Right up to my "final" pre-op, Emerson said the prognosis was great with 20/30 as a potential outcome. When the Fellow botched my eye, Emerson said it didn't have anything to do with who performed the surgery, because "Stephen, you're the unluckiest man in the world. He is fa\\and again I trust him. Yes the clinic is very busy and if they get an emergency it can delay things but on the other hand if I am the emergency I will be very glad if they can get me in . you do get to several different room if you need X-rays which I always do but only in frequently need the ones with dye to see the deep blood vessels. I can read on a computer with some adjustments and for that I am thankful. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful and Want the doctor knowledgeable and up to date.

Bring water too. 2) The doctor is very good but runs way behind. 3) The doctor moves fast so have your questions prepared-make sure he answers your questions to your satisfaction. 4) One staff person at the front desk is always rushed and seem very stressed out. Don't take it personally. Just stay in line so you won't get reprimanded. 5) Remember: you will not be seen on time, but you will be seen! Be patient, it's worth the wait.

That it will remove 100% of the floaters with the vitreous. However, post surgery, a Large floater still remains on the right side and is very annoying. When addressing the concern with Dr. Mittra, he replied that they can remove Central vitreious and can Not go all the way out to the edge, so there is some peripheral vitreous that remains. I was disappointed that he communicated that All floaters would be removed, and wished he had been upfront on what one can expect.

It turned out to be the worst medical experience of my life. The provider caused me significant pain and when I flinched from the needle in my eye, instead of perhaps adding more numbing drops he had his burly male assistant hold me down against my will, despite my repeated requests to stop. It was an absolute nightmare. He kept telling me I was doing fine, despite the fact that I clearly was not. It was a total disregard for my comfort, wellbeing and clearly stated wishes for him to stop. It felt like an assault, not a medical procedure. Run, do not walk, away from this practice.

My partner is 89 years old, has Parkinson's disease, uses a wheelchair a great deal of the time,…read moreand has severe macular degeneration. Of course we need the services provided. But must they be provided with total callousness. The waits in between eye drops were at least 2 x what we experienced at the Mpls. Veterans Eye Clinic. We started at 1:00 p.m. and at 4:00 p.m. were finished. One set of eye drops had to be repeated because they had worn off before the following set of evaluations were completed. My partner has had Avastin eye injections before. This one was administered at about 3:45 p.m. He said it was the most painful he has every experienced. When he said that the eye clamp was hurting they blamed him. No empathy. None. No consideration for the fact that Parkinson's Disease affects his ability to open and shut eyes independently. Not even an acknowledgement. I could overhear at least two patients asking about the wait. One set of elderly women suggested that if they come back that they bring their lunch. So, we waited three hours, as Charles got stiff in a wheelchair. We were told come early next time as patients pile up. Where is the clinic manager to manage patient flow. Where is bed or chair-side manner.

I called back in, and the same woman answered the phone and said sorry we need you to call your main office and get another referral somewhere else since you didnt pick that single date! what in the world customer service is this. Now i am on hold becuase i asked for a manager and I can tell the woman didnt want to get one, and is just sitting there not muted.
