kitchen in there, with a large fridge, stovetop, and even a dishwasher. I suppose people could stay for lengths of time here? We spent very little time in our room, apart from sleeping, so the only thing that got use was the bed. Oh and the bathroom/shower, which were clean but certainly outdated. Bed was just fine, not uncomfortable, but perhaps some new pillows are in order. We had a few items from the breakfast bar in the morning--subpar food but does the trick if you're looking to get your fill. They had everything from potatoes, eggs, and sausage patties to yogurt and cereal. Pros: Free parking for guests, including underground heated options. Front desk staff was very friendly. And I'd say the best thing about this hotel is the location, as it's right within a big outdoor shopping/restaurant center. Walkable to plenty of places down the street.

This Staybridge was relatively close to Camp Randall and the reviews through Yelp seemed to confirm that this was a good hotel. Unfortunately that was not the case. Finding the hotel and securing a parking spot in the lot was easy, and check in was relatively straightforward. The clerk was friendly and provided the necessary information efficiently. Nice that the pool is open 24 hours, not that we ended up using it. The clerk also referenced a note about there only being one bed; which is fine since I reserved a room with just one bed... After check in we entered the hotel and noticed a smell in the hallway that my husband likened to a porta potty. The smell did not get much better when we entered our room; it smelled stale, as though the room had been closed up for a long time and just recently placed back into service. Perhaps that was the case given the hasty patch job we noticed above the shower in the bathroom. Speaking of the shower, the pressure was decent, which surprised me given how much water was still coming out of the bath faucet while the shower was running. Points for using the refillable bottles of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, but the bottles were not very full--good thing we weren't staying long! Also disappointing was how disgusting the fridge was. The outside of the unit looked like someone had shaken a can of orange Fanta, opened the can, and then walked away. Again, glad that we only spent one night here.
