I've been dealing with home health care aides for over 25 years as my husband is disabled and when I needed an agency for my 95 year old father, I tried them. What a mistake.

I'm in Maryland but he doesn't have any family nearby so I am the next best thing. I didn't know how to go about looking for someone. I called a couple of home care agencies but they were expensive and was not sure what we were getting for $25 to $27 an hour. When i looked online there were many different ways to go and I was a bit overwhelmed. So I went on Yelp which i periodically due for restaurants and such. I was surprised that LeanOnWe jumped at me. The reviews were strong and they were varied. At first I didn't realize that they were any different than the home care agencies. Then i realized that they weren't an agency but just a way for me to connect with someone that my uncle would end up hiring. Very clever. Since my uncle would be hiring the caregivers, it was meaningfully less expensive but would give us everything we were looking for. So I called up and told LeanOnWe what my uncle was dealing with, where he lives, and what he was looking for. They sent bios of 5 people who fit the bill, my uncle and i spoke to two of them on the phone and decided to hire one of them. It worked out great. What a creative way for us to manage this process. We would have been stuck otherwise. So far the woman we chose has been working for about three weeks and all is working well. It is nice knowing that if she can't make it we can always go back to LeanOnWe and find someone else. A happy customer

The caregiver constantly manipulates the family against each other in order to get his way. Every time I try to replace him the agency interferes and ignores my requests even though I am the one hired them and I am the one who pays the caregiver who I dislike immensely. I should not have to be a situation where I am forced to keep a caregiver that I dislike. They don't return my phone calls and they ignore my requests to get a different caregiver. Instead of working with me to replace this caregiver who has created an extremely toxic environment, the agency will go behind my back and reach out to another family member who has very little to do with the caregiving, is easily manipulated and it results in arguments about replacing the caregiver. I don't want a caregiver who is only in it for the money and who does not have patients wellbeing in mind. I constantly have to step in and make sure the patient is being cared for. I should be allowed to replace a caregiver that I have no trust in. The caregiver should not be in charge and the agency should not be in charge. Thay have made a difficult situation even more difficult by pitting family members against each other. I dislike them immensely. Be careful

The day of the class I was stuck in traffic due to an accident and she kept in touch with me the entire time . It resulted in me being 15 minutes late to the class. However, she didn't want to start the class until I got there. Which I truly appreciate. She wasn't afraid to correct us when we were wrong, which is something I am really big on. She provided us with snack and drinks. She was really friendly and when my certification expires I will be looking for her again. Thank you.

Okay, I will rewrite MY FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE.* During an uncomfortable time a sometime ago, I had a painful itch caused by boils and hemorrhoids.   It's bad enough having this while standing, but driving and not being able to do something takes it a step higher.   I was finally able to get my hands on a tube of Careone Hemorrhoidal Ointment.   Using this product was a relief for me...just like the song Armored Hot Dog from the movie Demolition Man. Spreading thing product over the targeted areas spelled instant relief.   Spreading the ointment on the boils took away the pain too. Checking the boils in the morning was a surprise to me.  The pea size boils on the lips of my gluteus maximus had shrunk as well.  I find this to be a double blessing,  because the pain was irritating.  Careone Hemorrhoidal Ointment really helped me out of a nudnik situation. Even today, I can feel some boils on the back of my thighs that I can't pop, but i will put a little of this Careone Hemorrhoidal Ointment on it and I will be all right. I recommend grabbing a tube of this product to cure what ails you.  This tube comes with an attachment so you can insert the product inside you if nessasary.   Instructions on what to do are on the box cover.  There will be no sheet of instructions inside the box.  The cost of this product is less expensive compared to Preperation H.  You can find Careone Hemorrhoidal Ointment in almost any food/drug store. Hope you find the pain relief you need as I have.

I found TLC online and at first they told us they didn't have Chinese aide however they would try their best. I didn't hold much of hope at the moment and continued trying other agencies. The place is just 7 blocks from where I live, so it's very convenient, and if you take the bus NJ transit bus #159 stops right on the side. The first day, they took my history and then they evaluated me-what I could do and what I couldn't do. Then they started with warm up exercises. Afterwards they had me on the table and gave my leg and knee a really good stretch. After we finished, they made future appointments based on what my surgeon wanted. I've been going for 2 months and it's been a huge difference since day one, I have 2 more, maybe 3 more weeks and I'll be working on strengthening and balance. I'm So glad I went to them, I definitely recommend them. WC
