I've been taking my Global and Henckel knives to Vito for years. They do a great job at a reasonable price. The knives come home like new! Convenient free parking right outside the door which is nice in parking-challenged Walnut Creek. I have also bought manicure scissors from their display case because I keep having mine confiscated going through airport security and the scissors are of high quality as well. I've been using Vito's for over 30 years for sharpening knives, pruners, lopers etc. They do a wonderful job! However, a Google search for Vito's might bring up a photo of the business and statement in red "Permanently closed".....this is not true. The business cannot seem to get it corrected. read more

Vito's is the only place I will take my knives and other accessories to get sharpened and I have tried others. They can do it all - serrated knives, sheers, gardening tools, etc...I have tried other places and people and have been disappointed. I took a serrated knife once to a guy who works out of Diablo and the guy ruined it, however Diablo replaced it for me. Turns out the butcher shop at Diablo uses Vito's too. read more

I'm very frustrated with Vito's. My first impression after walking through the door was is this a daycare center for preschool children or is this the right place. I was just stopping in to save my wife some trouble and pick up her grooming blades, when I was given someone else's blades. I told the lady behind the counter I was picking up a 100 dollar tab for numerous blades and scissors and she said no this is it. Okay I said after a couple more "this can't be rights". After paying the fee I head home after a long day, but I find out that I have picked up someone else's blades, I return again 6 days later and get offered store credit for my 10 dollars in gas and 90 minutes of wasted time. "I guess I'll ask for first names next time.", Is my reward for bringing back someone else's clippers and saving them the embarrassment of their horrible customer service. I think my wife and I will spend the 30 dollars in gas and go to Stockton or Sacramento instead. read more
