Do you have any idea how difficult it is to change a first impression? Let me tell you (OK, I won't) about how *much* I disliked my initial experience with Vitex and our new smart home - all because of one of our first salesmen. That said, ROBERT (as well as some other techs over the past year or so) significantly changed that first impression. Robert was the first tech, however, to go WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND when he added power and a lanai camera for us last week, as well as updated our ACE Module. Robert knew just when to ask another tech (Tim) for assistance (when crawling around in our rafters) rather than leaving us in the lurch. Robert was friendly yet efficient. No wasted words, but willing to listen and he was responsive. Robert even remedied the train wreck inside our hub cabinet using only zip ties! One of the most important things to me is getting solid response and help when I need it - and having a feeling our home security needs have been met. Do Not do business with UXARI, Had several customer related issues with them around 8 weeks ago their customer service was terrible to begin with and as a customer since March of 2021 was very surprised how bad they have gotten, 1st. in order to resolved a technical issued we had to pay a service aggreement even to get service support of $30. a month which we said no , 2nd. they came to service "of course another fee for the service call and another charge for the panel new battery" our alarm panel due to changing our internet and in order for us to get the new alarm panel it will cost $500. outright or $380. but be forced to a 36 months contract we opt to keep the old panel since we felt that as a loyal customer it was very concerning all these fees and nickel and dime from Uxari, well we did write a concern here on YELP and guess what they call us every day until they said NO PROBLEM we will do the new panel for $380. and no 36 months service agreement but take the YELP review down, so we did take it down and then ZERO No calls No service call to come and install the new panel ZERO almost 7 weeks later and nothing from Uxari they jsut wanted us to take the review down and is business as ussual for them.... now they call and said they want for us to pay for the technical service agreement of $30+ tax a month for 12 and sent us a bill for $385.. they are making it very obvious how money desperate they are.... We will NOT do any more business with them once our contract end in March since we have always paid them ahead for a full year service... read more

Beware of Bob Stambaugh. He is an unscrupulous and dishonest salesman selling to the Del Webb Catalina community in Lakewood Ranch. We purchased some equipment from the builder Pulte, removed it right after we closed on the house, and now he is saying we are responsible for a 36 month contract which we never signed. Unreal. I have been very disappointed with my experience with Uxari and Vitex. If I could give them zero stats I would. It started when they sold me an under the driveway trench and conduit for low voltage lighting. They missed the deadline with the contractor and then told me they could not trench under the driveway but would run the wire all the way around my house. Cancelled my order for outdoor lighting and am still waiting on my refund. Then Xfinity came to install cable and WiFi but there was no low voltage cable for him to attach to. He went ahead and installed cable box next to where the low voltage line was suppose to be. When the Vitex workman finally came to install a coaxial cable, he hung it on the other side of the breaker box and away from where cable was suppose to be. Now I have three feet of exposed wire running across the side of my house. I contacted Pulte warranty company to contact Vitex to come and correct the issue and have now waited nearly two weeks for them to respond to the warranty company or me! I have added pictures of the shotty work. Unacceptable! I do not recommend using this company if this is how they treat their customers! read more

I called Uxari for help changing my door code and was given a date and a time frame of 9am -12 pm to meet at our home in Lakewood Ranch. No contact had been received by 11 am so I called to check as I had a doctor's appt at noon. The clerk said the tech would not arrive for another hour so we needed to reschedule. Around noon, the tech called me to ask where I was! He said he had been told the appt was at noon to 1pm. I would not have agreed to that schedule because of my pre-existing appt at noon. So what to believe? The company has issues with scheduling, it is clear and my morning was wasted. To add insult to injury, they charged my credit card for the visit! WARNING: Spent thousands of dollars with this company setting up TV's and sound systems. Tech suggested I sign a service contract in case there were any problems. I now realize I don't need this service and tried to cancel. Will not let me cancel. Says you signed a 1 yr. contract and we don't care if you don't need the service we are going to charge you anyway. TFB!! Feel like this co. is stealing $31.79 from me monthly. Daniella Cabrera was the lady that called me and she was so understanding of what was going on and she assured me that a tech will be out today to solve my problem. Now I must say the customer service I received from Daniella Cabrera changed my mind about the customer service I received from her. I will respond to the email she sent me because she wants to know how the tech did today and I will save her email if I ever have any problems in the past. This company Nickles and dimes and doesn't respond to emails. I've been requesting email bills for months. Have written to the higher ups, NO RESPONSE. Frustrated and half way through contract, so I can't get out without paying. When you need help, you need to pay. Other alarm companies include technical service calls or visits included. On a regular basis, I have to disconnect my keypad from the wall. Unplug the battery, unplug the main unit. Plug it back in and put it back on the wall. If the batteries go bad in any sensor or keypad, buy your own. read more

Well thank goodness that Vitex has EXCELLENT installers. Very pleased with Lenny ( July 10) and Jim W ( July16-17). Prompt, knowledgeable, good communication skills, and covid manners intact. THEY GET 5 stars. !!!!! Now if only the sales department could get their act together. Kevin Kitchens found discounts that would upgrade our system to 5 G, provide a new panel and contacts, and keep our motion camera and z lites working for only $637. If that sounds too good it was! Informed after the old system was removed that neither the lights nor camera were compatible, but easily rectified for another $750. Turns out the z switches that I had paid for in 2017 and was told were incompatible then, are required now. Kevin was loud and lied about his original offer. Shane was great and got me a $99 discount. Dillon tried his best and got us a free z switch. Brandon the manager approved both. Evidently this was only if we purchased 2 additional z switches and a new camera ( remember $750). Although our position was that this 'bait and switch' was illegal and we ought not pay anything- we agreed to take their peace offering and leave out the other 2 switches. Dillon said he'd get back to us and that's when I knew the offer was once again off the table. Four days and numerous calls later, Brandon only allowed us the $99 discount and the $40 credit from the return of a motion sensor. We could apply this to the new motion camera ($129) and a zswitch $159. I agreed to the cost ($149). Dillon passed this on to Shane to write it up. But final approved pricing had the camera at $189 (an addition of $60 to screw it in )and there was a $40 visit fee. ( notice that difference comes exactly to my $99 discount)!!!! When I spoke with Shane about this, he removed the device call fee since I had already paid for it on the 10th. This company is ruthless in its ability for bold lies, and manipulation. They procrastinated, knowing we were leaving town and needed this settled. We are just shocked that area managers like Brandon are unaware of how much money was wasted in the man hours that were used in this resolution. For an additional $100 this could have been settled three days earlier and resulted in a satisfied customer! Serious retraining needed in customer service! I purchased a new home and had Uxari and Vitex install all of the security, uplighting, speakers and sound system, and cameras. The installation and quality of the product are excellent. However, the customer service and how they tie you to service and maintenance fees is awful and may violate consumer protection laws. Here's why: For uplighting on my landscape, they charge you for the labor and materials. Fine. They make you sign a maintenance contract. You pay a fee every month for semi-annual maintenance. Fine. But when the lights don't work and you request service, they will charge you a fee to get phone help, they will charge you a fee for someone to come out, and then they will charge you a fee for however long it takes to fix the lighting. They lead the consumer to believe the monthly maintenance fee covers service calls for the failed equipment that you thought was covered under the maintenance contract. It begs the question what the maintenance fee covers. This is very sketchy business practice in my opinion. Add insult to injury, when the consumer wants to cancel the contract because the maintenance fee is not what was sold, they charge you for the entire contract amount. This was my recent experience and the female manager could not have been less accommodating on the phone. I'm very disappointed in the company. Luckily I fixed the issue and canceled the service call and my maintenance contract. I'd rather pay someone else more to fix any future issues than deal with a company I feel is not dealing straight with me. read more

This company has excellent service. I have several products which I can access remotely from my computer, laptop and even my phone! I am able to "peep" in anytime, to check on my kids and animals. I also have the ability unlock my door when I pull up into my house. Which makes it easy when my hands are full. I have had other services in the past, with different providers. So far I am extremely disappointed with this company. I live in a new home, in a new community and have had a system installed. I have been trying to contact the company for weeks ( 1st call mid December) to have upgrades done to the home. You would think that I current customer wanting to spend more would be someone you call back. After calling several times, I was assured a call back and after two weeks and more calls I finally got someone to call me back. After being told I was important, I still have to wait a week to have someone come out. I have asked to speak to a sales manager and have been let down again. Since I know several neighbors moving into our community in brand new homes, I will be letting them know where not to go for home security.
