They took the time to understand our style, offered thoughtful design guidance, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. The product selection is beautiful and well curated -- much more interesting than the big box stores -- and the installation was done by their own crew, which really showed in the quality of the work. Everything was installed on schedule, communication was clear throughout the process, and the finished result exceeded our expectations. It's rare to find a company that combines great design sense, excellent craftsmanship, and strong customer service, but D. Allen Flooring truly delivers on all three. My 16-year-old lanai screen was deteriorating and holes were appearing. To make matters worse, the…read morebuilder of my upstairs condo unit (rhymes with Toll Brothers) had installed the original screens backward, which left the pickets on the outside and therefore impossible to wipe off. Furthermore, I had installed electric hurricane shutters inside the lanai, and there was no way to replace the screens without taking down the shutters, resulting in a labor charge several times the cost of just replacing the screens. Jeremy from Ace analyzed my situation and decided the best course of action was to replace the deteriorated aluminum frames and pickets with new material, reassembling everything in the correct orientation, all for little more than I would have paid in labor to take down and put up the hurricane shutters. I now have a beautiful new lanai screen that I can easily keep clean, and future re-screenings will be a breeze. I can't thank Ace enough for providing fast, dependable service at a fair price.

My sales person Franz was wonderful and helped me tremendously both with selection and follow up…read more My reason for only 3 stars is the fault of the phone system and issues with the final installation. During the life of this project I've been unable to call scheduling. The phone rings, you get a recorded voice telling you no one is available, and the call disconnects. When you call customer service, you're on hold for several minutes and then you get to leave a message (but no one ever returns the call.) The sales service is great! Especially Franz; I was able to reach scheduling by going through him. I hated putting him in the middle but he always came through. During installation they had to disconnect the plumbing (obviously) but apparently it's not part of the service to reconnect it. I was unaware of this little glitch and Franz scheduled a plumber for the next day to re-connect everything. Unfortunately, during installation the installers did not leave us all the faucet parts and the plumber had to make a surprise trip to Home Depot for parts that should have been left on site. It seemed like one problem after another. I don't know what I would have done without Franz to make things right. So... sales team 5+ stars, phone system and installation, maybe 2 if we stretch it. Make sure to ask for Franz and make sure you have a full and complete understanding of what is and isn't included.
