Half these caregivers had zero experience and some didn't even have the required licenses to care for my mom. Are you kidding me? I'm paying you to send qualified people, not random folks off the street who don't know what they're doing. This is my mother's safety we're talking about. I called management multiple times trying to fix this mess. Talked to some woman named Needy who gave me the most fake, corporate apologies I've ever heard. No solutions, no changes, just "sorry you feel that way" bullshit while nothing got better. This company took our money and provided garbage care that made my mom's life worse. When she did arrive, she spent much of her time napping or scrolling on her phone instead of providing care. She even vaped indoors while on the clock, which was completely inappropriate. Most concerningly, we discovered after the fact that she was operating with a "Closed" license status (DOH #HMCC.HM.61103597). The agency failed in its most basic duty to verify that their "certified" staff actually held valid credentials. During her time in our home, she crossed a serious boundary by soliciting our Social Security numbers and credit information to co-sign for her personal utility deposit. When we declined this inappropriate request, she made retaliatory false allegations against us. Despite having 24/7 surveillance footage that disproves her claims and documents her repeated neglect and policy violations, the Family Home Resource sided with her without reviewing our evidence. This experience raised serious alarms about their screening, oversight, and handling of complaints. We have since requested to be moved to a new agency and filed formal reports with the DOH, WA HCA, ATG, APS, Medicaid Fraud and the Division of Aging & Long-Term Care.

And then, one Monday when she was supposed to start her shift with me, she didn't show up. I had her cellphone number and called her, frantically. Nothing. No calls. No texts. The supervisor called and asked me how I was doing with M, on my new weekday shift. I was surprised and told the supervisor that M. had not shown up or called. I was worried that maybe she had been in an accident or something. SHE didn't call Family Resource ever again. She just quit. I was so upset! And then I went through caregiver after caregiver after caregiver. I told Family Resource that they had one more chance or I would jump ship to another company. Oh, they begged me not to get another company. And they sent M., the most amazing and caring person I had ever met who was a caregiver. We hit it off from the first day and I requested that if she had any shifts she needed filled, I would love to have her. And it was great, until recently. She has children and wanted to spend more time with them in the summer, which I totally get. But...except for my Sunday caregiver, the company doesn't seem to be able to get a driver who isn't a complete flake. And the flakes are flaking out AFTER the company had assured me that they can get a person who drives. After a lot of "will they, won't they?" I am tentatively scheduled to have a driver tomorrow (Thursdays) to take me to a weekly medical procedure. IF no one bothers to show up or something else happens, I am going to find another home healthcare company. I have been dealing with the proverbial "bait and switch" crap for at least a year! This is soooo bad for my physical and mental health. This company never returns calls in a prompt manner.
