Brisk breeze and rum and coke

This summer, visited friends out in the OC and we went down to Downtown Disney. It always brings the tourist vibe, and you feel like you are experiencing a little mini getaway. On this visit, we noticed a new renovated spot on the western side - just across from Din Tai Fung and next to the Downtown Disney stage. Parkside Market is a new food area with a coffee spot, a chicken spot, and a Korean food spot on the bottom floor. But the hidden gem is on the upper floor - Vista. This lovely open air eating space and bar area was perfect for our summer sojourns. We hung out there with our friends, and liked it so much we brought visiting family back again a few weeks later. Worth checking out if you are in the Downtown Disney District area.

Let me make one thing clear service is 5 stars. Deb did a great job. I did get a drink and the loaded fries. Portion size was on the smaller side which is fine they were $10. The waffle fries tasted stale and had no salt. Even the cheese and bacon could not help with the flavor of the stale flavorless fries. I got the bird of paradise drink which is a frozen pineapple and rum. It was very good and is served in a fun bird cup.

My bf and I wanted to go to every bar in downtown Disney and this one was the closest to Din Tai Fung. We came here after dinner for some drinky drinks and it was pretty empty, but we were excited to try out their cocktails. It was a new and clean bar that serves food too. My bf ordered the Smokey Sunset, but was given a Morning Mist--which was not good at all. The bartender that wasn't helping us was kind enough to exchange the undrinkable drink. He exchanged it for a Nightfall which was delish. I got a tequila pineapple lol. When it was time to pay, the original bartender that was helping us charged us for the wrong drinks, and once we corrected him, he still charged us for 3 drinks when we only had two. We asked them to correct it again but they refused. So it was whatever we paid for three drinks. We had fun at all the other bars at Disney tho!! This one you can skip LOL.

I think this is my new favorite place in DTD. Baby fell asleep while we were trying to leave Disneyland so we randomly came here and we had a great time looking over DTD and grabbing drinks. Elevator and stairs available. Drinks are yummy. Sparkling rose was just the perfect effervescence that I needed. A great pit stop in DTD to Hang out without any bother. Bar seating is full service. Wahoo!

Again we were greeted with Timmy who remembered my mom and I. He is an absolute joy to be around and has a way of making you feel happy. The ambience is incredible with lots of people watching you can do. The dumplings my mom had came out hot to order and she said they were delicious. Again Timmy is one of the best that there is. I'm sure he will bring a smile to your face and bring joy to your day just as he does with my mom and I.

Vista, above Parkside Market at Downtown Disney, is such a fun retro-style bar! It's not too crowded, the drinks are solid, and the vibe is super chill. They have a secret menu of tiki-inspired drinks named after the birds in the Enchanted Tiki Room--you just have to say, "Wake Up the Glee Club," and they'll hook you up. In addition to the Glee Club drinks, we got to try a couple of their seasonal Halloween drinks, which were delicious. You can even order food from Parkside Market and have it brought up to your table. Definitely a great spot to unwind after exploring the parks--or in between park hopping!

Great place to eat if you're looking for something to eat and you can't decide or agree on one thing. We walked upstairs and were told to sit where ever we want and they would come to us. They did bring us menus after a couple of minutes and water. You are able to order from the Sip & sonder, Seoul Sister, & GG's chicken shop, as well as beer and cocktails. We ordered a coffee flight from Sip & Sonder which had a great variety of lattes and a dirty chai. We also ordered bulgogi beef bowl from Seoul and the elote from GG's.. good food, good portions, great service, and such a great view in the evening ..

Great new spot at Downtown Disney just opened today! Super cute second floor full bar that serves the food from each of the first floor locations. Timmy was our bartender and the drink selections were adventurous. I had the golden hue - very tasty.

Steven @Vista never disappoints? His salted caramel espresso martini is delicious! A great jump start to your day or any time of day!

My husband and I were here during our weekly Disney day. I was recovering from surgery so I couldn't really do any of the 'thrill' rides at the park. We wandered into Downtown Disney because I hadn't seen any of the new spots that had opened recently. I had not even seen the Din Tai Fung in DTD yet. We had ordered food downstairs but I wanted to go upstairs to check it out. I'm glad we did because we found the 2nd floor bar called Vista, which is part of the whole Parkside Sip & Sonder. You can order food at the bar as well as drinks. I wish I would have known that instead of wasting my time with the rude personnel downstairs. The bartenders were really friendly. He took one look at our park attire and made a friendly quip. We sat down to look at the menu. He mentioned one of the beers tasted like Dole Whip. We asked for a small taster of it and it was good. The beer in question is the Tropical Hideaway by Bottle Logic. If you happen to find yourself here, try it! We ordered a pint of the Tropical Hideaway and my husband asked for a taster of the IPA, which he eventually ordered too. To round off the drinks, we ordered some waffle fries from GG's Chicken downstairs. They will apply the Magic Key Passholder discount to food here as well. We had a lovely respite enjoying our drinks on a warm February day. The bartenders were great. Vista is a solid spot for beers and they serve those fun froze drinks in souvenir flamingo glasses here too.

Vista is the best new place in Downtown Disney. If you're lucky, Timmy will be your bartender and mix up your newest favorite drink!

Came to try the drinks here after an Instagram video. We came on a Saturday night and the video had been didn't a slower time in the daytime. It was definitely packed - as downtown Disney often is. We were able to find a table for the two of us quickly though. Our server came and brought us menus. We ordered food from downstairs which came just as quickly as our drinks. I got the Mountain Breeze, which was a yummy hibiscus drink. My friend got the Smokey Sunset which she enjoyed cause she liked mezcal. I also got the Flashy Plummage which was very light and literally tasted just like watermelon juice. And then my friend got the Nightfall which is a pretty standard espresso martini (featuring Sip & Sonder Cold Brew from downstairs). It was a good drinks, a great meal, and a nice time. We sat inside but close to the open door of the patio where you could kinda hear the live music from outside. Which there was a happy hour so I could come back more often!

We ordered the ribeye, baked potato, mac and cheese and the bbq brisket pizza. Our meal was fairly priced and a pretty good value. I will say that parking can be tricky. After circling around for a while, we scored parking right in front of the restaurant on the sidewalk. Carve out extra time for parking.

The best thing about this place is the prices! Prices are absolutely reasonable and the food and drinks were solid. We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.
