Vito Merch (Grab a few) Holidays are near!

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Vito's with co workers for lunch and I have to say that from the second I walked in to the second I walked out I was treated with exceptional professionalism and service. As I approached the counter I was met with a bright smile from a young worker. She proceeded to ask what I would like and took my order while maintaining a smile. This is important and I believe she knew it. I ordered a small meatlover calzone that was prepared to the T. The dough was cooked to a perfect crisp which in turn helped all interior ingredients reach the perfect temperature for a perfect bite everytime. Thank you much! To the cooks we appreciate you guys and girls for the hrs spent in making sure all food is prepared to satisfaction EVERYTIME. Consistency is key! I am excited about my new hat purchase. The color is perfect. Thank you Vitos for being a great example of how day to day food service business should run. I hope to see you all again. Humbly Submitted, Andre Watts - Beigene

Very good pizza. Not the best and not the worst. The large pie is more like a medium. The sauce is a bit on the sweeter side and the crust is thin and crispy. They have other options on the menu that are all decent as well. You really can't go wrong with anything here. When I'm in the area it's my go to place but nothing to go out of the way for.

Cardboard circle sprinkled with cheese and tomato sauce....

When I moved back to Lawrenceville, the search was on to find a great pizza place. Vito's seemed to fit the bill. Lately, the quality of the pizza has gone down hill. Last night, we picked up what was basically a flat cardboard circle sprinkled with a bit of cheese and tomato sauce. This is completely unacceptable. I should have looked at it, but I was coming back from a trip and the family was hungry. We called it in, picked it up, and came home to this. I'm afraid the search is back on for a good pie.

Vito's Pizza at the corner of N. Main and W. Delaware in the heart of Pennington, NJ, looks nice enough and has friendly staff, but it failed to make a good first impression. I stopped in for a light dinner before crossing the river to home in Bucks. Great location and a decent layout for a pizza parlor. I just wanted to try their eggplant parmesan submarine and a slice of regular pie as an app. I found a seat at a small table in the dining room, and watched families coming in and out. Seemed like a wholesome crowd. I could see why Vito's was a popular place. It just may not have been my night, or I made bad choices, but my food wasn't what I hoped. The slice had good firm crust and a balance of sauce and cheese, but was overly salty. The eggplant looked great on the plate, with lots of melted parmesan cheese and red gravy atop that, all cradled in a toasted torpedo roll. My approach to big sammies is to go at them with fork and knife first, to clearly taste the contents and separately chew on the bread afterwards. I found the sliced nightshade heavily breaded to a thickness greater than the encased eggplant. Although sauteed, the coating had little taste, yet overwhelmed the intended star of the show. I couldn't taste anything but sauce and cheese. I took a bite of the roll. It was average, and not worth the calories. I felt the heaviness in my stomach for hours, despite consuming only half. Inauspicious beginnings.

I was meeting some friends for a bike ride on a cold January Sunday afternoon. After the ride, we stopped in Vito's for quick lunch. Vito's is clean and pleasant inside and has a lot of seating. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was pretty hungry and just went with two slices of the plain cheese pizza. The pizza had very good flavors and the crust was on the thinner side and crispy. It was a not the best pizza I have ever have ever eaten, but still very, very solid. Vito's has hot and cold sandwiches and some salads. It is a really good place to stop by when your in the area and want something fast but decent. Pennington is also a cool little town. 3.5 star for Vitos.

I'm not a big fan of their pizza but their Vito's special sandwich is hands down my favorite food ever. Great atmosphere also.

Great pizza, especially the old fashioned slice, and amazing cheesesteak. Been coming here for years. Top notch.

This was not true before .....ordering over the phone was a nightmare. And just before it closed, it had all it's little rumblings of problems and if you're a loyal customer of a business, you can see a decline or improvement and I could definitely see the decline here, but.... NOW I see how it has emerged as a fantastic sandwich place unlike anything else around here.... so even if you have other sandwich places you like.... you have to also like this one ....because nothing else is like it! You go in and they say hi ....everybody's laughing...There's lots of people interacting... a giant menu, which is fantastic and on the wall. Good prices and great bread.!!! ....really when it comes to a sandwich, bread is everything! Thank you, guys. I'm right around the corner and I'm at your door all the time. I'm very high maintenance. I'm very picky. So when I say you're good, you're good.

She said any of the Italians are good. Then she expanded that and said the rest was good too. I got the mild Italian. Got everything but no onions. Waited. Bout 10 mins then went back to the hotel. You can eat there but I chose not to. Nothing wrong with it. It's for a few tables and you can eat in. I opened it up. Smelled good and took a bit it was delicious. This sub was fantastic. Bread hearty but not too hard. Meat tender, peppers, lettuce and tomato just enough to complement the meat. Same with dressing. I got a small which was big but maybe I should have the medium. Looking for a light lunch today as the temperatures hovered in the mid 90's, we decided to give…read moreOsteria Procaccini a try. Upon entering the nicely cooled place, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by a window adjacent to the wood fire oven. This was our first visit. The room is very lively. Thankful we were seated in the corner which helped with the acoustics. With the dining room mostly full at lunchtime, it was difficult to hear my bride on the other side of the table. We were in no hurry so overtime, the place thinned out a bit and the volume subsided. Could be a real issue on a busy night. Might try the bar room side next time. (Some decorative acoustic ceiling tiles would greatly reduce the noise.) There were menu additions as well as a limited but decent selection of value wines. We decided on the Shrimp Mango Avocado Tower and a Shrimp Caesar salad and a bottle of Villa Antinori. The Shrimp Mango Avocado salad is one of the best salads we have ever had. Really. Blueberry, strawberry, arugula, candied pecans, feta cheese topped with a limoncello dressing and aged balsamic with a few grilled shrimp. Was hoping for more shrimp, but the salad is very filling. The interplay of the various flavors was very tasty and the wine was a good paring. The Shrimp Caesar salad was also very good. I loved the anchovie and dijon forward flavors with just the right amount of garlic. The homemade croutons with just the right flavor and crunch. The pace was perfect. Server (manager?) was attentive but not overbearing. We had a nice relaxing and delicious light lunch. Exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back to try the pizza and some desserts.

I've heard good things but they did not hit it out of the park for me. I have dietary preferences that I found very hard to make work here. I had looked at the menu beforehand and identified two options that would work for me. The crispy wings and the burger. It turns out I could try neither of those options as they were out of both. It's a Wednesday dinner service and the restaurant was empty so imagine my severe disappointment. I ended up getting a Caesar salad which was fine but let's be honest a Caesar salad is lettuce, cheese, dressing and croutons. There was nothing to write home about with this one. The other three members of the group got pizzas. Here comes the next disappointment - it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come out. There were only two other tables with people so I cannot understand why it took so long. All this to say I waited almost an hour for my sad plate of lettuce, which was not my first or second choice. I was annoyed and still left hungry. The rest of the group seemed to enjoy their pizzas, but I will not be returning.
