We were using the self check out and the lady working there tn was on her phone and was not helping me when I requested help me and my friend had to sit there for a while until she decided to get off her phone. We even tried to get her attention. And when I wanted to use a coupon that is clearly on the bottle she was like we can't do that, but why would I not get it for the right value as it is? read more

Target is my happy place! I haven't been to location in so long! It has a different set up than the Charleston locations but it's still as equally good. The store is well lit and organized. Target carries exclusive lines and items. Prices are higher than typical big box stores but I think it's worth it! Target is way nicer! I love that they carry Coastal Carolina gear! Wow, It looks like the reviews of this Target are the target of many people's aggressions. Oh man, I crack myself up. But really, why's everybody hatin' on Tar-Jea? I come to this location whenever I'm visiting my mom. It's one of the only places that sells Fresh Pet dog food and apparently her dog is only capable of eating the finest and most refrigerated of pet foods... don't get me started. I used to live in the area and I know what any of the Walmart's look like, especially on vacation rental move in day. This Target is a welcome alternative to dealing with that shit storm and I've always been able to get in and out quickly... even if it is with a cart full of stupid refrigerated dog food. read more

I am not one to shop at Target since about 10-15 years ago, in another state, at a Target, my credit card number was stolen. That would not be the worst thing in the world, but for me it was. I shopped at Target just before I, alone took my 3 children out of the country on a vacation. I went to use the card, and it was closed. It was embarrassing and extremely inconvenient, if it had not been for me having other credit cards, we would have had some trouble. Since then, I hadn't returned to Target, until two years later the exact same thing happened. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I was looking for a specific item and went into Target on Sayebrook Pkwy. It is a standard looking Target, few of their shelves have been depleted of their stock, some merchandise shelves are somewhat messy. However the grocery department is kept neat as a pin. There is a large assortment of clothing, housewares, seasonal, bedding, electronics and toys in this store, as well as the grocery department. It is not a bad store, but I have been burned by the memory of what had happened to me, on vacations I had long saved for. I found what I was shopping for, was treated politely by a friendly cashier and I paid cash. I have not had any dealings with their customer service department, so cannot evaluate. This is a good Target for most to shop at, and my past experience happened somewhere else. I would say I had not had any negative experience there, I was treated well. I would recommend anyone who shops at Target, this is a good store. I just have my issues. read more

[UPDATE] (3 1/2 - 4 stars) My husband called the manager about two weeks ago, to try to get a couple of certain items that they didn't carry, in stock, because of my Celiac. We were asking specially for gluten free pasta. The manager claimed that she has a gluten intolerance too. She let us know that they do have gluten free pasta, that she eats it herself and that if we stopped by the customer service, they'd be happy to give us a tour to show us what else they have in gluten free items. That sounded promising. I checked out the pasta on my next shopping visit, and it isn't truly gluten free. Anything that states "made with products that contain wheat" or anything thereof, even listing "modified food starch", is not truly gluten free, as she claimed. So I was upset by that, because I was looking forward to Target having my items. As for the tour, I haven't found the time to do that yet, but during the shopping times I have been there, I have discovered more items that are gluten free. Cross continuation is a big worry with companies that also do 'normal' foods; so the items being truly free of gluten, is something that will have to be tested. All in all, she said that they will not be ordering any items because they "already have them" - I have to say to this - No, you do not. Not truly gluten free items. Just marking it gluten free, does not make it so. Although this doesn't keep me from shopping there, it does make me wonder if they really know what Celiac Disease / gluten intolerance really is, as this manager claimed she did... plus, a couple of the cashiers have been rude the last few times I've visited this store.. same ones, to all, not just me. I try to avoid them. :| --Original Review: (5 stars) This was my first time shopping for food at this Target. I usually just get a coffee at the Starbucks that's within the store, sometimes pick up something small, if anything, then leave. ...but on this day, I decided to give it a try, for the first time, shopping for other things. I'm normally adventurous but when it comes to saving money, I really try to stick to what I'm used to... but I ventured out on this one and I'm extremely happy I did. By the time I was paying for everything, I was kicking myself that I hadn't shopped there much sooner. I love the shopping carts - I felt like I was pushing around a tonka toy ;) ...I played with some while I was young - and apparently, so did my husband, because we kinda fought over who was going to push it. ..we ended up sharing though. His side, my side. :) During my shopping visit, I was blown away mainly with the produce. It was fresh, organized and eye pleasing. I didn't see any gnats, flies or smelled that usual rotting smell. The cost wasn't bad either! The entire time I explored, comparing to my usual store and found that this Target was either the same price, or cheaper. They even carry the very hard to find items that I usually have to purchase via online (which are expensive) so needless to say, I was shocked. I think I actually let out a scream of excitement because a few other customers and one employee seemed concerned. They quickly realized why, then giggled at me. :) It's Target, not the Easter Bunny's basket, but it felt like it. -I'm on a very hard to find (and eat) diet (Celiac), so finding items that I can't find but online and/or over an hour away -(that doesn't deliver)- I was beyond happy. These items weren't even carried by my usual hard out of the way store. And the prices were lower. As I walked along the aisles, everything was well stocked, organized and some items were on clearance/marked down way before the 'best buy'/'shelf life' date was even close. There are some items they don't carry that I need for my diet, that are at my other store, but as my husband suggested, I'll speak to the manager and maybe he'll carry them. The staff, which I spoke to three during my visit on this day, were very helpful, pleasant and each one actually put a smile on my face due to their professionalism. That alone, was completely the opposite from my usual shopping places - Wal-Mart, Bi-Lo and sometimes, Kroger. *argh* The checkout cashier, wow, she was just like very happy to be there... :) We enjoyed that. The parking lot is nicely done. The asphalt isn't all chewed up, basically, cheaply done. I've been there while it was getting dark, a couple of times, and I do believe they need a few more lights, for safety. Although this store is over 20 to 25 minutes away from us, with heavy traffic, I have decided that this store will be our go-to store from here on out, even though my usual is just 10 minutes away without any hassles. We go to this Target for the Starbucks, might as well get everything else there as well! It's worth it, even if it's just a few cents more on a few items, the quality is much better and they take care of their employees, and it shows. read more

Very poor communication with customers, some of the employees kept confusing me one told me that the PS5 was in stock and the other told me it wasn't in stock. One employee I had an issue with was named "Mike" he told me it was in stock but when to the storage room and didn't find it so I left and asked another lady she told me it was in stock so I went back to "Mike" and he started to complain that the other lady didn't know anything, later I wanted to have be a member with them and buy a card but no one wanted to assist me in buying it. read more

Popped into this Target today for the first time actually. I usually find myself in the other Myrtle Beach Target over on Seaboard street, only because its closer for me, but this Target on Sayebrook is near my work. Popped in real quick for a hot minute for the 2 things i needed, haha. I loved how welcoming and clean target is - Not just this one specifically, but all target's I have ever step foot in. Such an upgrade from Walmart!!! As I made a quick circle around the entire store, I realized it hit home for me. This target resembled more of the target back in my home town than the one on Seaboard street. I walked in and 'Oh, theres the nice large selection of women's clothing to the left, that stretches across the entire left wall, the whole length of the store', *sheds cute happy tear* :' ). Lol. You know when something just reminds you of home, well this was it. Not that I ever want to go back and live in that crappy shit town that I'm originally from again. Was in target this Sunday am shopping for food and drinks for the work week and to start collecting medicine and extra stuff in case stores close due to the virus.... I was upset to find that NO Cash registers were open... only 3/4 self check out ... so here I am with my shopping cart full and I had to do ur employees job and check my self out. Target is paying $13 to start but had no register open ??? Yea even Walmart has a couple open along with self check ... target u are a disappointment! Getting very frustrated with the pricing in this store. Nothing is consistent with their systems. Examples: Lemons Shelf tag, lemon clearance .19, register scans .54 Skinny Pop popcorn, Cartwheel app scans $3.00, Register scanned $3.29 Kelloggs CornFlakes, 18oz, Shelf $2.79, In store price checker says "item not in system", Cartwheel app $3.14 Rice Krispies 12 oz, Shelf $2.79, Register $3.14 I hate having to be their pricing watchdog and when you point it out to the clerk, they get "pissy" like you are trying to cheat them. It is very time consuming and frustrating. I would tell everyone to watch your pricing. Out of my 9 items, I had 4 errors. That's a 45% error rate. Unacceptable! This is a brand new Target. The store is very clean, as expected. The have a great selection! I am not sure how I feel about the set up, the placement of the check out is a little confusing. The store is huge and has everything you could ever need. The parking is good too. Stop in, I am sure that you will find what you are looking for. read more

The customer service here was horrible. Waited 20 minutes to ask about a sale that was clearly marked with a sign and she got rude with me. It wasn't worth the $5 of me waiting and getting upset at the way she talked to me so I walked out. Upsetting because I love target, I just moved to the area so now I drive 25 minutes just to shop here and I get treated rudely. read more
