I was surprised because of the shopping center it is located in which has had some ups and downs. The store was organized and neat. And it had all the latest styles and some very good holiday sales. I saw quite a few things I liked. And I wound up buying a new designer top that I fell in love with -- for a ridiculously low price. I'm going to have to shop here more often. So glad I came.

And amongst some of the cheaper items, there are some designer names mixed into the rest of their stock. You can sometimes find a bargain in their clearance stuff, but again, it's hit and miss. I do like to check at one of their stores now and then, however, as their stock changes pretty regularly. I really wasn't looking for anything particular this time but browsing to see if anything appealed. And to walk off a bit of my dinner nearby. This store was huge. And it had all sorts of departments within it. I'm more familiar with their outlet stores which are much smaller and compact. I needed a replacement purse so that where I went first. They had some clearance sales going on which was an added incentive. I actually found two possibilities right away and wound up purchasing one, I didn't explore the entire store -- just mainly the jewelry, accessories, and shoe departments. These were all close together. So I found something I needed and it was not only priced well, but was a name designer, too. It's good to know I have an alternative to my usual haunts.

We signed up years ago when we used to go to Cocoa Beach every July 4th weekend and there were two large stores (one for women and one for men) that we found ourselves stopping at each time we were in town. In fact, my husband used to find bargains here in the men's section -- shorts and shirts on sale at ridiculously low prices. Prices and stock have changed a bit over the years, however. I wanted to stop by as I had a 20 percent discount coupon that I'd received via email to use during my birthday month. Although I haven't had much luck at Beall's with ladies clothing, I have had some luck in their accessories department. I looked through their cosmetics. I looked through their purses. There were some big-name designer ones at a huge discount. The Kate Spade purses were lovely although not my style. And I looked through the shoes -- as I've purchased some Tommy Hilfinger sandals in the past that I wore for years. I wasn't that successful. I wound up buying a small item in their health and beauty section. My husband found a great set of Wi-Fi headphones (that he's already used). Because of the small size of the store, it's not stocked as full as a WalMart or Target but you can find clothing, small appliances, baby items,toys, pet items, perfumes, accessories, and home decor here. Despite the fact it was the Saturday before Christmas when I shopped here, the line to check out moved very quickly. The cashier was also pleasant and very helpful. Will be back.

I do think one can still score some great deals here but the layout has changed and not for the better. It doesn't have the same vibe it once did. Obviously, it's a step down from Nordstrom but the same level of charm and customer service was offered long ago and I don't see this nowadays. Granted, the majority of cashiers who've assisted me are lovely but it's simply not the same level of customer service as in the past. I'm also not a fan of the hoardersville impulse items near the registers - giving off the Marshalls & TJ Maxx vibes but not the same prices. Love those stores, not hating but it isn't what old school Nordstrom Rack aesthetic offered. If we are junking it down, go ahead and decrease the prices too. On brighter notes, one will save 5% off their purchase if they're a Nordstrom cardholder and online purchases can easily be returned both at the Rack and Nordstrom at the mall.

The store is very well stocked and fairly well organized. The restrooms are spotless and checked every hour. Great and productive visit for me today.

While traversing the grocery side there was an audible alarm going off in the back stock area. Sounded like it was coming from a restricted area but no general concern to quell it was noticed.

We parked near the entrance, but as always what we needed were in two very opposite corners of the store. There's no one around to help or assist, so basically you wander -- getting in more steps than you'd need in a week! They did have three of the four items on my list so that was a plus. This isn't in an area where we normally shop, but came up on Yelp as the closest Walmart to where we had had lunch. I don't think we'd go out if our way to come here, but if in the area, it's good to know it's here.
