Purchased a large custom built home in Murrells Inlet in 2019 from Dawol Homes. There really was…read morenothing exceptional about the house when it was new other than it looked decently priced for the size. Since 2019, we have had several problems with the home, and the warranty and repair service that Dawol uses is problematic. There is a guy Roger who tried hard - but he had a ton of customers, he wasn't really a custom house guy, and the work he did was terrible average. The quality complaints on the house are really from a couple of areas. The quality of the drywall finish is just simply subpar for million plus dollar homes now. There are tons of defects that were present at close. They were never adequately improved, and now as the house ages there are more and more quality defects. Secondly - the quality of paint these guys used is trash. Touch it with a finger and it leaves a mark. It was so lightly sprayed on the walls that any touch up leaves such a poor contrasting texture - even when it was Dawol's team doing the 1 year touch up. Lastly there is a consistent problem with mold and mildew on the front and back porches. We went out and hired a professional to use mold resistant paint when the house was less than a year old as it would accumulate in only a few weeks between pressure washings. The porch ceilings are not built of hardwood - but sheetrock - that was my mistake for not looking carefully at the build details of the porch - but what it really is was a builder cutting corners.

I called him and he said he'd send someone over immediately. I waited for 6 hours and wasted my entire day off and no one came. I called him almost every other day since and it was always "I'll get back to you, I'll get back to you." Needless to say they don't want to take responsibility for the poor quality home they built, it's basically brand new. It's been 3 weeks and no one has came by, which is interesting because they're building 2 new houses right on the street. I'll make sure if I see anyone looking at either of those houses that I'll tell them they don't want to waste their money, it's just going to fall apart in a year. Get your house built from somebody else, you'll regret choosing Dawol.

They left and I had to get a plumber to hook it up. It took him about ten minutes. I called the store and only got a run around. That will be the last time I ever buy anything from Lowes. We had to have an electrician/plumber come out and do some things. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Someone-somewhere cancelled the order. My husband didn't, and I didn't. If I ever find out who-they better look out. I will be buying a new stove and refrigerator beginning in the new year. I will not be going to Home Depot. There are other places such as Ace, Lowe's' and swift appliances. If you see me there, ask me why.

My mom asked if Michelle was there, and she indeed was. Basically last time she was there on her own, Michelle looked at photos of the room that the artwork is going, and made her best recommendation based upon that. And to boot, that artwork has looked great in the rooms my mom got artwork for. So in that note, we asked for her to do the same thing, and we showed her some pictures of the room. We also looked around the store and did find some pictures that worked, for at least one of the rooms. After we looked around the store itself, Michelle showed us her recommendations and we went with one of them. We left with a picture of a house and boats on the water. But it didn't end there, Michelle said that she will text my mom some ideas for the other room, and perhaps find an option that one can order for! Love that! Went home with a photo, paid via credit card, and will definitely be back for our shopping needs, and highly recommend Michelle!

The two delivery technicians, James and Garrett, were adept at moving process and quickly and efficiently brought the furniture up to the second floor of my house. To do so, they navigated a difficult staircase with ease, placed the furniture in the desired location, and illustrated the mechanism of the sleeper sofa. We walked in and was greeted by a nice salesman, and told him that we were looking for a couch. He then left us alone and let us look around. At the time wasn't sure entirely what i was looking for but knew i wanted a couch with a chaise, which is the end that is long and someone can recline on. Now, the selections were meh. When my aunt and mom was here in March 2025, there seemed to be more colors like yellow inside this store (as well as other furniture stores), now maybe March is the time to find yellow, but surprised that in SC that there isn't many bright colored couches anywhere. Anyways, we did find a nice grey couch, but some of the grey colors didn't seem to tickle my fancy. seemed too dark or something. also noticed that this seems to have more leather furniture too, which isn't what I was looking for.
