As her power of attorney, I met with Elizabeth to see if Aegis might be a good fit for Joan since a few of her friends from the other facility had already moved over. I was very impressed with both the facility and the caring staff when she moved in and with the staff that have come since. Joan is happy here and grateful that the staff pays attention to her individual needs and wishes and that they are more available and do a more complete job than the previous facility. She feels comfortable and at home here and is very appreciative of all the amenities (i.e. the enrichment program and excursions outside the facility) and services that have been added recently, such as visiting dental care and Powerback rehab. For me, I really appreciate how Aegis weathered the COVID pandemic and maintained my connection with Joan by adding the outside space where we could meet, and taking such good care of her when I couldn't be there. Each unit has cords that can be pulled if they are having health issues or have fallen etc. When I accidental pulled the cord in my bedroom, two staff people arrived within 2 minutes to help me. I had visited at least 10 other senior facilities and then I found Murano. A one time fee of $40,000 is all you need to live there. You pay rent for your unit. The most expensive is $16,000 a month for a fantastic unit with views. Staff come once a week and clean the units. It is like living in a hotel, most everything is done for you. There are many activities, guest performers and speakers, and MUCH more!

My mother is 92 years old and was looking for a place to stay that could meet her needs now and as she ages further. She loved the apartment and the meal plan options, as well as the ability to meet others with so many planned activities. She also has a dog and is happy to be able to have her move with her. Billy and Andrea did a great job with a tour of the facility and carefully going over the contract agreements. Andrea was great relating directly with my mother to ensure she understood everything. Billy took extreme care to ensure my mother's needs were met and covered in every way. The welcoming was wonderful! We really appreciate the personal care both took in addressing my mother's needs and the concerns of her family.

Review of Cogir Queen Anne Assisted Living Community…read more Greetings! I almost never write reviews but I had to for Queen Anne Cogir. I can't say enough good things about this place. My Mom was in the assisted living building and I was constantly amazed at the level of care she received. Everyone was extra helpful and went out of their way to make sure she felt special. The "care team" members including house keeping established friendships with her and treated her as if she were their own mother. I can't remember all their names but I do remember Natasha and her sister (who was Natasha's supervisor) and Amena. Marnie Walker the Sales Manager was the one who helped us make the decision to choose Cogir Queen Anne and we never had cause to regret it. I'm not sure how the management has been able to assemble such a caring and positive staff. Everyone we dealt with (and I mean literally everyone from the front desk to the kitchen workers) was upbeat, happy and seemed to genuinely like their job. I compliment Ken Klotz Executive Director for cultivating such an inviting climate. Maria Crespo the Business Office Manager was always ready with a cheerful and caring attitude to help with not just financial issues but with anything else needed. Ernie Vigil the Health and Wellness Director manages always to make time for an informal chat and was a real blessing in answering any questions we might have and taking a personal interest in Mom's well being. We were wrong. We found it to be an intimate and very cheerful option with lots of options for public living for people like us who don't need lavish. They had the services we might need. The food options were nice. we also really liked the size and feel of the apartments. It was also comforting to know there was a memory care floor so if that should become necessary, one could stay in the same facility. We also loved that our pet would be welcome and could even get walks through them should that be necessary. It also seemed like there would be less red tape about moving in. It moved high up on our list of potential options.

My mother was recently at Aegis for a month on a respite stay. This was her first experience with…read moreassisted living, and I cannot express how impressed I am with the staff at Aegis. The first point of contact was Joan in Marketing; she was and remains compassionate, honest and has provided many resources for me and my family. She knew from day one that we would not be able to afford permanent residence, and she has assisted with everything from referrals to an elder law firm to placement agencies, as well as providing support and encouragement. My mom's stay at Aegis ended after Thanksgiving, and Joan has still been in contact with me to follow up on my mom's care. The staff: I really doubt there's a better staff anywhere. From the team at the concierge desk (Isumi, Bob, Paul, Ailie), to dining (Sarah, Jenn, Linda,...) to the wonderful care team (Democracy!! Tierra, Monique, Sharon, Kristen, Spencer, Anna, Cole, Alex,.... the list is endless!) and the life enrichment team (Susan! Vince!) and the security team, who I saw daily at 6 am. My mom was in such good hands, and it was plain to see that everyone was truly compassionate, that this was not just a job, but they really care and are compensated well for their hard work. The building is gorgeous, but this is mainly for the families to enjoy. The residents of course love being in such a beautiful home with all these amazing features (the theater! the belfry!), but what really counts is the care. After touring several other assisted living facilities, it was quite plain to see the difference. The Aegis staff truly cares. Yes, they're running a business, but they do not have itchy fingers and dollar signs in their eyes when meeting with you to discuss potential care costs, unlike several other well known assisted living facilities that I won't name. The cost is unfortunate as this really is unattainable for most, but I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone looking for the best place for a family member needing care.

My mother never consistently got the care we were promised (e.g., got one shower per month vs. 3 per week in the plan, almost never wearing her compression socks vs. paying to have these on each day). As well, as someone with dementia, she mostly sat alone in her room. During the sales process we were told how skilled the staff were engaging with dementia residents. We didn't see that after moving in, so would complain, we'd see temporary improvement, but always short lived. Staff turnover is high. There were many really great people that provided good care, but were quickly gone. Ultimately we moved her to an adult family home which was light years better and a fraction of the cost.

Their staff anticipate your needs, and check in with you to make certain that the job that they have done meets your expectations. In addition to being excellent at the tasks, they did, the two primary nurses assigned to me were exceptional people. They were bright, kind hearts, and were clearly in the right field.
