A general, routine eye exam should not take up two hours of a patient's time…read more A patient also ought not be kept waiting alone in an exam room for 30 or more minutes after having the pupil dilation drops placed in their eyes, wondering when (or if) the doc is going to return to the exam room to finish the eye examination. During my appointment, after at least a 30 minute wait, I left the exam room to speak to someone at the front desk about the excessive wait time (who stated that the doc was with another patient), and then returned to the exam room. Magically, the doc re-appeared to the exam room almost instantly. No apology. This was my experience when I went for a routine exam last month. During this experience, I was reminded how much waiting time I encountered during my previous routine eye exam here a few years prior. It causes me to wonder why, when the office does not appear to be in the least bit "busy", a patient who has health care coverage via medical assistance, is subjected to excessive wait time. Certainly other patients would have expressed complaints about excessive wait times if they had encountered them.

Dr. Snyder performs a very thorough eye exam and always makes the time to thoroughly answer all my…read morequestions. I've never felt rushed -- which is very difficult to find in a healthcare setting these days. I'm extremely nearsighted and from the beginning he educated me about risks associated with this condition; especially retinal tear which is an eyesight emergency. Sure enough, I had one and got in with a retinal specialist the same day. (I can also highly recommend Retina Center [Dr. Vaughn Emerson] -- the referral Dr. Snyder gave me). Dr. Snyder also carries high quality, brand name, designer frames that his friendly staff do a great job helping me choose. (I have 'made in USA', State brand). They measure and help me find ones that are both stylish and fit my face. Figuring I use my glasses every day, it's worth getting really well-fitting and comfortable glasses! If you're looking for a great eye care provider, I highly recommend Dr. Snyder.

I have advanced age related macular degeneration. I trust Dr.Mitra and hope he outlives me and practices as long as I am alive as I would be. reluctant to replace him. He is fa\\and again I trust him. Yes the clinic is very busy and if they get an emergency it can delay things but on the other hand if I am the emergency I will be very glad if they can get me in . you do get to several different room if you need X-rays which I always do but only in frequently need the ones with dye to see the deep blood vessels. I can read on a computer with some adjustments and for that I am thankful. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful and Want the doctor knowledgeable and up to date.

Please keep in mind the following before using this clinic:…read more 1) There is no internet. With the long wait, bring your own reading material or x word puzzle. Bring water too. 2) The doctor is very good but runs way behind. 3) The doctor moves fast so have your questions prepared-make sure he answers your questions to your satisfaction. 4) One staff person at the front desk is always rushed and seem very stressed out. Don't take it personally. Just stay in line so you won't get reprimanded. 5) Remember: you will not be seen on time, but you will be seen! Be patient, it's worth the wait.

He is a dedicated doctor who is very experienced and knowledgeable. For my most recent appointment this week I saw Dr. Schwartz (spelling?). He was very thorough as well and explained things very clearly. He answered my questions and never seemed rushed. His manner was friendly and concerned. I have found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. The Stillwater office is beautiful. I highly recommend AEC (and have done so many times in the past. I made an honest mistake and showed up for an appointment that wasn't on the books. When I realized my error, I simply asked to quickly schedule a new one. The woman at the desk told me, "Sure, but I need you to step aside so I can check out patients." Excuse me? There were two desk staff members present and only one patient waiting behind me. Instead of the second person helping me or the first person taking thirty seconds to look at a calendar, I was told to move out of the way like I was a disruption. I have never been treated so rudely in all my life. To be told to "step aside" at a business where I am a loyal patient is a slap in the face. They clearly have no regard for patient retention or basic manners. They have officially lost my business permanently. If you want to be respected as a patient, go elsewhere!
