I'm taking the time to write a rather long review because I want to share with you the wonderful, life-changing support we've received from the care agency, With A Little Help. I was referred to With A Little Help by a friend of mine who is a hospice nurse. He actually gave me the names of three agencies, and I called them all. The first two had a corporate vibe, and sent me directly into a voicemail black hole. It was days before I heard back. When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. This is just one example of the many, many I could share about the excellent care With A Little Help offers. They aren't a corporate-care behemoth. They are local, owner run, and some of the most caring people I've met in a long time. Kacie and Paul, the owners, worked with us to find the caregivers that are the best fit for our situation. The caregivers are highly skilled, professional, and compassionate. All of them have giant hearts. Visited my home for an assessment then told me the did not have any staff available part time. Waste of my time.

One day each week a skilled and certified nurse assistant helps my wife with various aspects of living that occur during her day. Her degenerative condition has been requiring an escalating level of care from me. When I began experiencing caregiver burnout, I asked a trusted occupational therapist for referrals and With a Little Help was my first choice and we have been so happy with the compassionate and skilled care they provide. I am also incredibly impressed by the thoughtful and active management provided by Kacie. She has put a lot of effort into assigning caregivers that will be a good fit for personality and care needs, and the caregivers provided have been great. You are not considered an important client unless you need 24-hour care. Any business can win Best in the PNW if you get your employees to vote daily. Expect a hard sell then when you sign up for care, they have no caregivers to send you. Look at The Key or Visiting Angels. There are better agencies out there.​ read more

I contacted and spoke with a woman regarding services. Extremely condescending. I went with another agency.

WALH was a life saver when my mom needed extra help. They were able to get someone started right away and then were able to get two regular caregivers. They helped my mom with morning things, getting up, getting dressed, and getting her breakfast. Best of all though was having someone to visit with and tell her stories to. Unfortunately we had to go thru quite a few providers of caregiving. Fortunately we found With a Little Help. They sent us the very best. A veteran of decades providing invigorating cognitive exercises, Connie got immediate results after her 2 hours of mental exercises with my husband. She came equipped with a whole selection of different games, puzzles and books. She expertly chose the right combination in the best sequence which sparked invigorating cerebral reaction. These people are wonderful! I needed some help after surgery temporarily limited my range of motion and physical exertion. They were timely, friendly, and efficient. I have worked with several of the care givers and administrative staff in various capacities, and have always been impressed with their level of concern and compassion for their clients. If you need any kind of homecare services, this is the place to get it! My grandmother needed a caregiver to be with her most of the day. I found out about this place from another friend who had a great experience. I'm surprised there are only 3 yelp reviews. I know its hard to find trusting caregivers and an accommodating staff for your loved ones. Their staff went above and beyond to ensure that my grandma was happy. My father in law got into an accident and he needed somebody to take care of him for a few months. We were apprehensive at first because my father in law is not the easiest person to get along with. But after talking with the staff, who knew me by my first name everytime I called in, genuinely listen to my concerns and assured that they would find somebody that would be a perfect fit. Several months later, my father in law is now back on his feet and has praised all their caregivers. My mother suffered from dementia from 2008 until she died in 2014. In late 2008, the family made the agonizing decision to move her from her home in Port Angeles to a Seattle care facility. Because I live six hours away, I could not visit her as much as I wanted to. The staff at With A Little Help provided an invaluable service. Barbara K. was my mother's main companion, but we were fortunate to have several others. I don't know what we would have done with out WALH. Mom looked forward to each and every visit. Everyone in the organization has an extraordinary capacity of caring, patience and compassion. They gave her happiness at a time in her life when happiness could come only with more than a little effort. I can't say enough about With A Little Help. I am the guardian for an 89 year old man with macular degeneration and Alzheimer's. Robbie from With a Little Help visits my client once a week and it makes such a difference in my client's life. He has a hard time expressing himself and Robbie is an incredibly kind and patient listener. They go out to museums, scenic drives and/or for coffee. My client benefits greatly by the one to one companionship and 'hanging out' with Robbie is the highlight of his week. Robbie is thoughtful and caring and also an advocate for my client.
