A few weeks ago I did a review for Vitex. It was one star....they read the review reached out and truly wanted to know what went wrong. But it didn't stop there they took on each issue and addressed the fix, made the consultative recommendations I had been looking for originally . The person spear heading this customer care was Jenna. She listened, she talked to management , she took the time to hear me , to guide the project, tie in the top technical talent in our home. A gentlemen by the name of Rico who spent the time to understand our home, acknowledge what was wrong and consult to provide the best solution that truly provided us the security and usefulness we thought we were originally going to get. Night one we had a bear visit our home and the new cameras and placement gave us the safe feeling we needed! Jenna went above and beyond as did vitex management and the in home tech to make our experience what we had hoped it would be! We felt heard Thank you! read more

Uxari Vitex installed our system and in less than 5 months one of the camera's failed (the camera was under warranty).. I diagnosed over the phone with Uxari Vitex and the camera was the issue. They then charged me for a service call to send out a tech to diagnose the issue as being the camera, which we had already conducted over the phone. Also, they sent the tech out without a replacement camera. They were then going to charge me to send out the tech to replace the camera. This could have been resolved in the first visit. I had to escalate and debate that they did not stand behind the quality of the systems they are selling. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere. read more

I had four speakers and pre-wiring completed by them through Taylor Morrison building. I also had pre-wiring done for internet access points. Here was my experience. The speakers are models that are 10 years old. I only received three of them. The cover to one speaker fell out of the ceiling​, lea​ving a bunch of insulation on my carpeting. There was no speaker with it. I also had a different speaker fall out of the ceiling, and it's currently hanging in my living room. I just got off the phone with them and I'll give them credit for at least coming out today to fix the fallen speaker. However they won't issue me a refund for​ the missing speaker. ​ I used a different company (Upfront Technologies from Sarasota) to connect all my audio, and they gave me new speakers for free, since I gave them a lot of business and they felt bad for me about the missing speaker. They were awesome. They also set up my access points and told me the wiring was done incorrectly by vitex for the access points. Up front Technologies was willing to fix it for me for free. Also, I tried three different times to use Vitex for outside lighting, but they refuse to not charge $20 a month for a maintenance plan. Who needs a maintenance plan on outside lighting? I still haven't gotten the lighting, but I'll definitely be getting it from a different company. I would stay away from Vitex. ​ read more

Well, where to begin? I'll start with the present, 1star rating. I have this security system with keypad. Cut to the purpose of this, frustration aside. Keypad fell apart. Called to ask how to reassemble or if they could send a tech out to fix or let me purchase, or at worst reinstall a new keypad. The answer I got was yes,,, BUT I would need to pay quite a bit of money to do that AND do a 3 year monthly fee contract for monitoring for quite a bit more money??? Really? When I think there are so many other self monitoring systems out there, or no contract monitoring month to month, that seems a bit ridiculous. SO I asked what about a month to month cancel anytime monitor? Nope, that was not an option. Just a year then? Nope. I know they do offer yearly as I've had one in the past. So yes, now I have a security system with no keypad. Time to shop better options. Way to encourage business elsewhere, VITEK. read more

We had existing service with Vitex. They called and required an upgrade because we had a 3G card in our system. We were away for the season and arranged for our home watch to meet them for the upgrade. The panel wasn't properly installed onto the wall and at a later while we were still away the panel fell off the wall and broke. When returned I discovered it was broken I called for service and they said it would be $109 for the first 30 minutes since it was more than 1 month since it was installed. That's terrible service - do a poor installation and then charge the customer to return. If I wasn't locked into a contract I would be looking to change providers read more

Well thank goodness that Vitex has EXCELLENT installers. Very pleased with Lenny ( July 10) and Jim W ( July16-17). Prompt, knowledgeable, good communication skills, and covid manners intact. THEY GET 5 !!!!! Now if only the sales department could get their act together. Kevin Kitchens found discounts that would upgrade our system to 5 G, provide a new panel and contacts, and keep our motion camera and z lites working for only $637. If that sounds too good it was! Informed after the old system was removed that neither the lights nor camera were compatible, but easily rectified for another $750. Kevin was loud and lied about his original offer. Shane was great and got me a $99 discount. Dillon tried his best and got us a free z switch. Brandon the manager approved both. Evidently this was only if we purchased 2 additional z switches and a new camera ( remember $750). Although our position was that this 'bait and switch' was illegal and we ought not pay anything- we agreed to take their peace offering and leave out the other 2 switches. Dillon said he'd get back to us and that's when I knew the offer was once again off the table. Four days and numerous calls later, Brandon only allowed us the $99 discount and the $40 credit from the return of a motion sensor. We could apply this to the new motion camera ($129) and a zswitch $159. I agreed to the cost ($149). Dillon passed this on to Shane to write it up. But final approved pricing had the camera at $189 ( an added $60 to screw it in) and there was a $40 visit fee. ( notice that difference comes exactly to my $99 discount)!!!! When I spoke with Shane about this, he removed the device call fee since I had already paid for it on the 10th. This company is ruthless in its ability for bold lies, and manipulation. They procrastinate resolution because the know you're on a deadline to leave town. We are just shocked that area managers like Brandon are unaware of how much money was wasted in the man hours that were used in this resolution. For an additional $100 this could have been settled three days earlier and resulted in a satisfied customer! Serious retraining needed in customer service! Super scam. When you are ready to cancel, make sure you call, email, put it in writing with return receipt requested, maybe visit them in person or all of the above or they will keep billing you until the end of time. I sold my home last March - called in and asked to transfer the service to the new owner. I had purchased a 3-yr plan that still had almost 2 years on it. The rep said to change the admin on the account to the new owner and then they would get a notice to either renew or cancel. So I followed those instructions. Turns out to be a huge mi$take. Uxari billed my credit card a couple of weeks ago, I called back in to basically ask wtf and they said I needed to submit a cancellation form and that I would continue to be billed until they received that form. Thank goodness I never actually needed the security service; otherwise if this is any indication of how they service customers, I can only imagine what would have happened if emergency services had actually been needed. read more

I want to start by saying this review changed from 1 to 5 stars specifically because of the customer service I received since my initial review. Let me write about my experience since writing my original review. I received a phone call from one of the owners within 12 hours. That let me know that they not only monitor customer feedback but they take it seriously. Additionally, the regional manager contacted me AND was hands on throughout the remainder of the process. I was at the point where I was ready to go back to my original provider but the team (and specifically the regional manager - Lorenzo and installer - Demetris) ensured all my home automation needs where met and questions were answered - both deserve a tremendous amount of credit. As for the original salesman...I recognize that there could be bad days and I'm confident that the company will take my comments and ensure training is provided. I would definitely recommend Vitex given the outstanding leadership that's a part of this company. read more

This review is about the technician that visited our home and set us up. But from the onset, the order was made, the appointment was set up in a timely manner, like any other phone order would be. Then the time came for the installer to come. Here in South Florida we expect that "No good deed comes unpunished". The technician rang the doorbell, I answered at exactly 9 AM. From the get-go, she introduced herself with ID. Mercedes was her name, we were "Sir and Maam, or Mr. B and Mrs. B" She cleanly and quietly did her hook ups and than like we were amazed at the manner in which she performed her job, from the installation to the explanation without taking a break. Every ingress was checked for pinpoint accuracy, from the alarm to our cell apps. She was so nice, clean, smart, sweet, and professional. We are extremely happy. Note to her employers: She IS the face of your company, she should teach cadres of employees to be her. Don't lose her!!!!! And most of all THANK YOU!! read more

They put in a system in my home in 2017 using 3G wireless technology. It was outdated upon installation. Background: In 2012 Verizon hinted at discontinuing the 3G and in in 2016 Verizon put a fixed date of Dec.31, 2019. In mid 2019 the date was extended to the end of 2020. Now these guys want to purchase a whole new system and pay for installation of equipment after installing known obsolete equipment. read more

Had a new build in which I purchased a whole smart house equipment package. I also added prewiring for my house for every window because we had planned to put automatic shades on every window. Well, we had a small hiccup in the placement of window shade prewiring but they reached out almost immediately and had a tech come out and fix the issue free of charge. I am a happy Vitex customer because I know they actually​ really care about their customers. read more

We recently built a new home and wanted to include a security and automation system. Vitex was referred by a friend and we are pretty happy with the system and their service. The rep ran us through all the options (the system is capable of a lot more than we needed) and we picked-and-chose what we wanted including basic security/cameras, thermostat and we put a few lights on the system. Once we finished a plan, we got on the schedule for install and everything went smoothly. Since the install (it's been almost a year), we had one small issue which support resolved very quickly for us. I will say too that the system is easy to use and my wife is stoked because she can check in on her precious cats every day. In all seriousness though, great system and great company to work with. Two thumbs-up from us. read more

This company is awful in customer service. I have been trying for 4 years to get them to change my batteries, for which I have paid a huge sum of money, and no one seems to call and service their customer, me! I paid a premium to have them service my equipment. When I installed my AV system they sold me equipment that they stopped servicing the next year and left me hanging with new equipment that no one would service. What a brilliant business move. It pains me to give them one star but the install went well when we built the house. read more

They called and sent a technician to ensure the system was operating at what I expect for the money paid. The sales department needs to have a better understanding of what the customers needs are in order to provide the service they actually need, basic sales education would tell the sales associate to find the need beneath the need. But the technician side of the house is incredible and makes the situation much better to deal with! read more

Just had my sky bell serviced today by Juan and Will. They were very informative and were able to educate me on the issues. In the end I needed to just get a new sky bell as there was humidity build up. Will be waiting to get my new doorbell and video cam in next few weeks. We had our 10 year old security system upgraded to the Vitex package today. David, the installer, did a great job. Personable, friendly and very knowledgable about about the system. He had a trainee with him and I noticed how well he was doing the training. Very patient and explained what to do in detail. Everything worked well after start up. The only exception was that connecting our smoke alarms to the call center was not on our order. I assumed that would be part of the upgrade, so it never came up on the phone conversation where I scheduled the work. So, they will have to return to install the necessary sensor (didn't have one on the truck). All in all, a good ordering and technician experience. A good company to deal with. read more

Vitex offers many services including home security system, home automation / networking, and window blinds. I have had all three from them and have been satisfied only with the window blinds; their other services have been poor. After initial installation, one of the new ceiling mounted home theater speakers did not work. Their home security system is so antiquated that arming the system upon departure requires SEVEN keystrokes! I have had false alarms from the home security system for the past 7 months and it is not yetrepaired. They say someone will call back but no one ever does. Now they want to charge me for repair work because they say the security system is no longer under warranty. DO NOT USE VITEX! There are many alternative providers for the same types of services that will deliver much better quality products and support services. read more

Didn't mind them at first had the house built with there security system installed worked fine in beginning. Had some small issues over time and had them come out multiple times. When their products finally failed they made up ecxuses to not have them fixed. I would avoid spending money on their products and buy something that has better quality. read more

Sonos system took a awhile to get set up. The techs are not equivalent and service is slow. Watch out for 3 year contract on Security System. Get a yearly contract. Accounting is not reliable for making one aware of monthly charges and compilation of cost of all systems bought. Poor communication. Defective parts not replaced for 3 weeks until I called and complained. 2 business friends cancelled the security system in the last 2 months. read more

We own a brand new home. We have VITEX home automation since Feb 2015. After 2 month of use, VITEX Home Automation system broke down. We couldn't set our alarm. Good thing, it is still covered by 3 month warranty and technician came to replace the WHOLE SYSTEM after only 2 month of use. Apparently, the system placed in our house was NOT brand new. We were encouraged to buy a special VITEX SMOKE DETECTOR for almost $200 on Feb 10, 2015. After 6 months , smoke detector is broken. Alarm.com is giving us notifications that the Smoke alarm is "MALFUNCTIONING". We called the company to complain. But because 3 month warranty is over, we are asked to pay $99 for the first 30 minutes that the technician is here to fix the smoke detector. Tell me, how can a smoke detector attached to a 10 foot ceiling of a brand new home break after only 6 months of use. Nobody has touched that smoke detector after it was installed. There was never a fire or smoke inside our house. We are so disappointed with their customer service. read more

I recently purchased a new home. I had the entire home automated and alarm installation courtesy of VITEX. All the prewiring was done and installation was smooth. All contact with the company has been nothing but pleasurable. From sales with Kevin to my initial install with Dave and his team everything went great. I had significant issues getting the cameras to work properly and ultimately Everett and juan came to fine-tune everything. They were fantastic. I can't say enough about them and the time they took to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect. Customer service is obviously at the forefront. Recently we requested service regarding a malfunctioning landscape light that was installed last December 2016. The installation cost with labor was $120 (this was an additional light to the previously installed lights). This time however we are charged for $189 for a bulb change that was not not supposed to go out in 9 months. We are told the warranty (not sure for what) is for 90 days only. Additionally, the replaced bulb gives weaker light than the other ones we have. No invoice/receipt was emailed after 3 days of service. read more

This company is horrible. They are expensive and can't get anything done the first time. Customer service is horrendous, no customer service. You call them and they don't answer , if they do , they lo tell you that someone will call you so they dont have to make an appointment to come out to the house and then they don't call you. My complaint is not about the technician who did our installation. My complaint is about the moving parts of this company that are not in sync with each other. MISCOMMUNICATION #1 The salesman set me up with a Dec 7th installation date in early November and I coordinated internet installed prior to this date (new construction). The salesman forward my email that Dec 7th was good-to-go between 8-12. On Dec 7th at 11am I called to find out our status. Apparently, the email was forwarded to the scheduling office and they never EVER followed up to schedule Dec 7th 8-11. MISCOMMUNICATION #2 I get a call later on the 7th for an install of Dec 15 between 1-4pm. Given their huge error and our $4000 install I think they could have done better than that. The installer showed at 4pm and left at 8:30pm. He was told it was a small install. 4.5 hrs is a small install? MISCOMMUNICATION #3 When we arrived at our new home and cable/internet installed, I noticed a small black device with two small cords. I thought the cable guy left it behind so I moved it over to another counter in the laundry room. Turns out this was a key piece of equipment the installer needed. How much effort would it have taken for someone to have written "for Vitex installer". I could have tossed this piece of equipment in the garbage. Sales doesn't followup with scheduling, scheduling doesn't look to see the amount of work needed to properly convey time required. I wasn't happy the installer was here until 8:30pm anymore than he could have been. read more

Juan is amazing. I stopped him on the street to talk to him about my yard sign and my truck inability to get it to stay put or intact. He was busy working on another house and then took the time once done there to help me out. I can't thank him enough because as silly as it may seem, the sign is important to me.
