We found some Ghirardelli chocolates there that we couldn't pass up. His creme brûlée variety turned out to be slightly better than my dark chocolate choice. The t-shirts were a total disaster. They'd been rifled through and were a mess. Most of the other parts of the store weren't too much in disarray, however. And they had a lot of merchandise. We only saw one staff person. This store had a cashier checkout instead of the usual self serve stations in many other Five Below stores. She was pleasant. We asked her if all of these stores were going to switch back to cashiers and she explained that it depends on the store. Glad we stopped by. We'd be back if in the area.

But you will have to look, and look, and look for things that are modern and stylish. Lately, I've found some DKNY, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors, etc. really nice brands. They are going to be higher prices but nothing crazy. Nothing over $30. I must say compared to other box clothing stores with a similar vibe; Bealls outlet wins hands down. They are the most affordable. The lines are hardly ever long. The store is always neat, clean and organized. The selections come in every week so there is always new merch. We were in the area of the Wellington Mall today, so I decided to stop by. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I've been to several other stores recently -- including Macy's and Nordstrom's Rack and a couple others -- and this Dillard's turned out to have the most selection of dressy dresses of any of the stores I've already visited. I was able to browse at my leisure. The dresses were grouped together which was a big advantage. And I actually found six different dresses to try on. Unfortunately, I didn't fall in love with any of them, so I didn't buy anything. However, I felt this trip here was more than worthwhile. I'm narrowing down what I like and what I don't in all the options available. Prices here were quite good, too. There was a variety of price ranges, but nothing was outrageous. My office is a few miles down the street so I popped in during lunch to see if they had any cool t shirts. They did not so I strolled around the store and could not believe my eyes. I literally had to step over stuff to get through the aisle. It looked like there were shelves of stuff scattered around the floor.
